24- Pure chaos

Emma's POV:

The car slowed down as he pulled into the driveway.

"I will finish some last few things, and it'll be ready for you tomorrow," I spoke as I struggled to put my jacket back on. Luke opened his door and, seconds later, when i closed the zip of the puffer all the way up, he opened the passenger door for me.

I smiled, hanging the tote bag over my shoulder as I stepped outside the car, "I thought we agreed I could open the door myself?" He smiled without saying anything.

Despite being above average in height, standing so close to him made me feel small. I had to tilt my head slightly upward to see his face clearly.

No one said anything. I started freaking out and wanted a way out of the situation, "Well, I should go, so I have time to finish the portrait before bed," I closed the passenger door, "Goodnight!" I turned around and walked to the door, trying to keep my body as relaxed as it could be.
