Thousands of leagues south-east from Blue Wind Empire there is a place called the Mighty Heavenly Sword Region. 

It was one of the Fourth Great Sacred Grounds. They are experts of the Sword, and their leader is usually known as The Sword Master. 

The ruling 'family' all have the surname Xuanyuan, and one with such a surname will never be exiled from the Sacred Ground, even if his or her talent is poor.

While other families did not possess such luxuries, one of such exiles had the surname Ling; he ended up being the founder of Heavenly Sword Villa in Blue Wind Empire. 

Though much has changed in the Mighty Heavenly Sword Region since Xuanyuan Wentian took over a thousand years ago.

The man had ambition, and he did many questionable things over the years. One of them is the manipulation and destruction of a faction that was known as Fifth Sacred Ground over a thousand years ago.

Only after this incident did other Sacred Grounds realize that they have been manipulated.

The other three Sacred Grounds took a deep berth from this Sacred Ground, and they have been weary of this faction ever since then.

Not that Xuanyuan Wentian cared. 

After another closed-door cultivation session, Xuanyuan Wentian left his quarters. Several elders were waiting for him just outside his quarters.

In truth, he has been training to master and understand the only [Sovereign Profound] weapon in the Profound Sky Continent he acquired from the Eternal Night Royal Family, the Fifth Sacred Ground which he destroyed with the help of other Sacred Grounds.

The sword's name is the Heavenly Sin Divine Sword. The sword has an actual devil sealed inside of it. He believes this sword is his ticket to the next Realm, and he has been tirelessly trying to master this weapon. The issue is that he has no aptitude for the Dark Profound energy…

"What is it?" Xuanyuan Wentian started the conversation first.

"... Sword Master… we have news."

"Oh? Speak up."

"Not long ago, a genius Alchemist appeared on the continent. His talent is one we have never seen before." 

"Interesting… Did you try to recruit him?"

"... No… that's why we wish to speak with you, Sword Master. We might have an issue."

"Hmm? I assume you know that if we can't recruit him, we dispose of him." The Sword Master said with quite an annoyed tone.

"...there might be an issue… with this task, Sword Master."

"..."

"The Supreme Ocean Palace has declared him as their Young Master, and the Black Moon Merchant Guild is fully behind him as well."

This news made Xuanyuan Wentian frown quite hard.

'This is troublesome, this brat is going to get in my way. I need to dispose of him.'

'Hmm… I need an event…which will lead to an accident…' 

Thinking for a bit… there is a way for such a thing to happen. He remembers that there is that 'thing' in the Phoenix Empire. Which appears every twenty years or so. 

If he made sure that the brat would get stuck there, it should kill him off without any issue, and no one will even know it was him who made this event happen.

"Tell me everything you know. It's time for me to catch up with the events happening in the Profound Sky continent."

