"Peter Lagrange was into some seriously twisted stuff," Lynara muttered, her blue hair framing her face as she leaned over the table, reading through the pages. "This journal isn't just about trade routes and political maneuvering. It's filled with coded messages and references to something… darker."
Lila, the small halfling rogue, flipped through a few more pages, her eyes scanning the text with alarming speed. "Look at this," she said, pointing to a section marked with a strange symbol. "These notes here, 'shipments,' 'deliveries.' These aren't just goods being moved. This is something else."
