Avatar: The Myriad God

In the mystical continent of Altair, where one's talent determines their fate, discrimination runs rampant, especially among the noble elite. In this world, Arthur, born into a prestigious Noble family, is burdened with the stigma of his seemingly worthless talent known as the Avatar. Unlike the revered talents of his peers, Arthur's Avatar ability is mocked and dismissed by society. Despite facing ridicule and prejudice, Arthur embarks on a journey to prove that his talent holds hidden power and significance. Along the way, he encounters allies and adversaries, each with their own unique talents and motivations. Through perseverance and determination, Arthur uncovers the true potential of his Avatar ability, discovering its profound connection to the fate of Altair itself. As Arthur delves deeper into the mysteries of his talent, he confronts the systemic injustices of his society and challenges the rigid hierarchy that dictates one's worth based on talent alone. With courage and resilience, Arthur rises above the constraints of his birthright, forging his own destiny and reshaping the future of Altair. *** Hello there. Chapter 13:

"Failed right?"

At the place where the interview is held the glasses teacher said to the other three.

"Yes."

"Agree."

"Wait a minute.!"

All three teachers simultaneously looked at the woman who said to wait a minute.

"Why? You saw it too. Low level, low stats, and low sword technique. Oh, and a trash talent. What else can we wait for?"

The woman then pointed at the sword that Arthur had used previously, and the sword started to fly on its own towards her. She carefully held the sword as she looked at it again.

"Here take a look and be careful with it."

The woman then pass the sword to the other teacher to look at.

"How is it possible! Is it mana? No- it doesn't look like it made from mana alone. Then what the hell."

After all the teacher finish looking at the sword, the woman then held the sword again.

"Is it just coincidence? You know that the sword has been used by other people too."

"No, it's not. I can definitely say that this sword is still good before this although not as good as the new one. But, it can still be used for at least one more year before it break."

The woman then used her finger to poke the sword slightly. Magically, the sword broke as if it had been used for countless years.

"Then how?"

"Uhmm.. it's quite hard to describe it. Let's just say that the technique the boy used has reached a pinnacle or even touched the essence of sword technique, which is almost impossible without extensive training."

"Then-"

"But what if the boy just did it? What if the boy has been training the same swing for years without even thinking of raising his level? What if the boy only recently started using his talent?"

All the teacher silent when they heard the woman saying.

"Then it makes sense."

"But still, that alone is not enough to pass."

"Is that not enough? Then what is enough? Level? Talent? Stats? You might not know this, but for someone to reach this state, level, talent, and stats alone won't suffice. And let me tell you one more thing. It took me more than a decade to reach—no, to even touch upon—the same state as this boy. If this boy named Arthur can't pass, then at least 90% of the candidates can't pass either."

Once again, all the teachers fell silent after hearing the woman say that. They knew she was famous in the Academy as the one who taught the Emperor his sword art. That alone was enough to make her one of the best teachers in the Academy.

"Sighh… It's just his talent-"

"F#ck his talent! I'll teach him myself even if he doesn't enter the Academy."

"All right, we let him pass. But, we still need to monitor him later on."

"Whatever. It is good enough that one candidate can catch my eyes here."

The other three teachers could only sigh when they saw all of this. They really couldn't oppose this woman. Who knows what would happen to them if they insisted on rejecting the boy?

That's how Arthur without knowing that he pass the interview.

***

This is the time when Arthur head into the interview.

Irene was quite curious about why Allesia was trying to talk to a man. Besides her family problem, where they doted on her excessively, Allesia herself rarely talked to men.

Yes, Irene had heard Allesia complain about how her family was too overprotective. Whenever she talked to a man, her family would start thoroughly investigating his background. Even so, Irene still rarely saw Allesia talk to any man other than her family.

"Hey, Allesia, why did you interested in Arthur by the way?"

Irene called Arthur by his name as he isn't here anyway.

"Uhm… Because he's pretty?"

Irene shocked about what she heard

"Sorry? Pretty? What do you mean?"

"Ah! I-It's not the way you thinking!"

"What was? Hmm.. Now I'm even more curious."

Irene became even more confused. But when she saw Allesia looking a little flustered, she couldn't help but want to tease her a little bit.

"IT'S REALLY NOT!"

