Chapter six

It's been a while since that day. He does the same thing each night. I like it, but today is going to be really different.

(Keith)

"Okay Dozi, I saw that kick how long have you known to fight like that?" I ask

"Hmmm, about....forever," she says with a shrug. I sit by her as she eats her pancakes.

"How old are you anyway?" I ask wiping her pink hair behind her ear.

"Uh in human years....um..." she holds up her fingers and flashes them at me twise then does a one.

"21?" I ask

"Yes, that!" She smiles.

"So what else can you do?" I ask leaning on the table.

"Hmmm...oh oh oh! I once shot a ship down and killed like 50 people!" She says bouncing in her seat. I start to think, how could someone so nice be so dangerous. I stand up.

"Well, I'll teach you some more... earth-like tactics," I say

"Ooo, okay!" she jumps up and walks behind him as he leads me out into the beach. I jump into the water not looking back at her.

(Dozi)

I stare at the water and get a flashback to that night. I take a deep breath then dive in after him. I open my eyes it doesn't hurt it's just cold. I close my eyes quickly and curl up in a ball holding my eyes trying to warm them. I feel my hands grab mine.

I open my eyes and see Keith he smiles at me and points to his hoodie at the bottom of the water. I look at him then dive down to get it. Shortly after I can't breathe I cover my mouth and close my eyes I look back at Keith who is rushing to my side within a second he's at my side pulling me to shore.

My eyes start to blur right as we reach the shore I gasp in the air and cough a few times. I look over at Keith.

"Maybe no swimming for a while..Okay," Keith says pulling me onto his lap. I lay my head on him.

"I'd still beat you up if we had a wall around," I say arrogantly He chuckles.

"Let's test that out then," he says smiling.

"Wait really?" I ask looking into his eyes.

"Yeah, I mean might as well right?" I nod and we go inside to his gym in the basement. We take off our shoes and leave them by the stairs. I go close to the wall into a corner.

"Alright let's try something, say I'm some scary guy trying to kidnap you."

"But your not scary," I say smiling. He kisses my cheek.

"Be serious love" He says chuckling. He puts his fists and grabs my arm and pulls me away from the wall. My heart pounds.

"Ow hey let go!" I say trying to get back to the wall. He keeps pulling me I snap I grab his arm and flip him. With my arms free I wait for him to get up I run up the wall and try to kick him in the head again. He blocks me and grabs my leg-spinning me around.

Before he can throw me I grab his arms and punch him in the face. He grins and slowly stops spinning tell I softly rest on the ground.

"Pretty good" He says grinning.

(Keith)

I'm surprised how well she could fight. I help her up and kiss her.

"So you weren't going as hard as you could?" she asks I hold her close.

"Nah, you're just starting you'll get there some day." I smile at her and she pushes me away grabs her shoes and goes upstairs.

"Dozi?" I walk up to her and she slams the door in my face. at

"Hey what's wrong?" I try to open the door but see it's locked.

"Dozi let me in" I yell now worried.

"No!" She yells.

"Dozi...I" she cuts me off.

"I said no now go away!!" I sigh and walk to the couch and watch tv.

(Dozi)

I sit on the bed and frown. What does he mean I'll get there. Am I not human enough...I look in the mirror and look at my ears. That's why. I walk out and sneak to the kitchen. I grab a knife and feel the sharp part on the point of my ear.

"What are you doing!" Keith yells I jump and drop the knife my ear bleeds a little. I feel and see my point is still there.

"Uhg!" I pick the knife up and he takes it away from me.

"NO!" He yells. I sniff and cry. I shake and hug him tightly.

"I want to be normal!" I scream.