"Yes, Sword Master."

~~~~~~Frozen Cloud Immortal Palace~~~~~~

"Mistress! That Alchemist is trying to destroy the Frozen Cloud Immortal Palace from inside!" Chu Yuechan exclaimed with some anger. 

"And why would he do that?"

"He is trying to diminish our authority so that he could use us as some garden girls!"

"Oh? Do you have any better ideas, Chan'er? Maybe you want to marry that Villa Master?"

"..." This made her instantly stop in her tracks.

"We have no money to compete with the other three Major Powers. They have more manpower, more wealth, and more resources. They can buy the pills in bulk, which we cannot.

If we continue the way we are, we will be destroyed in less than a generation."

Chu Yuechan bit her lower lip. The Palace Mistress' words stabbed her harder than she thought. 

"I will ask Young Master Xiao to take you under his wing. You have beauty and power, you are the best fairy my Frozen Cloud has raised this generation."

The Frozen Beauty tried to say something, but nothing came out of her mouth. She tried to think of a way out of this situation.

"Do you understand Chan'er? Or do you perhaps wish to lose your status as the Frozen Beauty?"

This made the Chu Fairy's eyes widen. 

"N-No… I will follow your command, Palace Mistress." With an elegant bow, the Fairy was gone. She needs time to ponder, and rethink the situation her Palace is in.

As she thought before… Everything is happening because of that man.

Her sister is going crazy about him, though she has not left her secluded cultivation, yet. If she did, Chu Yuechan is certain that she would be by that man's side. It makes her cold just thinking about it.

And she should be immune to any sort of cold in the first place.

Gong Yuxian sighed, it appears it has started to happen. The Fairy's started to show their annoyance. 

First is her daughter-like figure, Chu Yuechan. The Palace Mistress always knew that she was prideful, so no surprise, having any sort of interaction with a male like Xiao Long is impossible on its own.

Sacred Ground or not. Chu Yuechan will have cordial words with him if need be, otherwise, she will retreat.

This is where the head Fairy is thinking to ask Xiao Long to take Chu Yuechan under his wing. 

The Frozen Beauty's power and looks should be enough as a selling point.

If not… she would need to use some drastic measures.

I looked at the resting form of Mu Lingxue. It was some time coming, but I was able to have some fun with this beauty. His sword fairy.

Who doesn't want to have cold beauty with a sword as a bodyguard maid?

Simply amazing. Not only that, but she helped me to evolve two arts!

[Profound energy is used to hyper-focus the user, this art disables outside influence to the maximum]

Pretty OP, I do wonder if this works against mental influence.

Then other art made me slightly smirk as it was True Young Master's art!

[Yin & Yang Dual Cultivation] (1/10) {18.54%}

[Dual Cultivation Art]

[Evolved form of Dual Cultivation, Yin and Yang energies are used to generate more energy through Dual Cultivation. This art is a proper cultivation art.]

In other words, I can throw regular cultivation out the window.

Not that I cultivated normally for a while… The pills have replaced that some time ago.

Though there is a new art I need to learn and… and that is the Yang Profound Energy.

But first… I need to refine all that energy I got from Mu Lingxue.

It's pure Yin energy that I need to refine and add to my Profound Energy.

This is where the Dual Cultivation art comes into play, It helps in refining the Yin Profound energy.

After closing my eyes, I proceeded to refine this energy. Since I used Mu Lingxue's Vital Yin to develop the art, what was left is the energy generated through the session.

Though it was not bad as the fairy is [First of Sky Profound] so the amount of energy was considerable and since I was halfway to [Eighth of Earth Profound] it was just the right amount to have a breakthrough to the said small realm.

*Lazy Groan*

My gaze went to the beauty slowly getting up.

"... Young Master?"

"What is it?"

"..."

The beauty slowly got up to a sitting position and looked at me.

"... Nothing… I am just…happy that you didn't leave." The beauty said with a blush.

I just smirked upon hearing that, I got up from the ground and two steps later I was sitting on her bed.

"I won't do that. Lingxue is just a cute and beautiful fairy. You even helped me in the progression of a cultivation art." 

"... I did?"

"Yes."

As I said that, my hands went to her shoulders and pulled her closer. My forehead touched hers and I transferred her portion of the Dual cultivation manual.

Her eyes widened as she processed what this was.

"... T-This… I heard about this before…"

She said with a gulp before looking at me.

"But… for this art to do this… I am genuinely surprised and terrified." 

"Oh? Terrified of what?" I asked curiously.

"For it to affect how people see cultivation." She answered with a small frown.

"But… since you taught me this… we will do this again, yes?" She asked with a healthy blush.

"Of course… we can start with another session right now."

Not much time is left until the Phoenix Emperor will be visiting me, that month's period is almost over, and I am almost done with the setup for the Frozen Cloud Immortal Palace.

This place will be my main generator of Smoothing Grass. I already witnessed how potent this grass is. 

Helping to consume [Sky Profound] core in simple layers instead of just a single burst of energy into the veins. This is incredible grass and I want to protect this place.

For that, I decided to spend the rest of the remaining time building a profound energy-gathering array, concentrating on the garden.

The array is a similar style to the one I built in the Xiao Clan but…

'Walking around is kind of boring…'

So I pulled out the Sky Profound Ascension pill.

Since I was late [Earth Profound] the amount of energy I could get should be considerable.

Without wasting more time I swallowed the pill, a few moments later the first layer of energy got released from the pill, and my cultivation soared, then the second layer, the third layer, and at the fourth layer, I had a breakthrough to [Ninth of Earth Profound].

Few more layers of energy, I had a breakthrough into [Tenth of Earth Profound].

This was it, how many layers are left? When I was making the pills I didn't count, my concentration was in pill making, not counting layers.

Though, from the pill in my gut, there is still quite a bit of energy left. 

Regardless, I focused on adding more energy to my cultivation base.

Slowly I approached that critical point and had the breakthrough to [First of Sky Profound].

*Phew*

There are still a few layers left…

The biggest one so far.

The cultivation continued to surge and eventually, I had a breakthrough to [Second of Sky Profound] this was where the last bits of the pill dissipated.

'So there is enough energy to reach the second small realm. Not bad.'

Honestly, I thought the way I layered the profound energy in the pill it would only be enough to reach the [First of Sky Profound].

But this is good either way.

Once my Profound energy settled down, I stood up and inspected myself. I can finally feel the amount of power under my fingertips. It's intoxicating.

Though, I am more interested in one certain thing.

And that is the ability to float!

So, my power surged and a white profound energy layer surrounded me. I slowly started to float.

Slowly, inch by inch I went up. With a little bit more practice, I went up. Before starting to fly around. 

Going around the Frozen Cloud Immortal Palace. I saw some of the fairies getting out of their home to see who was flying around.

Some of them were quite shocked to see that it was me. Clearly, they remembered me a few days ago, I was only in the middle stages of [Earth Profound]. 

And now I was in [Sky Profound] this is something else for these fairies.

Though after having fun I returned to my work. Not much time was left after all.

I am not planning to return here any time soon… so, I need to work.

~~~~~~Gong Yuxian~~~~~~

The Palace Mistress had a thoughtful look. It appears Young Master Xiao is building a Profound energy-gathering array. 

