Flamed Up!

The episode starts with the gang walking on a path, heading to Celadon City as James is looking at the map.

"James, how far are we from Celadon City?" Jessie asked.

James tries to read the map he has in his hands. "Uh…"

"We better be near the city. I don't know how much walking I can take." Domino complained.

"I can't read this map with my shades on…" James takes off his sunglasses. He reads the map and it looks like they're not far from the city. "We're not that far away from the city!"

Meowth perks up. "The best news so far today."

"Hell yeah! Let's go!" Jessie was about to sprint off to get to Celadon City, but she spotted a Pokémon which caught her eye.

It's a horse Pokémon that has cream colored fur, brown eyes and triangular ears with reddish interiors. The Yellow and reddish-orange flames also make up the Pokémon's mane and tail. The Pokémon is shaking a lot and looking extremely scared while leaning on a tree. Jessie immediately stops sprinting to the city as the rest of the gang catches up with her.

Meowth raises his eye at the Pokémon. "What's that?"

"Oh, it's an adorable Ponyta!" Domino confirmed.

"Ponyta?" Jessie says in confusion.

The title screen shows.

"Flamed Up!"

Jessie pulls out her Pokédex from her purse to identify the Pokémon.

"Ponyta, the Fire Horse Pokémon. Its hooves are 10 times harder than diamonds. It can trample anything completely flat in little time."

"Wow, impressive!" James says.

Domino notices something about the wild Ponyta. "Something's wrong with it."

Jessie looks at Domino. "What do you mean?"

Domino points at Ponyta's shaking body. "The Ponyta looks scared."

"Neigh…" Ponyta cried out. It did sound like a scared cry.

"I wonder what's wrong with it?" Jessie asked.

Meowth rolls his eyes. "They're a wimp, I tell ya."

The Ponyta now looks sad after Meowth's insult.

Jessie shoots an angry glare at Meowth. "Don't make me duct tape your mouth."

"NO DON'T! I'M SORRY!" Meowth shouted.

"That's what I thought…" Jessie replied.

"Maybe we should just leave it alone?" James suggested.

"Now why would we abandon a Pokémon that looks scared?" Domino questioned.

Jessie looks at the Ponyta. "Hey little buddy. What's wrong?" She tries to pet the scared Pokémon, but her hand gets burnt by Ponyta's flames. Jessie screams in pain as she quickly sends out Squirtle.

"Squirtle!" Squirtle uses Water Gun to put the flame out on its trainer's hand.

"I TOLD YOU YOU TO LEAVE IT ALONE, JESSIE!" James shouted.

The Ponyta is shaken by the screams of Jessie and James as it runs off.

"Hey, come back!" Jessie starts running towards the direction where the Ponyta went.

The gang all groan seeing Jessie sprint off.

Domino frowns. "There she goes again, sprinting off once more."

"Why does she have to be such a pain in the ass?" Meowth complained.

James sighs. Let's go follow her…"

"Squirtle…"

The gang, including Squirtle, all run off to follow Jessie.

It cuts to Jessie running in the forest, trying to look for the Ponyta from earlier. "Ponyta? I just wanna talk!"

Squirtle and the gang all catch up with Jessie from behind.

"Jessie, what are you doing?!" Domino questioned in disbelief.

"Just leave the poor Pontya alone!" James demanded.

Jessie immediately shakes her head no. "No! That Ponyta is scared and I want to find out the reason, so I can help!" She pulls out an empty Poké Ball from her purse. "Pidgeotto, I choose you!" Jessie sends out Pidgeotto.

"Pidgeotto!"

"Pidgeotto, I want you to fly above this forest and look to see if you can find Ponyta and report back to us!" Jessie commanded.

Pidgeotto nods in response and flies off to find Ponyta.

Meowth yawns. "I'm just gonna take a nap instead of wasting my time." He curls up on the ground and shuts his eyes.

Squirtle looks at Meowth and glares. "Squirtle!"

("Oh no you don't!")

The Pokémon shoots water from its mouth at Meowth.

Meowth immediately wakes up. "AH!"

It cuts to another part of the forest where the Ponyta is. It's still running. All of the sudden, five more Pokémon, but they all have red eyes and have a long horn atop its head, that is similar to a unicorn, and much taller, stops Ponyta dead in its tracks.

Ponyta looks even more scared. "Neigh!"

("Oh no!")

