Ayumi

I am Ayumi Madrigal, the sole Survivor of Katana pack. Katana Pack are werewolves who are blessed with abilities sought after by people. Abilities we can harness when we turn 18 years old after our first shift. We share these abilities with our true mate, mate chosen by the Moon Goddess. Once a Katana member dies our abilities are passed on to our family member or our mate. Making them acquire more strength, providing them with a new ability. I have been hunted for 8 years now by Tibolo pack; the people responsible for my packs' demise. Although I am powerful, revenge is not an option. Surviving is my priority. I have discovered recently that my mate is the only Son of Alpha Apollo Saavedra head of Tibolo pack. He is my hunter who turned prey. Will he survive the surge of pain till the full moon? How will his pack accept the fact that now I am paired by the Moon Goddess to its future Alpha.

I felt the warm breeze of the beach. I sensed a calming atmosphere then I heard the waves from afar. I remembered, I allowed Alora to meet Drew, Devon's wolf, earlier. I can feel Devon's breathing hitting my hair. I felt content, I felt at home.

I slowly opened my eyes then I found out that I was lying on the couch next to Devon. His arm was under my neck and the other was wrapped around my waist. I sighed relief when I realized we were both fully clothed. The wolves did not go overboard. I lifted my head and then I scanned my eyes around the living room. I placed my head back on Devon's arm. I smirked at my observation.

They made a mess. The wolves did have fun. The room was in total chaos. Some of the Furnitures were knocked off, decorations and pictures are scattered on the floor. As if the living room was devastated by a hurricane. "Oh boy" I said to myself. I sighed in disbelief.

"Anything you want to share, Alora?" I asked my wolf while staring at my sleeping mate. I started interrogating my wolf. I stared at my mate while doing so. He looked exhausted. I wanted to touch his face, those prominent jaws. He has an angular shaped eyebrow; they matched his blue eyes. He bears an attractive lip. I could not help but stare at them.

"Nope." Alora snapped. It made my eyes roll with her comment. "You are drooling over my mate, Ayumi." She reminded me. I bit my lower lip in amusement.

"So, you're doing this huh?! If you blocked me again just so you can play hanky punky with Drew, I will block you till full moon" I threatened her.

"Whoa you're not going to do that, that's being too harsh". She complained. "You sounded like mom" I smiled at her comment. "Besides how I can I keep my hands off from this gorgeous man. Just look at him" she exclaimed. Her comment made me smile more.

I glanced at my watch, it is almost 12 noon, I am hungry. But my Devon is still asleep. I better cook us food, I thought. I slowly lifted Devon's arm from my waist then I carefully slid up so I could stand but Devon grabbed me back tightening his hug. My face shoved to his neck then he kissed my head.

"5 more minutes, mate" he sighed "this feels perfect. You can continue whatever you are doing, I do not mind." he huskily said. I furrowed my brows; I did not understand what he was talking about. He opened his eyes and made eye contact.

"You have been staring at me for the past few minutes" he said with a smile. "Do not worry, I don't mind." His face was serious, but his voice was laced with amusement. I smiled then wiggled myself closer to him. He chuckled; he then took a deep breath.

"Don't move too much, I'm barely controlling Drew, love. We do not want Drew to come up again and take control again.", told me with his husky voice. I could feel his arousal.

"I can smell your arousal mate; it doesn't help either". I bit my lips with his comment. This wolf scent is giving me away.

"I better get off then.", I said then smiled at him. "We need to eat", I am famished." told him. I removed his arm wrapping around me then I sat. He Sighed heavily.

"I can't wait to mark you." He spoke, squinting his eyes since the sun was already up. "Why do we have to wait for full moon again." He sat down on the couch while scratching his head in confusion. He looked at the mess around. His eyes widened in surprise, he stared at me.

"It's because we're Katana wolves. If we mark each other before the full moon, the bond wave will be more excruciating. It's true mates test, what I know is that those pains were actually our body adjusting for ability sharing." I said to him shaking his head in disbelief. I already told him about that last night, but he kept on bringing it up. Then he nodded his head, as if he understood what I meant.

"Got it. But... I do not have any ability to share. I mean that is how Katana wolves are known for. You were legends because you possess abilities that other kinds of wolf don't." He wrinkled his brows. I smiled at his comment.

"Told you, it's there (pointed on his chest), just bottled up by your mom. If you are a Katana wolf with no ability, do you think I would really mind?" I said, then stood up then started walking towards the kitchen. I tipped my toes, avoiding the random things scattered on the floor. Devon sat on the couch.

"Our wolves, they really had fun. Drew blocked me out. He told me I was nosy", he laughed while commenting. I looked at him, then smirked at him.

"Alora did block me too. You better clean that mess though." Pointing to the things scattered on the floor. There were pillows, vases, figurine decorations and picture frames scattered everywhere. He stared at them and looked at me then smiled.

"Yes ma'am!" He started picking up things, but he suddenly stopped and stared at a picture frame on the floor. The picture of him and his mom was on the floor, but the frame was broken. The same picture that I grabbed yesterday. Before he could pick it up, he noticed a hidden folded paper protruding on the side of its frame.

He hurriedly picked up the picture frame, took the paper and started unfolding it. I looked at him curiously. I was about to ask about the folded paper he had just picked up but walked towards the stairs. Leaving me behind. He went upstairs. I wanted to ask him about it, but I chose to give him privacy.
