ATLA - The One Ring

Hello, friends So this is a bit of fun for me. Basically, you, the people, will control the actions of a fresh SI into the ATLA universe. Now given the title, most might expect a Green Lantern or something. I'll pop that bubble now. You are the Ring, a simple gold ring. ROB is a nice guy like that, dropping you in the Si Wong Dessert (where Appa got stolen) even more so. In the beginning, you have only two powers. Call and Contact. You will draw nearby people to be your host and you can talk to them after they pick up the ring. Over time as your host does things or acts certain ways or might even have pre-built powers, you can gain something similar. If you get put up with a thief? You'll learn to dampen noise, be more hidden and if you bond deeply, complete actions or fights or "quests" you can learn to go chameleon and more. These traits you gain, you could pass on to your next host. If you get a Fire bending host and stay with them a while, you can eventually gain the ability to grant fire bending to your hosts. Yes, at some point your hosts will be like the Avatar, If not stronger. . . . The ROB did say one thing before it all faded to white and pain. "Become interesting. Make the King worry, make the Spirits frown, make the Sage pace, the Old Man sweat, and above all...tell them nothing. "Your knowledge is your only trick for now. If you turn their gazes to me, I will unplug their world, you along with it. Have fun now!" he...she? They said with a smile. Pain hurts and being torn away from everything sucks. The One Ring - Functions

Host knowledge:

The One Ring Bonds to any living being that touches it. 

Only one being can be bonded at any one time. 

The Ring can CHOOSE if it wants to lend it's powers to it's current host. 

(Example -the ring can grant Air Bending. The ring decides to NOT grant air bending for different reasons.)

The more time the Host remains in contact with the ring, the stronger the BOND between them becomes.

Gaining power:

Bond has two measurable parameters - trust and cobtrol. Both increase with time, depending on the ring's attitude toward the host. 

At certain Bond milestones, the ring gains Trait Points and becomes able to purchase traits related to the current host. Points can be used instantly or stored for later.

The higher the bond value, the stronger and more expensive the traits available for purchase.

Traits can be merged at will or sacrificed to strengthen other traits.

The traits can have any effect, from the most useless, to the most overpowered, but the cost is always equivalent.

The ring has a maximum amount of traits it can store until they need to be merged or sacrificed to make space for more. Traits can also be directly upgraded with trait points.

The Ring massively accelerates the speed with which one becomes more skilled. Requires intentional training.

Fun facts :

The ring can bind again to a previous host even after being separated for a long time.

Interesting things happen when the bond value reaches 100

There is an option called Dice Merge in which you choose 2 traits and combine them, say, both worth 5 points. The end result in a normal merge will be a trait worth 10 points, but in a Dice merge, the end result can be worth anything from 1 to 20 points.
