Out of Control

"What have you done?" A quivering twenty-something-year-old man shouted.

Goblin and the others froze and shivered, "not him!" they all thought.

"Legion!" Goblin yelled.

"What have you done to my father and friends?!" Legion yelled. 

All seven of the spiders threw gas pellets at the ground. The explosion of smoke surprised Legion. 

He threw up a hand and a forcefield appeared. "Don't y'all be thinkin' ya can catch me by surprise!" 

A pumpkin bomb exploded on the surface of the forcefield. The bomb didn't even make the forcefield shake. A large hand punched the forcefield, and the force was so great that it popped!

"I see, you think big muscles are the answer! I'll show you that it's the mind that matters!" A mental blast assaulted Goliath Spider. It was so powerful, that he was blasted through a wall. 

A shock attacked Legion from behind while a feminine arm stretched out and a stinger pierced the base of Legion's neck. 

Legion felt the prick and nearly collapsed from shock. Just before he passed out, another personality came out.

"I ain't gonna fall just 'cause of some little sting," a gravelly voice said. Whatever damage was done, instantly disappeared. 

Spiderman shot his webs at Legion forming a cocoon around him. Phantom Lady cast darkness around the cocoon and wrapped adamantium wires around him. 

Legion was only trapped for a moment when he stepped out of the cocoon, he could phase now. Phantom Lady threw a bomb and moved away. Legion's eyes turned red and he looked at Phantom Lady even though she was enshrouded by shadows. 

He pointed at her and a point of light formed. Before he could shoot, Miles electrocuted him again, but this time, it didn't affect Legion. "Tanks Me Laddie for the power-up!" Legion fired.

Spiderman swung in and saved Phantom Lady. They moved just as the tiny blast flashed through their space. The blast hit Goliath Spider as he rejoined the group. He yelled in pain when he was struck by the blast and flew back once more.

Spider-Bat Woman focused her telekinesis into an invisible sword and swung it. The sword slashed Legion across the face. He shrieked in pain. She commanded him to give up, in his mind. White Widow threw a fear bomb that exploded in Legion's face. 

 This turned out to be an escape as Legion ran through nearly fifty powers at once, and the Spider Teens were forced to leap out of the way.

They watched in horror as one of the powers struck Wolverine disintegrating half of his body. Only the adamantium skeleton was left in those parts. 

"Everyone, retreat! We can't fight him here. Head to the south lawn, I'll bring him over," Goblin commanded. The others seemed to evaporate as Goblin's glider produced machine gun turrets and opened fire. He turned the glider after leaving a pumpkin bomb. 

He could hear Legion screaming in rage and fear. His rage overcame his fear and he transformed once more into a hulking creature of destruction. Goblin gulped, but when he reached outside, he joined the shadows. 

Legion rushed outside to discover no one was there.

"You think you can hide from me? I can find you anywhere in this world!" A new personality overtook him, but it wasn't clear what power this one had. 

Legion turned his head around and stopped while looking in a particular direction. He lifted his hand and gathered energy. A hand grabbed his foot and shocked him. He cried out in pain and nearly passed out from the shock. A hand appeared and a stinger popped out. It stung him in his neck. 

A yellow light appeared around his head, it came for Phantom Lady who transformed her cape into a cloth-like wrap. Legion couldn't breathe.

A huge fist punched him in the gut, and what little air he had came out. From syringes to mental attacks, the seven teenagers were unrelenting. Even for an out-of-control Legion who spun through his powers and personalities unbelievably fast, it was too much!

That didn't mean Legion went down easily. The teens were suffering from injuries as they took down one of the most powerful mutants in the world. Their armors were damaged, and their energy was nearly depleted.

Finally, Legion fell! The Goblin wrapped Legion in another adamantium wire binding. He couldn't move any of his body no matter how hard he tried. He shot a sedative into the mutant and had Spider-Bat Woman feed a message into his head to dream a happy dream. 

Once he was secure, the spiders collapsed onto the ground for a moment. 

"I'll call Batman before anything else goes wrong," Goblin said. 

The weary fighters dragged Legion to the holding cells and through him in. Batman appeared and nodded in satisfaction.

"Not bad, I'll give you a B-. You have graduated from Basic training," Batman said.

"Basic training!" The seven teens exclaimed together.
