Chapter 14

Jack, Reggie, and Jason each started to laugh at the same time. “Bobby’s back.”

“What are you going to do?” Jason asked Bobby.

“I’m the go-for. I’ll keep you in paint, clean rollers, clean brushes and I’ll do the cut in and the trim work. I don’t trust any of you idiots to get it right.”

Cisco looked at Bobby and said, “I beg your pardon?”

“Not you and Greg, Cisco, the other three.”

Jake knocked on the door and walked in with Davey. Bert and Jeremy followed. “What do you need us to do?”

“Unfortunately, what I have left is the dirtiest job. Beau’s apartment needs to be cleaned. The furniture needs to be put out on the curb or taken to the dump. I won’t kid you, Jack and Carlo said it’s filthy.”

“I’m excellent at cleaning,” Davey announced proudly.

“I’ll work with my Davey,” Jake said.

“Bert and I will move out the furniture. If there are any pieces worth saving, we’ll take them to Goodwill.”

“Trust me,” Jack said dryly. “There aren’t.”