Four of these same Pokémon all look at one particular one as it's acting like the leader of the group. It walks up to Ponyta.

The unicorn-like Pokémon is circling around Ponyta. "Neigh, Neigh!"

(Well, look what we found!")

Meanwhile, it cuts to Pidgeotto flying above and witnessing this. It quickly flies off to inform Jessie and her friends.

It cuts back to back to part of the forest where Jessie and her friends are currently at. Jessie is waiting for Pidgeotto to return, Domino is filing her nails, James is chewing gum, Squirtle is standing with its trainer and Meowth is scratching a nearby tree with its claws.

Pidgeotto flies towards them and now above them in the air. "Pidgeotto!"

Jessie looks up. "Pidgeotto! Did you find Ponyta?"

The Pokémon points in the direction with its feather where they saw Ponyta.

Jessie turns back to her friends. "Come on guys, let's go!" She starts heading to the direction where Pidgeotto pointed.

"Will do!" James follows her.

Squirtle and Pidgeotto also follow their trainer.

Domini sighs. "We could've probably been at Celadon right now…"

"Tell me about it." Meowth agreed.

Domino and Meowth also follow Jessie. It cuts to where Ponyta is, still surrounded by the unicorn-like Pokémon.

Ponyta starts slowly moving back. "Neigh!"

("Don't hurt me!")

The leader of these unicorn-like Pokémon said. "Neigh!"

("This is for your own good!")

The five Pokémon are about to use a move on the Ponyta.

"SQUIRTLE, WATER GUN!"

The five Pokémon look on to see water heading towards them. They all dodge it by quickly moving out of the way.

Jessie and Squirtle quickly stand in front of Ponyta to protect it.

"Now just what you all are doing?!" Jessie asked.

James, Domino, and Meowth soon arrive behind.

Domino groans. "Here we go again. She's gonna get herself hurt once more."

"Not surprised." Meowth says.

"Jessie, those Rapidash look angry!" James yelled.

"Rapidash?" Jessie looks at the five Rapidash that she commanded Squirtle to use Water Gun on. She pulls out her Pokédex to identify them.

"Rapidash, the Fire Horse Pokémon. Evolved form from Ponyta. Very competitive, this Pokémon will chase anything that moves fast in the hopes of racing it."

"Neigh, Neigh!" The leader of the Rapidash said.

("Move out of the way kid, you're not part of this!")

"Rapidash wants you to move out of the way, Jessie. You should!" Meowth translated.

Jessie shakes her head no and continues to stand still. "No, I won't! Why are you bullying this Ponyta!"

"Neigh, Neigh. Neigh, Neigh!"

("That's none of your business, kid. I told you to get out of the way, finale warning!")

"Jessie, you better get out of the way, this is their final warning!" Meowth translated once more.

Jessie shakes her head once more and continues standing in front of the Ponyta. "No way! I'm not letting the five of you hurt this Ponyta!"

The Ponyta slowly opens its eyes to see Jessie standing up to the Rapidash and protecting them.

"Neigh!"

("So be it then!")

The Rapidash start getting ready to use a fire-type move on Jessie, Squirtle, and Ponyta.

"JESSIE!" The gang screamed out.

"Squirtle, use Water Gun!" Jessie immediately commanded.

Squirtle shoots water out of its mouth right at the five Rapidash as they start yelling in pain.

"Neigh!"

("Retreat!")

The five Rapidash start running away. The leader of the Rapidash looks back to say one final message before fully retreating. "Neigh!"

("We will be back!")

"The leader said that they and the rest of the crew will be back." Meowth translated.

James gulps. "I got a bad feeling from this…"

"I don't want to be burnt alive, thank you very much." Domino says.

Jessie turns around with her attention fully at the scared Ponyta. "Hey there. Are you okay?"

The Ponyta slowly starts opening its eyes to look at Jessie and nods.

Jessie starts petting Ponyta, until she notices something. "Wait, why aren't Ponyta's flames burning me this time?"

"Well, it seems Ponyta has full trust in you now." Domino answered.

"Trust?" Jessie questioned.

James nods. "Ponyta's flames don't burn anyone if the Pokémon has trust in a trainer. I guess they changed sides rather quickly."

"Well, it's probably because Ponyta saw how much Jessie protected it from those Rapidash." Domino says.

Ponyta looks at Jessie. "Neigh."

("Thank you for protecting me."

"It's thanking you for protecting them." Meowth translated.

