6th April
Autumn sat by the lake, it was her second day out here. Her mother had tried several times to talk to her about what had happened, but she had chosen not to share
it.
Maybe Connor wasn't the type of friend age needed after all. When she looked up at the sun his silhouette came into view and the sun made his hair look like it was a beech blonde colour. "Con."
"May I?"
"It's a free country "
He smiled and sat next to her. She looked questionably at him. "I'm sorry, babe."
"What for?"
"Being a complete dick and acting the way I did."
"So. Why did you?".
"I guess I was a little jealous because you're extremely talented and I'm, well not."
"There has to be something that you're good at."
"My BMX and track bike."
"See, we're all good at different things. Con. I worked hard to get to what you saw the other day and you went and crushed it right in front of my face. Maybe I should be glad it wasn't behind my back!"
