Chapter 7: YG Corp invitation

After the weird encounter with the strange girl, Lucius decided to stroll around the mall for a bit as he has a lot of free time.

First, he decided to stop by a fast-food restaurant that was identical to 'Jollibee' which was the number one fast-food chain in the Philippines.

But instead of a bee, the restaurant's mascot was an Ant but Lucius honestly didn't pay attention to such small details as he delightfully satisfied his hunger.

After eating, Lucius stop by a few more stores inside the mall to solidified his hunch which he later proved right!

As soon as he left the School Supplies store, he sense someone was stalking him so he decided to goes to visit some random places.

No matter where he goes, he always saw that man no matter how much he tries to blend with the crowd.

As soon as Lucius passes through the exit door of the mall, he immediately sprints in a random direction, hoping to lose his stalker.

The man who was observing our mc immediately reacted as he runs after him while simultaneously taking out a walkie-talkie in his jacket.

"The target is running! I repeat! the target is running!" He calmly said while running after Lucius.

The distance between the two was slowly increasing as Lucius, who was using his parkouring skills and Inhuman Temporal Perception to his limits easily dodges obstacles and people on his way.

But also because of that, he quickly got tired as the Inhuman Temporal Perception took quite a toll to utilize.

Just as he was about to lose the man who was chasing him, 3 black vans suddenly appears which he suspect were also there to catch him.

And his guess was right as one of the cars outspeed him and block the road leaving him with no chance but to change direction and run toward the alley instead.

The alley was small so vans won't fit in but it seems that Lucius had bad luck today as the alley was a dead-end meaning he was trapped.

He thought of going back but that was a no-no as his pursuer was already blocking the way.

Lucius was tense as he held his arms up and took a boxing stance.

Even though the men were unharmed, he didn't dare to announce that he could win against all of them especially when he saw the body of those who were standing in the back.

Their body was on par with that of a professional bodybuilder and Lucius was sure even a single punch would knock the shit out of him.

With that circumstances, Lucius had no choice but to be tense and prepare for the worse.

"No need to be tense sir, we're not here to fight." A man step forward and calmly said

Lucius recognize him as the one who had been stalking him inside the mall.

The man who has relatively handsome with a mature sharp face and a glass which strengthens the 'professionalism' aura emitting from him.

"Who are you guys." Lucius coldly asked

he didn't listen to the man as he was still a bit tense but not as much as before but his guard was still up, ready for whatever the outcome would become.

"You could call me Lance, I am a secretary of the current CEO of YG Corp, Sam Trinidad, and this was people behind me were YG Corp Private bodyguards." The man named Lance introduced himself and the people behind him.

Lucius' eyes enlarge hearing the term, YG Corp, as an ideas form in his head.

'Are they looking for me because I used 'that' code?'

To his question, Lucius wasn't entirely sure and was just guessing but for him, this was the most believable reason he could think of.

"What do you want from me?" Lucius cautiously asked as his hands turn into fists and were ready to bust some asses.

"To that question, only the president could answer that." Lance mysteriously stated as he intentionally slow down his pronunciation.

Lucius immediately understood what Lance meant.

He was inviting him to meet their president!

Lucius wasn't sure why the CEO of such a multi-trillionaire company would want to meet an ordinary person like him.

His mind works at their two hundred percent capacity as he thought of every reason why would the YG Corp CEO would want to meet him but each of them was bad for him.

The first and most common-sense reason Lucius thought was that the CEO would recruit him because he was a Gift Code user player which Lucius thought seemed plausible.

The only downside of this is that YG Corp shouldn't have the ability to recruit players due to the contract they sign with 'those' people.

Nonetheless, no matter what Lucius was thinking, Lance was certain to bring Lucius to his boss.

"What do you think Mr. Lucius?" Lance politely asks as he even uses a 'Mr.' to address Lucius.

"It's not like I have a choice, right?" Lucius helplessly stated as Lance just mischievously smile.

Lucius was right as even if he refuse, Lance would just bring him using force.

"This way sir." Lance politely said as he bow and guided Lucius to a luxurious white limousine with golds imbed to it.

To Lance's attics, Lucius would rather believe he was a butler instead of a secretary.

Nonetheless, Lucius helplessly entered the limousine as Lance sit in front and 4 more bodyguards sat beside us.

A limousine could carry about 8 to 18 passengers depending on their size so the inside of the limousine Lucius was riding was still quite wide enough for him to lie down but he was so tense the thought of laying down didn't even enter his mind.

Whether Lucius was comfortable or not, the limousine started running as they were surrounded by the 3 vans to prevent any accident.

Fortunately, nothing happens as they safely arrived at the YG Corp main building where the CEO was waiting.

Standing in front of the majestic building, Lucius couldn't help but get nervous but he collects all of the confidence he has and entered the building.

Calling the building huge was an understatement, Lucius was completely awed as he couldn't even see the very top of the building because it was covered with clouds.

The design of the building was also advanced which gives a sci-fi vibe to it which Lucius believed to be the reason why the building was still standing at its height

On their way, Lucius notice people talking murmuring about him which wasn't odd since he was surrounded by dozens of bodyguards.

Some even recognize Lance as they respectfully greet him and he also greets back.

After all of that was done, they head on their way to the elevator which was surprisingly large enough to fit them all in.

Lance who acts as a guide, clicked a button that was separated from the others as the elevator started ascending.

How could Lucius know that the elevator was ascending you might ask?

Because the elevator was made out of transparent glass!

As Lucius' eyes were shining in awe, the elevator continue ascending at a moderate speed, and in just a few minutes, they had finally pass-through the clouds, and a few more minutes they had finally arrived at their destination.

*Ding!*

The elevator rang as the door opened.

From the elevator, a hallway could be seen connecting a single room which Lucius guessed was the CEO's office.

The first to exit the elevator is the bodyguards as they all form a two-line, one on the right, and one on the left.

After the bodyguards were done in their formation, Lance lead the way with Lucius following him from behind.

The two stop at the door as Lance gently knocks on the door since there are no doorbells or any technology for this type of situation installed in the place.

"Boss, this is Lance, I have brought the person you entrusted me to." Lance spoke with a gentle and respectful tone.

This was completely different from his tone when talking to Lucius where he was just being polite but to his boss, he was one hundred percent loyal.

"Come in." A manly voice preferably coming from a man who was in his 50s or 60s said.