"No problem, but why are those Rapidash being such jerks to you?" Jessie asked.

"Neigh, Neigh."

("Actually they're not enemies of mine, they're actually my friends.")

"No way!" Meowth yelled out in disbelief.

The gang looks at Meowth in confusion.

"What? What did Ponyta say?" James asked, curious.

"Apparently those Rapidash are actually not enemies of Ponyta, but they're actually their friends!" Meowth confirmed.

"WHAT?!" Jessie, James, and Domino all yelled out in disbelief.

"Wow, with friends like that, who needs enemies…?" James says.

Jessie turns to Ponyta. "Are they actually your friends?"

Ponyta nods. "Neigh. Neigh, neigh, neigh."

("We were all Ponyta back then. However, once they all got stronger and evolved into Rapidash and I wasn't, they started questioning why.")

"Once those Rapidash back there got stronger and evolved from Ponyta, they all started questioning why this one wasn't evolving." Meowth translated. "Maybe you're just weak."

Ponyta looks down in sadness.

Jessie glares at Meowth. "I'm not kidding about the duct tape thing."

Meowth gulps and hides behind Domino.

"Hey!" Domino says.

"It looks like you're going to have to train this Ponyta, Jessie." James says.

"Yeah!" Jessie turns her attention back to Ponyta. "Don't worry Ponyta, I'm going to make you stronger!"

"Neigh… neigh, neigh. Neigh, neigh, neigh."

("No… the cat is right, I am weak. The Rapidash are just trying to toughen me up, so I can evolve, but I don't know if I can.")

"Ponyta believes that they are weak and that the Rapidash are just trying to train them so that they can evolve, but questioning if they really can." Meowth translated while still hiding behind Domino.

"Cheer up, Ponyta! Pokémon can still be strong, even without evolving!" Jessie turns her attention to Squirtle. "I know my Squirtle is really strong. Right Squirtle?"

Squirtle jumps up and down in excitement. "Squirtle!"

"My Pokémon are strong without evolutions too!" James says.

"Same with mine! My Clefairy once won a tournament without me using a Moon Stone to evolve it into a Clefable!" Domino adds in.

Meowth sharpens his claws. "I like to say I'm pretty strong and I don't even have to evolve into a dumb Persian!"

Ponyta looks up, feeling a little better. "Neigh!"

("Thank you all!")

"Don't mention it." Meowth says.

Jessie gets an idea. "Let's have a mini battle, just to show how strong you are! How's that sound!"

Ponyta jumps up and down in excitement. "Ponyta!"

It cuts to Team Rocket spying on the gang with binoculars from afar.

"They're really going to try to train that weak Ponyta?" Cassidy questions while confused.

Butch groans. "Here we go again with the dumb ideas that hurt my brain."

"You know them, just horsing around." Mondo chuckles.

Cassidy punches Mondo. "Never make a bad pun like that ever again."

Mondo fights back and clobbers Cassidy. "Enough with the horse play, it's not fun!"

Butch looks impressed. "Whoa… you got strong."

Cassidy slowly gets up. "Thanks Mondo, now I have a headache!"

"Shouldn't have messed with me then!" Mondo responded.

"Anyways, those five Rapidash will definitely make a great present for the boss!" Cassidy says.

Butch rolls his eyes. "They're just horses, but on fire. Nothing special."

"But they're STRONG horses on fire!" Cassidy countered. "Just what the boss needs!"

"Are you sure this is what the boss needs, Cass?" Mondo questioned.

"Being honest, I think the boss will be happy if we give him something. We haven't stolen a Pokémon for him for a few weeks. He might be becoming impatient." Cassidy says.

"You know we could have stolen that Machoke from the beach if we didn't screw up." Mondo glares at Butch. "Butch!"

Cassidy also glares at Butch. "Yeah, Butch!"

Butch punches Cassidy and Mondo, knocking them both out. "Why did I get stuck with these two idiots? Out of every damn Team Rocket trio in the world!"

It cuts back to the gang where Pidgeotto is now on the ground, about to battle Ponyta. James, Domino, Meowth and Squirtle are watching it.

"Pidgeotto, Gust, let's go!" Jessie commanded.

"Pidgeotto!" Pidgeotto flaps its wings at a high speed to create a miniature tornado or gusts of wind right at Ponyta. The Pokémon gets sent back from the move and hits a tree.

