Chapter five true strength

A load scream ripped the air. Rin my head whipped around my body moved before my brain could proses anything but my children in danger I made it back to them as a man had a sword aimed at her he was about to lung till I move forward fact my open palm found his face as he was two feet from her my aura came undone.

"Stupid stupid stupid!" I yelled as my hands balled into a fist and they started glowing pink they would feel the same burn as if I was fighting a demon the pink glow traveled over my body and I rushed him. "You shouldn't have attacked my family!" I said as my knee connected with his gut breaking a few bones sending him flying I turned to the others. "Take your friend and leave or so help me the gods wouldn't be able to stop me from beating your asses." I said they all tensed and two guys that were close to the downed man grabbed him and ran. "Any other wise men going to run?" I asked as they all laughed. All of the rest of them are demons other than the three that just left. Jaken turned to me as I stopped glowing.

"Mama you will get killed!" Shippo yelled.

"Jaken takes the kids I will be fine trust me my teachers would be ashamed of me for hiding so long." I said as I moved forward fist by my face keeping my self guarded at all times. "I'll show you why my senses are so feared." I said as I neared them. "And why humans shouldn't be underestimated!" My left fist shot out and cold-cocked him he fell with a broken jaw into an unconscious state. "Who's next?" I asked. Looking at each one in the eye all stepping back from me. "Take your friend and leave." I said turning from them interlocking my fingers behind my head and walked to where Jacken and the kids where Shippo started to yell and point but I already knew I jumped unlocking musicals that I haven't used in a while as I push my self up in the air turning in a double backflip I was behind them landing and glaring full force. "No more mercy." I said and attacked the first fell to my elbow the second my back roundhouse third fell to my right open palm as the others ran for the hills I snort and turn on my heel and gulp at the look on my kids faces I pried I hadn't just fucked up.

"Guys, you ok?" I asked coming closer as tears rolled down Rin's face she ran towards me I dropped to one knee and scooped her up and walked over to Shippo and scooped him up sitting him on my shoulder. Rin cried into my shirt and I rubbed her back. "Hush now my child I'm here I will keep you save." This made her mad.

"But who will keep you save Mommy I just got a Mommy and a brother I don't want to lose you!" She yelled at me.

"I'm sorry for scaring your little one come on we don't want to be here when they wake." I said.

"Wait you mean they're not dead?" Jacken asked.

"Jacken if I wanted them dead I would have left my spiritual powers up." I said as I was about to start walking when Sesshomaru and Inuyasha came out. "Again I say I do not wish to be here when they wake." I said to Sesshomaru who nodded and we took to walking as Rin cried in my shoulder. "How about this little one." She looked at me. "I'll teach you and Shippo everything I know about hand-to-hand combat as well as weapons so you two and Sesshomaru can watch my back would you guys like that?" I asked them they both looked at me and nodded. "But I should warn you it won't be easy." I said. "I can't count the number of times my sensei nearly killed me I will push you both to and beyond your breaking points but I want you both to tell me something why do you wish to be stronger?" Both looked at me than at each other.

"I don't know." Shippo said

"Me either." Rin said making me sigh.

"I need an answer before I can start training you. I need to know you're doing this for the right reasons take my brother and I, for example, he wanted nothing but the power just for power's sake. Where I... I never wanted to let a man take advantage of me again I wanted to be strong enough to defend myself and those I care about." I said sitting Rin and Shippo down. "Now you two no more tears it's not a good look for you the happy hyper is far more your look." I said as we walked. Rin for once was silent lost in thought we walked back to the clearing with the others Maroku was in between Sango and Kykio.

"What's going on?" I asked walking up.

"That damn bitch is saying you're a demon." I throw my head back and laughed I laughed so hard I was crying and having trouble breathing.

"Oh dear god no I'm not a demon Kykio do you really think I am? After all you and I have the same soul."

"Must you try my patients!" She yelled as she reached for her bow I sigh and move I grabbed her wrist and spin her arm around her back and wrapped my other arm around her neck locking my arm and pinned her arm against her back.

"Are you sure it's wise to try mine?" I asked tightening my grip on her throat to make my point. "I don't want to kill you Kykio but I will if I must." I said that and let her go and stepped away from her and walked back to my kids.

"Mama that was awesome!" Shippo said I can feel her angry glare on my back.

"Thanks, little man." I said. "I'll be right back." I said and walked into the woods I dig to the bottom of my bag and pull out a second bad I reached into this bag and pulled out the third bag and sat the other down and found the after-school outfit I changed from this damn thing into my black leggings my black combat boots my black tank chainmail over the top hucked my weapons and then pulled on my dark purple loose-fitting wide long-sleeved that comes down just below my ass. I put these bag s in one hand and head back to the others and drop the bags next to Ah-Uhn and patted him on his side. "Hey, big guy." Everyone looked at me. "What?" I asked.

"You look amazing Lady Kagome." Miroku said.

"Hands off Miroku," I warned

"You're a priestess you shouldn't..." Kykio started until I gave her a flat look.

"No, you are a priestess I'm simply a street fighter with spiritual powers. And before you ask a street fighter is someone who fights in everyday life, not in tournaments simple story I was attacked one day and I defended myself and people keep coming after me till my mom took me and Sota away from my father and we moved cities." I said with a shrug and a chuckle. Sesshomaru growled.

