"Well, well, I see you're quite happy with yourself for answering a few questions," he said as he grabbed my English textbook, slipping through the pages. "Am here to wipe off that triumphant look you had earlier." Saying those words, he then tore my text book into two equal halves. I gasped. What has he done? He threw the textbook at me. "Now, that's the kind of expression I like to see." ____________________ Instagram @m1llie_official Facebook @Author Mildred

REX'S HOUSE II

Once we were done with the dishes, Rex took me on a tour around his house. I must say, it was much bigger than I thought. The tour led us to the beautiful garden, which was our final stop. The golden swing in the garden immediately caught my attention, and I pleaded with Rex to give me a push if I got on. He agreed, adding to the fun I was already having.

"Please don't let my mum know I am here," I blurted out.

He took a moment before replying, "Okay. So, what danger do you think your mom wants to protect Isabel and you from?" he asked gently as he pushed me on the swing.

"I don't know. She is refusing to say anything. I'm sure that besides the black sedan, there must be something else," I said thoughtfully.

"Hmm," Rex mused.

Just then, his phone rang, and he excused himself to answer it.

"Hey Jude, what's up?" He greeted.

As Jude replied, I noticed Rex tensing up at whatever was being said on the other end.