"Come on Ponyta, you gotta dodge!" Jessie tries to coach Ponyta. "Dodging is the key thing in Pokémon battles if you wanna win!"

Domino, James, Meowth, and Squirtle all are cheering for Ponyta to succeed.

Ponyta gets up and looks focused.

"Pidgeotto, Wing Attack! Alright Ponyta, focus on dodging!" Jessie says.

Pidgeotto is about to hit Ponyta with its wing. Ponyta tries to dodge it, but couldn't and gets hit once more.

"Okay…" Jessie starts to think. "We will work on dodging later, let's see how your moves will do! Come on, don't be scared, try a move."

"Neigh…" Ponyta launches itself at the opponent, tackling it with high speeds, looking like it used Take Down, however the move barely affected Pidgeotto.

"Pidgeotto?" The Pokémon cried in confusion.

"Come on Ponyta, you gotta use more power on that Take Down, do it!" James cheered.

"Yeah, Ponyta. We all know you're strong!" Domino adds in.

"Squirtle!" The Pokémon also cheered on.

Ponyta once more tackles Pidgeotto with high speeds from running, but with more power this time and it had more effect on Pidgeotto then last time, but just a little bit.

Jessie smiles. "There you go, you're getting there!"

Meowth rolls his eyes. "Lame, just a small difference from last time."

Ponyta starts to glare at Meowth with anger in its eyes. The Pokémon opens its mouth and shoots powerful spiraling fire right at Meowth as Domino, Squirtle and James immediately get out of the way as the spiraling fire burns Meowth.

"Ow…" Meowth coughs up smoke.

Jessie looks shocked and amazed by what she just witnessed from Ponyta. "Whoa…"

Once Ponyta calms down, the flames in its eyes disappear. It starts apologizing.

"Ponyta… that was a really impressive powerful fire-type move you just did there!" Jessie praised.

"I think that was Fire Spin! It was really impressive indeed! Go Ponyta!" James cheered.

"I think it was your anger doing the talking, Ponyta. You're not weak, Ponyta. It's just that most of your strength is built up inside with anger." Domino explained.

Ponyta looks at Domino in confusion. "Neigh?"

("Really?")

"Then I guess we gotta learn how to use that power without expressing anger!" Jessie declared while raising her fist up.

Meowth groans in pain from being burnt.

"I think we should head to a Pokémon Center first…" Domino says.

"No time!" James unstraps his backpack, zips it open and pulls out a green spray-type medicine.

"What's that?" Jessie asked, looking at the green spray medicine.

"It's Burn Heal! It heals burned Pokémon." James explained. "Alright Meowth, stay still."

"This gonna hurt-"

James sprays the Burn Heal all over Meowth's body, cutting the talking feline off as he screams in pain.

Meowth stops screaming after a few seconds have passed. "Hey! I feel much better now! Thanks, Jimmy!"

James gives Meowth a thumbs up in response and zips his backpack closed. "Don't mention it!"

"Okay, I guess that took care of it." Domino says.

Jessie switches her attention back to Ponyta. "Alright Ponyta, I want you to focus! Focus on your strength and learn to use it without anger! Alright Pidgeotto, Quick Attack!"

"Pidgeotto!" The Pokémon flies up to the sky really and starts diving down at a fast speed towards Ponyta. When diving, it's surrounded by a spiraling red-orange aura.

Ponyta closes its eyes in fear. The Pokémon begins to think until opening its eyes. "Neigh!" Ponyta tackles Pidgeotto with high speed, sending the Pokémon to a tree.

Domino, James, Meowth, and Squirtle all cheer and clap.

Jessie immediately checks on her Pokémon. "Pidgeotto, are you okay?"

Pidgeotto gets back up and nods at its trainer in response. "Pidgeotto!"

After Jessie knows her Pokémon was okay, she turns her attention to Ponyta. "That was great, Ponyta!" She claps for the Pokémon to show signs of approval.

"Neigh!" The Pokémon hops up and down in excitement.

"Are you ready for those Rapidash now?" Jessie asked.

"Neigh!" Ponyta nods in response.

"Go show 'em!" James says.

It skips to an hour with the five Rapidash arriving back.

The leader of the pack of Rapidash steps up. "Neigh!"

("We're back to toughen up Ponyta!")

"I already toughened up Ponyta, I trained it to be stronger and I did it in a much better way!" Jessie says with a confident smirk. She looks at Ponyta and sees that the Pokémon is still a little scared. Jessie sighs. "Ponyta…"

"Neigh… Neigh, ne-

("Fool… Alright guys, time to-")

All of a sudden a large net swoops in and grabs the five Rapidash, cutting the leader off mid-sentence.