So, she is quite ashamed of herself that she will be asking something more of him. They already have a mountain of pills, and now they are going to have a Profound Energy gathering array.

And yet, she still needs to do something. She wants to help her daughter like a figure. Chu Yuechan has all the traits to be with Young Master Xiao.

This was why she went to see him. There is not much time left, he already said that he will be leaving in a few days.

"What can I do for you, Palace Mistress?" He asked her without looking at her. He was busy drawing profound runes on a few crystal rods.

"This… Young Master Xiao… I was wondering… could you take Chu Yuechan into your services?"

"... Take her? I don't think she likes me, there is no reason for me to have someone who doesn't like me."

"... What if I persuade her?"

"... First you need to persuade me, and then perhaps persuade her as well." He said with a simple tone.

This made Gong Yuxian slightly narrow her eyes.

"... I don't mind…persuading Young Master…"

"Hmm? Oh? You don't? In that case…" He pulled out several pills and made them float towards the Palace Mistress.

"Consume these. I will see how hard you want to persuade me, Palace Mistress." 

With a gulp, the mature fairy looked at the pills. Here she was… at a crossroads. 

Though she didn't need to think much, she already made her choices. Part of her already is lusting after what she could become if she follows the Young Master Xiao.

The fairy witnessed what happens when one follows him, Mu Lingxue is an example, the young Fairy was already a [Sky Profound] in just a few days!

"... How do I consume these pills?"

"The orange one, you take one at a time. First, consume them, after that, you take the ice-melting pills."

The Palace Mistress slowly nodded and proceeded to eat the Orange pills.

Just by taking one, she could feel vitality returning with force. And then the second pill, and the last third.

She could feel how better she was feeling just from consuming these pills.

"These are vitality pills, they restore and improve one's life force."

Gong Yuxian nodded, she remembered hearing about these from the fairies which attended the auction houses. These pills sell for millions. And now she consumed three of these.

"Good, now proceed with the Ice melting pills."

As he said that, he stopped working on the crystal rod and instead walked over to her and put his hand on her. The Palace Mistress didn't resist him at all.

Instead, she swallowed the pills and proceeded to guide this energy through her profound veins. 

Slowly…she could feel her bottleneck loosening up and she finally had her breakthrough!

Her heart started to beat rapidly, excitement started to raise from inside of her.

She has finally reached [Fifth of Emperor Profound] not only that, but she could feel the surge of power. She has reached the midpoint! 

"There is still a lot of ice inside of you. Many of your profound entrances are full of those.

Hmm, let me deal with this."

Xiao Long proceeded to channel his Profound energy inside of her. This energy was strange… the Palace Mistress knew this much. 

As it gives her a feeling of extreme warmth and coziness…

She could feel it flowing through her body, the ice getting lessened up.

"Swallow the next Ice melting pill."

"Yes."

Gong Yuxian followed his command and swallowed the next pill. She could feel how the loose ice started to rapidly melt. In the process, profound entrances are being opened as well.

This made the fairy more and more excited. As her cultivation started to rapidly increase. 

She has almost reached [Sixth of Emperor Profound]!

"Very good. Mistress, I will see you this evening. I want to see how good you are at persuading your Young Master." 

As he said that, he leaned forward and gently kissed her lips. This made her eyes widen to a large degree. She started to feel strange…like very strange.

Regardless, she nodded at him and swiftly left.

Now she was at the point of no way back.

Instead of going back to the Palace, she rushed to see Chu Yuechan.

Appearing in front of her house, the fairy inside swiftly moved to open the doors.

"Mistress?"

The Frozen Beauty was shocked to see a much younger-looking Palace Mistress, she had lush black hair and the temperament of a Leader. 

"Chan'er, Young Master Xiao will leave us soon. I want you to join him, no, you will join him. Once at his side, you will reveal your true potential. I am sure he will be impressed by your talent and beauty."

"..."

There was quite a strange look on Chu Yuechan, she knew something was about to happen. She is wondering what… will her mother-like figure do? 

"...this… Mistress…"

"I won't hear 'no' from you, our Frozen Cloud needs more connections with him. We need his talents only then we will reach heights like never before."

The Frozen Beauty finally nodded her head. She will try. Otherwise, she won't be able to face Palace Mistress.

"Yuechan understands. I will try my best."

"Good. Then I will see you later."

After saying that, the Palace Mistress disappeared, leaving a stunned Chu Yuechan. 

Frozen Beauty IS wondering what kind of pills the Mistress consumed to look this young and powerful, and she had a breakthrough. 

Regardless, she now needs to think about how she will serve the Young Master. Knowing men, she will most likely end up in his bed as a toy.

But, that is something she needs to get over with. Now that Frozen Cloud is in complete mercy of him…

A frown appeared on her face. Since that is the case, she needs to find a way to make him pay attention to her. So even if she becomes a toy…at least she can be his favorite toy.

Regardless, she shook her head and returned to her ice home.

For now, she needs to focus on her cultivation.
