Author : Mortals against gods

Have you ever questioned your existence? maybe we are just characters in a story or frankly just a spark between worlds of fiction. Daniel questioned himself constantly on the truth behind creation, ever since the uncanny scar had been imprinted on his life. Revenge wasn't an option, because the perpetrator behind all of it was far greater than anyone. He was the Author, and Daniel was simply a character within his story. A simple life was all he wanted, but reality had a different path for him. His world would later collide with another, bringing forth an apocalypse filled with suffering. His question had reached an abrupt end, and his morale filled with dents of revenge. He only thought of one thing, and I suppose I would serve it as a question. What if you had to go against the plot? What if you had to battle the creator of your world for peace?. There are many more to it, but I promise. This story answers it all.

Desperation

Angels, distinct beings who wield the shards of purity, were made to keep watch over creation. Their motive was not control, but maintaining the order of life.

In due course, each angel was set from the doors of the unknown realms, which humans call heaven to correct the absurdities which prevented a stable movement of the order.

Camael was an archangel of war, seamlessly led to battle monsters that broke past the rational boundaries of reality. He had destroyed many, and with it came honor and authority.

The one whose name is never mentioned had approached the legion with a task that would occur in time. A breach of the physical realm of humans would offset their overflowing purity, breaking their memories in the end.

As the leader, he volunteered to step in for his fellow angels. His love for them was increasingly great, and a resolve to protect was always his table of work.

Knowing these trials and effects, he descended upon the earth in his natural form and fell like those of the old age. He lost his memories, but his will still stood strong and it was observed in each action he took.

Like a falling star, he breached the surface of the place we call home and began his journey to fulfillment. After enduring pain and being used as a weapon for the desires aligned with humans, he finally saw the light.

The mission he had been sent to conclude, had finally begun and he burned with excitement. The target stood before his eyes, tattered with wounds and weary from battle.

It was the best moment to strike, and victory seemed true within the current sight. Pushing himself further onto the target, he positioned his sword to strike.

And that he did with full force. The blessings of the light followed him, and the strength of the angels lay within the sword. With a heavy slash, he struck Loki with overflowing power.

Boom!!!!

The impact had caused a large crater, however, his opponent stood with a GRIN. Loki held the sword tightly with his bare hands, and the scorching heat burned his palm heavily.

"You must be another dog sent to feed on the scraps!", Loki groaned in pain.

"I care not for a conversation with one who deserves no mercy!", Camael answered.

The duo drew back to reaffirm their stances. Walking slowly in a circular form, they kept their eyes locked on each other's moves. Loki was still bleeding from his previous battle, yet his resolve stood high.

Looking firmly at Loki, Camael drew his sword against his chest to strike with power once more. The heat from his sword scorched the beach, and Loki began sweating from the intense pressure.

Without any focus on words, Camael sped toward his opponent and swiftly glided the blade toward the head of Loki. Battling it away with the force of the wind, Loki smashed a punch through his jaw.

Camael stood once more to fight and dragged the sword to Loki's midsection. It grazed him slightly before he could leap out of its reach. The fallen angel was emotionless within the battle, and his sword continued pestering the wind god.

Loki struggled with the angel, for he was no simple opponent. It strikes of his blade were menacing and dangerous, with only one purpose. That purpose was to cleave his life, and knowing this Loki fought with everything he had.

The barrage of blows and strikes grew intense. Camael began bleeding from the strikes of Loki, but his actions continued in strength. Each strike was destined with a sense of death, a yearning to capture the life of his opponent.

Sparks from the clash was all there was to see from the unbridled battle. Both of them screamed with the will to live, a desperate attempt to survive.

Knowing the claws of death were at their necks, they both aimed for complete eradication. Loki fainted a jab, tricking Camael into blocking, and struck an upward kick which threw him into the air.

He was desperate to live. Not for his sake, but for all the lives he took. His desperation was for everyone who yearned for change. The dead should be satisfied if he accomplished the feat, he believed so heavily.

What use was their death if he didn't survive to the end, he thought endlessly. Grabbing the ropes of the wind, he drove Camael down crashing into the nearby houses.

In a swift attempt to rise, Camael saw another direct punch before his eyes. The enemy he was to deal with was not so simple, but a god unrivalled in talent.

Although his mental strength had grown weary from overusing Nova, Loki held firmly onto his consciousness. He believed his cause was true and desired to see it to the end.

A legendary battle, the two fought. The land was filled with scorching fire and terrifying winds. Each aimed at destruction with no survival.

Boom!!!!

Camael struck another slash of overwhelming power at Loki, and with his bare hands, he forced the wind to break its heat. The wind poured against the slash, and in reducing the effect, Loki was met with yet another punch.

In an attempt to rise once more, he pulled his upper body back up. However, Camael quickly struck his chest with a kick and thrust the sword in the direction of Loki's heart.

Ughhh!!!!

Catching the blade in time, Loki held back the sword from ending his life. The burning muscles of Camael forcefully pressed the sword deeper, but Loki's determination was unwavering.

"I need to bring humans into the new world!!!", Loki screamed.

"So you would kill countless lives for that caused?? You disgust me!!", Camael burned with fury.

"Their deaths should have meaning!!!", Loki replied in determination.

Kicking the feet of Camael, he threw the angel off balance, thrusting the blazing sword into the ground. A strong punch followed afterwards, and a kick to redeem himself.

However, Camel struck him away with the blunt edge of the sword, throwing him a few meters away. The duo looked at each other steadily, as it seemed the fight had drawn near to closure.

"Their lives will be meaningful, and my fulfillment of the task would bring true satisfaction", Loki affirmed.

"For all the lives you took, may they rest in perfect peace. For their souls would find peace in the afterlife, and your life will be taken as a token", Camael spoke with vigor.

Drawing the sword to his chest, Camael's sword burned higher and higher. The skies crackled with thunder, and the dark clouds filled the island. Loki stood in a last attempt for redemption.

He drew his arm sideways, which brought forth a sword made from the pressurized wind. Both men looked strictly with eyes of desperation, and only a split second separated them.

"May your soul, satisfy the drenching pain of the dead!!!"

Slash!!!!!!

The overwhelming power approached Loki as he stood alone. His eyes were filled with tears, but his determination and will was forever the greatest among all.

With steady faith, he ran towards the burning power which sped against him and struck his pressurized sword with all his strength. His resolve burned brighter, and his gaze was filled with purpose.

"I will redeem them myself!!!"

Boom!!!!