"WHAT THE?!" The gang all said together in shock. They look up and see a familiar hot air balloon with a familiar trio inside of it, laughing from above.

"Prepare for trouble!" Cassidy declared.

"And make it double!" Butch added in.

"To infect the world with devastation!"

"To blight all people in every nation!"

"To denounce the goodness of truth and love!"

"To extend our wrath to the stars above!"

"Cassidy!"

"And Butch, of course!"

"We're Team Rocket, circling Earth all day and night!"

"Surrender to us now or you will surely lose the fight!"

"I'm Mondo alright!"

"TEAM ROCKET!" The gang all yelled out.

"Not you three again!" Jessie says in disbelief.

Domino sighs in annoyance. "Here we go again…"

"What? We're dealing with the Rapidash problem for you, twerps! You should be thanking us right now!" Cassidy explained with a grin.

"When you three are gonna leave us alone?!" James asked.

"Never, twerp!" Butch laughs.

"You have to give up eventually, you losers!" James says.

"WE ARE NOT LOSERS!" Butch responded by yelling.

"Besides, you let us go, Rapidash won't bug your little Ponyta friend anymore! It's a win-win for both of us!" Mondo says.

Jessie clutches her fist in anger. "But the Rapidash you have are actually Ponyta's friends!"

"Friends are disgusting anyway!" Butch says.

"Bye-bye!" Team Rocket says as their hot balloon ascends higher and higher.

"Don't just stand there and chat with them, do something already, Jessie!" Meowth says.

"Pidgeotto, fly up there and poke a hole in that hot air balloon!" Jessie commanded.

"Pidgeotto!" The Pokémon flies through Team Rocket's balloon, creating a huge hole, causing the hot air balloon to descend to the ground now.

Cassidy has an annoyed expression on her face. "I really hate that bird…"

The five Rapidash immediately free themselves from the net by cutting it with their horns on their foreheads. All Rapidash starts glaring at Team Rocket. The Team Rocket trio all pull out a Poké Ball.

"This means war!" Cassidy declared. "Rattata, go!"

"Get them, Mankey!"

"Cubone, I choose you!"

Team Rocket all sent out their Pokémon. "Rattata!" "Mankey!" "Cubone!"

Jessie looks at her friends. "Ready, guys?"

James and Domino both nod in response. The gang all take out a Poké Ball.

"Nidoran, I choose you!"

"You got this, Clefairy!"

"You can take care of them too, Charmander!"

The gang all sent Pokémon out as well to do battle with Team Rocket. "Nidoran!" "Clefairy!" "Char!"

"Rattata, use Super Fang on that Nidoran!" Cassidy commanded.

Rattata dashes at Nidoran, looking to hit Nidoran with its teeth.

"Nidoran, Double Kick Rattata in the teeth!" Jessie quickly commanded.

Nidoran jumps in the air to dodge the Super Fang and then the Pokémon kicks Rattata in the teeth as it comes down. Breaking its teeth and then it hits Cassidy, because it got flung back towards her from the move.

"Mankey, Karate Chop right at Charmander!" Butch commanded.

Mankey runs towards Charmander, getting ready to strike it by the side of its hand.

"Slash, Charmander!" James countered back.

fingers on each of Charmander's claws shine. Both Charmander and Mankey moves collide with one another.

"Quick, grab Charmander and use Seismic Toss!"

Mankey grabs Charmander's tail and jumps up, however the flame on Charmander's tail burns the Pokémon as it lets go. "Mankey!" Mankey starts running around and crying in pain as its hands are on fire.

Charmander lands on the ground on its two feet from being let go, safely.

Butch stomps his foot in frustration. "Come on Mankey, stop screaming and go fight!"

Mondo groans. "Guess I have to take care of business. Cubone, Bonemerang on Clefairy!"

Cubone throws its bone at Clefairy.

"Dodge it, Clefairy!" Domino commanded.

Clefairy ducks and dodges the Bonemerang.

"Now use Metronome!"

Clefairy starts moving their fingers back and forth and repeating their name. "Clefairy. Clefairy. Clefairy." The Pokémon blasted by a huge volume of water launched under great pressure right at Cubone.

Cubone's eyes widened. "Cubone!" The Pokémon gets hit and flung back to Mondo.