Allesia's face getting even more red when she heard Irene. Then she saw Irene face.

"Y-Y-You! Hmph! I won't tell you then!"

Allesia realized that Irene was only teasing her and pretend to be angry as she pouted her cheek.

"I'm sorry ok. I know that I'm wrong."

Irene decided to apologized as she's really curious about this.

"Okay, as long as you understand! You know my talent is a support one, right? It allows me to see something called Spirits, and when I see Arthur, all I can say is that it's pretty."

Irene tilted her head, as if still not getting what Allesia was talking about. She knew that Allesia's talent had something to do with her eyes, but she didn't know the details about it. Moreover, Allesia's words were too simple for her to understand what she meant.

Seeing that Irene was still confused, Allesia tried to explain it again.

"For example, you remember about the Seventh Prince that came out before right?"

"Yes. What about it?"

Irene, of course, still remembered it as it wasn't that long ago, and the Seventh Prince made quite a scene back then.

"When I saw him, I saw red light dots or tiny red light spheres flying around him. It's the same when I see you; I see a few tiny blue light spheres around your body"

Allesia looks at Irene face and saw that it seems that Irene is start to get it. Allesia then continue.

"But when I saw Arthur, it was different. I saw hundreds, or even more, of those light spheres, and they also had a lot of colors on them, which makes it pretty. Hmm... you can say that it's like a night full of stars that has a different color for each star."

"Ah! That is indeed pretty. But, if it's really like what you said, then isn't Arthur like really strong?"

When Irene finally understand why Allesia said that Arthur was pretty, another question pop out.

"Yeah, I also wondering about that. I can't feel that Arthur was that strong compared to the Seventh Prince."

Seeing that both of them can't found the reason, then they decided to forget about it and maybe asked Arthur directly later.

After that Allesia and Irene talks about other things while they wait for their number to be called.

It doesn't take too long they saw Arthur come out with a tired expression on his face. Both Allesia and Irene surprised when they see that.

***

Arthur emerged from the interview room with a tired expression. Well, it wasn't just an expression; he was genuinely tired, although he didn't know why he felt so exhausted. He felt like he hadn't done much to warrant feeling that tired.

Spotting Allesia and Irene standing there, waiting for him, he also saw Allesia waving her hands. He smiled towards them.

"How is it Arthur?"

Allesia asked Arthur with a curious face.

"Well, it's not that good. I can only hope that I can pass."

Atrhur relied as he shaking his head.

"I'm sorry, but I think I need to go back first. I'm not feeling that good now."

"Ah! Are you ok?"

Allesia seemed worried upon seeing that Arthur's complexion was really bad.

"I'm fine, I'm just too tired I think."

Arthur doesn't wait for Allesia speaking as he continue.

"Miss Blair, Miss Heartfilia, I'm going to leave first. I'm sorry I can't wait to see you two."

Arthur then gave the two girls a bow before leaving abruptly, without waiting for their reply.

Feeling extremely tired and eager to rest, Arthur didn't want to wait any longer. He just wanted to go to bed right away.

Allesia and Irene looked at each other, sensing that Arthur's complexion was really bad. Allesia even thought that Arthur might collapse at any moment. Both of them didn't say anything, or rather, they couldn't say anything, as Arthur had already left before they could respond.

"Irene, do you thing that Arthur will be all right?"

"Maybe? He did say that he was only tired and he will be ok after some rest."

"I hope so."

Allesia and Irene continued to wait for their turn, while Arthur did his best not to collapse before reaching the inn.

Upon arriving at the Light Boar Inn, Arthur didn't even speak to the owner as he walked straight towards his room. The owner, a lady, was surprised to see Arthur, who was usually polite or at least greeted her on ordinary days, walking past her without saying anything. She noticed his pale face and thought that something might have happened to him.

Just as she was about to walk towards Arthur's room, she hesitated. She didn't want to bother him in case he wanted to be alone. She knew that the exam or interview was still ongoing, as her husband hadn't come back home yet.

In the end, she held back and decided not to bother Arthur for a while after thinking for a few moments.

Arthur himself fainted on the bed as soon as he entered his room. Somehow, he managed to make it inside and close the door. He didn't even bother to lock it. He was too tired to think.

If Arthur were still awake, maybe he would say that.
