Amanda thought she was born this way, to be betrayed, and end up like a fool who doesn't know what it is to live like a powerful person. Chapter 66
"Hey!" Shannon wailed, but couldn't help smiling,
"The way you looked when you made a wrong move and messed up!" Amanda laughed even harder.
Shannon turned red in embarrassed as Amanda joked about her.
"Well, I wouldn't want you to leave either." Amanda said,
"Wait, you're taking me in?" Shannon was surprised.
"If I asked you to stay, will you be my stepsister?" Amanda asked,
"Yes!" Shannon squealed.
They made an agreement to become sisters.
"But-" Shannon tried to ask,
"I'll handle it." Amanda went to Nicholas's place.
Simeon was kneeling in front of Nicholas and was pleading.
Barney Wiles was there too.
"You can't do this to us after we made a great profit of your company." Barney complained,
"All these years I have been paying for your DEBTS because of your god-forsaken SON! You never even heard me complaining!" Nicholas yelled.
"Why don't you let it go grandfather?" Amanda said.
Everyone looked at her surprised.
"Amanda, you can't possibly let your mother's hardwork be in their hands." Nicholas fumed,
"Don't you remember grandfather about what mom said about the company before?" Amanda reasoned.
"You've been arguing with them for a long time yet they still insist to have it. Give it to them, anyway, what's the worse that can happen." Amanda sighed.
Nicholas finally remembered.
Selene would never let Simeon handle her company.
Unless it's a sidepiece of the other.
"Fine!" Nicholas growled,
"You can have it. But don't ever ask for help to me or have me solve your problems. From now on, the Wiles and the Auriga family no longer have connections." Nicholas said.
"But-" Simeon hesitated,
"Fine! We will do as you said." Barney growled.
He left the house and Nicholas ordered the housekeepers to pack Simeon and Sabrina's things.
Simeon was sitting on the couch with the look of defeat.
Everyone kept silent.
"By the way, grandfather." Amanda broke the silence,
"Yes, dear?" Nicholas looked at her worriedly,
"About Shannon." Amanda cracked.
"What's with it?"
"Well, I was thinking since she isn't Simeon's or Sabrina's, her parents are dead and she no longer has anything to reside." Amanda said quietly.
Shannon shifted nervously.
"And?" Nicholas raised an eyebrow already knowing what she's gonna say.
"If we let her stay with us. Maybe she can be of good use with her skills." Amanda said.
"Maybe. If she can prove herself worthy." Nicholas sighed.
Shannon's face lit up and jumped on Amanda.