"That's it, I had enough of this!" Cassidy says in frustration.

"ATTACK THEM!" Team Rocket commanded their Pokémon.

Rattata, Mankey, and Cubone all start dashing towards the gang's Pokémon. However, all five Rapidash tackles Team Rocket with high speeds, saving the gang just in time. Rattata. Mankey, Cubone all get sent flying back to Team Rocket and the move, from all five Rapidash, completely knocks their Pokémon out.

"This is bad…" Cassidy starts sweating.

"Thanks for the info, Captain obvious!" Butch says, frustrated.

Mondo gulps. "I feel like another fail is gonna be on our record…"

Jessie is seen grinning at Team Rocket and crossing her arms with Ponyta by her side. The Team Rocket trio start hugging each other in fear.

"Ponyta, Fire Spin at them!" Jessie commanded

Ponyta and also the Rapidash, all open their mouths and shoot powerful spiraling fire right at Team Rocket, creating a one fire twister, sending Team Rocket blasting off while burnt.

"WE'RE BLASTING OFF AGAIN!" Ding!

The gang, Ponyta and the Rapidash all celebrate blasting Team Rocket off once more. Jessie, James, and Domino all recall their Pokémon, that faced off with Team Rocket, back to their Poké Ball.

"Another quick and easy win for us!" James says.

"I hope they have Burn Heal!" Meowth laughs.

Domino laughs as well from Meowth's joke. "Good one!"

Jessie pulls out Pidgeotto's Poké Ball from her purse. "Pidgeotto, you are extremely great and you deserve a long rest!"

"Pidgeotto!" The Pokémon cried in happiness.

"Pidgeotto, return!" Jessie recalls Pidgeotto back to its Poké Ball. She looks at the five Rapidash. "I hope you all understand that Ponyta is not weak! That kind of training shouldn't be required!"

Ponyta looks at Jessie with a sparkle in its eyes. The Pokémon is appreciative that Jessie is helping it. The five Rapidash look at Ponyta and then back at Jessie. All five Rapidash nod in approval.

"What this and you will see!" Jessie turns her attention to Ponyta. "Alright, Ponyta, this challenge is going to be tougher. You're gonna be up against a Pokémon that is super effective against you. You think you can handle it?"

Ponyta nods in response at Jessie's question and looks ready.

"Remember, focus on dodging. Dodging is the key to winning battles, especially if your opponent is super effective against you. Alright Squirtle, get over here!" Jessie hollered.

"Squirtle!" Squirtle steps on the battlefield.

Ponyta looks focused and ready as the Rapidash are spectating this training battle, so are Domino, James, and Meowth.

"Go Ponyta!" Domino cheered on.

"You got this, Ponyta!" James adds in.

"You can do it!" Meowth also cheered on.

Jessie commands both Pokémon. "Squirtle, Water Gun! Ponyta, dodge it!"

Squirtle releases a spiral of water from its mouth at Ponyta. Ponyta dodges the move by sliding to yeh right.

Jessie smiles from seeing Ponyta dodge the move. "There you go, that's it!"

Ponyta starts running in circles around Squirtle with incredible speeds.

"Squirtle?" Squirtle looks around in circles, trying to spot Ponyta, but ends up getting confused as it has spiral eyes.

Ponyta then tackles Squirtle after running high speeds, sending the Pokémon to a tree, hitting it.

Jessie snaps her fingers in excitement. "That's it! You're doing great, Ponyta!"

Ponyta opens its mouth and a spiraling flame is released, heading towards Squirtle. Squirtle quickly tries to counter it by releasing a spiral of water from its mouth once more. Both Pokémon's moves end up colliding.

Jessie starts to coach Ponyta once more. "Ponyta, I know your fire-type moves are weak against Squirtle's water-type moves, but not very effective moves don't matter if you're strong. Use all your strength and power!"

"NEIGH!" Ponyta uses all of its strength with this spiraling vortex move of fire. To everyone's shock, the move that Ponyta used all of its strength and power, somehow overpowers Squirtle's Water Gun and hits the Pokémon.

Squirtle takes a lot of damage and looks crisped. "Squirtle…" The Pokémon slowly falls on the ground and faints.

"WHOA!" Both Domino and James said in shock.

Meowth looks impressed. "DAMN!"

The five Rapidash that were spectating even look impressed as well, especially the leader of the group.