"He wants to know what's funny." Shippo asked.

"Well-street fighters give each other nicknames so they can spread a rumor without cops picking us up. Cops are people who enforce the law."

"So this street fighting is illegal?" Miroku asked.

"Yea but I don't start it. No, I just always finish it in any case mine happened to be Black Demon or Midnight Raven. And Kykio calling me demon just brought back some memories that I haven't thought of in a while. I wonder how they're holding without me... then again I really shouldn't worry those two fools are more than capable of holding their own without me." I said shaking my head muttering.

"Who mommy?" Rin asked.

"Old battle buddies." I said smiling at her. "I'll tell you about these two later but for now since it's almost lunchtime let's eat something if that's ok with you." I said to Sesshomaru who nodded. "Ok, then Shippo firewood Rin water, and here you two." I said clicking out two Kuni Knives. "One each If anything happens scream but use these to hold them off till we get there I will show you the right way to use them after lunch ok."

"Ok." They said taking them from me and I gave Rin the water bottles.

"Which way to the water?" She asked. Sesshomaru pointed to the left and she ran off and Shippo left to find firewood.

"Already time to work a little magic." I said as Sesshomaru sat under a tree near me glaring at Inuyasha Sango and Miroku sat in front of me.

"What do you mean magic?"

"A friend of mine in my time taught me a few spells to keep my ass out of trouble." I said reaching behind me and pulling the ribbon out of my hair and let it fall down my back. I reached into the third bag again. "She taught me how to make my bags infant why do you think I can fit so much in that bag." I said nodding at the yellow bag. "She taught me a spell to manipulate objects to change them and their size. Hey, Sesshomaru have you adopted Rin?" I asked him he tilted his head like what? "Adoption is where you claim a child as your own I believe that is how it is done here." I said.

"Why would hell she's a human." Inuyasha said.

"Sit." I say as I sighed and looked at Sesshomaru who shakes his head no. "Ok then just how you reacted yesterday made me think you had." I said pulling out two sets of pants tank tops shirts and chain mail. I sat them in two piles and I held my hands over the one as I muttered the spell they glowed a soft pink and when the light faded it was now two sets of black pants two pink tanks two chain mail and two white shirts with all sorts of colorful flowers on them. I nodded and then placed my hands over the others and did the same thing only difference was his turned into three pairs of midnight blue pants, chain mail midnight blue tanks a Midnight blue shirts with red flames. "There we go." I said setting them to the side. A growl came from Sesshomaru. "There for the kids to train in." I said looking up at him he shook his head and stood up and walked over and pulled on the chain mail. "O you want to know what that is." A nod. "Ok." I said and smiled at him. "This is chain mail its a type of armor its lighter gives more movement than plate mail like what you wear." I said. I reach under my shirt collar and pull mine up over to show him. "I wear some two its heavy but since I don't have all the equipment my teachers did I will have to do something different but trust me I will probably have them falling asleep at dinner I know I did when I was training." He chuckled and nodded and sat down and leaned against Ah-Uhn as Rin and Shippo came back. I smiled at her and then pulled out food to start cooking afterward I looked at them. "All right you two." I said. "Before we start to go change into these." I said handing them the pants and tanks. "Then come back."

"I thought you said you wanted an answer before you started training us." Shippo said.

"All I'm going to teach you how to use a Kuni so you can hold people off till either Sesshomaru or I get there to help you." I said and they nodded.

"Why not just train them in what you know?" Sango asked.

"Because they need to have the right answer to the question." I said.

"What question?" Inuyasha asked from his spit next to Kykio.

"Why do you want power." I said looking at him.

"That's a hard question to find one answer to." Miroku said. I smiled at him as Shippo and Rin came over to me.

"Now you two can you answer my question?"

Rin spoke first. "Rin died once because I was too weak to defend myself. I want to get stranger so that can't happen again."

"Rin answer me this if you were with someone who was injected and you were surrounded by enemies would you leave that person?"

"No!" Rin said horror was written on her face. "I would never leave some injected alone like that!" She said I nodded and turned to Shippo.

"Do you have an answer?" I asked him.

"I want to protect people as well as myself I don't ever want to feel useless and I don't want to lose anyone else I I I." I placed a hand on his head.

"Very good both of you." I said and reached into the two smaller bags that were sitting beside me. I handed them the chain mail and overshirt. "Put the chain mail on first then the shirt. From now on your both under training and you both will wear these there is one more set for you Rin and two for Shippo in these bags. I used magic to recreate mine and that's how it divided. Now you will wear these at all times Rin I will understand if you would feel more convertible wearing a kimono over it while in villages you can do so but you don't have to as my child and as my student, I do not see anything wrong with it you are fully covered as it is." I said to her and she nodded. A growl came from behind me. I looked at Shippo.

"He says that if we are going to be here a while he would like the book he was reading from last night."

"Ok." I said standing up and walking over to my big yellow bag and found the book and throw it at him. He of course caught it. I rolled my eyes and turned to the kids who were pulling on their chain mail and shirt. "Already then let's get to work." I said