"Squirtle, return!" Jessie recalls Squirtle back to its Poké Ball. "You did so great, Squirtle. You deserve a big rest!" She turns her attention to the five Rapidash. "What did I tell you? Evolution doesn't automatically make a Pokémok strong. You can even make pre-evolution Pokémon stronger than their evolution form! It all depends on training, trainer's decisions, and the trainer in general!"

"Neigh!" Ponyta looks extremely happy.

"Well, I think we should head back on our trail to Celadon City." Domino suggested.

James nods in response. "More badges, the merrier!"

"About time!" Meowth says.

Jessie nods. "Yeah!"

Ponyta walks up to Jessie as the trainer looks down.

"Well Ponyta, I guess this is goodbye. You should go back to your friends, I guarantee you they will treat you nicer, right?" Jessie looks at the Rapidash with a raised eyebrow.

All five Rapidash nod in agreement.

"Neigh…" Ponyta looks down and frowns. Not really wanting to leave.

"I've had a rough day from almost burning alive. Let's get outta here as fast as possible." Meowth hops on Jessie's shoulder.

"Come on guys, let's get back on that trail to Celadon City!" Jessie walks off with Meowth on her shoulder.

Domino and James both follow Jessie as all the five Rapidash start leaving in the opposite direction. Ponyta just stands there, the Pokémon looks at the direction where the five Rapidash went and then the direction where Jessie and her friends went. It cuts to the gang who are walking right back on the trail that they were from earlier.

"I wished I caught that Ponyta, it would've been such a great Pokémon on my team!" Jessie shrugs. "But you know, it was the right thing to do."

Domino nods. "Yep, I think it was too. I respect you for that, Jessie."

James nods as well. "I agree."

"You know what? I'm glad to see an underdog story!" Meowth says.

"Neigh!"

The gang all stop walking after hearing a familiar Pokémok cry which caught their attention. "Huh?" They all look behind them and see the Ponyta from earlier.

"Oh would you look at that!" Meowth says with a smirk.

"Neigh!" Ponyta runs up to Jessie and tackles her in joy.

"Hey!" Jessie chuckles in response after being tackled in joy.

Domino smiles. "It looks like Ponyta chose you over the Rapidash, Jessie!"

"R-really?" Jessie looks at Ponyta with sparkles in her eyes. "You want to be part of my team, Ponyta?"

"Neigh!" Ponyta nods happily in response to Jessie's question.

James nods in approval. "And that's another Pokémon to your belt, Jessie!"

"Welcome to the team!" Meowth says.

Jessie pulls out an empty Poké Ball from her purse. "Poké Ball, go!" She taps the Poké Ball on Ponyta's nose.

Ponyta goes into the Poké Ball. Jessie and her friends watch The Poké Ball shake three times in her hands as it clicks, signaling a successful catch.

"Yes! I caught… Ponyta!" Jessie poses in celebration.

Domino, James, and Meowth all clap for Jessie. The Poké Ball turns white in Jessie's hand then it gets transported to Professor Oak's lab.

"I can't wait to use Ponyta soon, I know it's a strong Pokémon!" Jessie clutches her fist in excitement.

"One question though." Domino points out. "Which Pokémon in your party are you gonna switch out with?"

Jessie falls on the ground in displeasure. "I forgot about that part…" She immediately stands up and gains her happiness. "I'll deal with that part when we get to it! Right now, let's head to Celadon City!" Jessie sprints off with Meowth still on her shoulder.

Meowth is holding onto Jessie for dear life. "Can you go any slower?!"

"Hey, wait for me!" Domino sprints off to try to keep up with Jessie.

James sighs and shrugs. "Some things never change." He then sprints off to keep up with Jessie as well.

Time skips to Jessie stopping after seeing buildings with Domino and Jessie catching up.

"Hey guys, look!" Jessie points at the buildings that are not too far from them.

"That's Celadon City!" James says in delight.

"So that means you didn't leave us in the wrong direction this time, James!" Domino praises.

"Way to go, Jimmy!" Meowth hops down from Jessie's shoulder to claw James in the back as praise.

"OW!" James looks annoyed. "Thank you, Meowth…"

"Come on guys, let's go!" Jessie clutches her fist in excitement. "Fourth badge, here I come!"

"After Jessie making friends with Ponyta and training to use its strength and power, she has added another member on her roster and also has finally reached Celadon City and she looks hyped to try to win her fourth badge!
