Chapter 12: Going down the Mountain

As soon as Alex said the lines of the once hailed as the strongest in another universe, he felt unwavering confidence in himself.

"Hmm, I do not have money, and I don't wanna kill beasts just for the sake of money, if it was for the sake of alchemy, it would have been understandable but not for money. I guess I will have to work something out with my current knowledge."

"I guess I should check out how my shadows are doing. They have been cultivating in the Shadow Domain for some time now, I wanna see how much they have progressed, even though they wouldn't have progressed as fast as me but still, it should be faster than normal considering that the energy density inside the Shadow Domain is a lot denser than normal or at least that's what Bellion had told me."

Saying so, Alex quickly summoned his shadows and as soon as they came outside, Alex was shocked to feel the changes in their aura. Their aura's went under significant changes, much denser and threatening than before.

All three of them knelt down on their knees and shouted,

"Greetings, My Liege!"

"Greetings, My Liege!"

"Greetings, My Liege!"

"What are your current cultivation levels?" asked Alex.

"My liege, I am at the 4th level of Divine Origin Realm" replied Igris

"My liege, I am also at the 4th level of Divine Origin Realm" replied Beru

Alex nodded in approval after hearing both of them and then looked over at Bellion.

"My Lord, I am at the 6th level of Divine Origin Realm"

Alex was quite pleased with the improvement of his shadows and praised them.

"You guys are really working hard. If it wasn't for you guarding me, you could have improved even more. I am grateful to you guys."

"It's our honor My Liege!" said Bellion and Igris together.

Meanwhile Beru started to cry and spoke," My Liege, thank you for your kind words. This servant is not worthy of them!"

Alex could only shake his head at the antics of his general.

Alex's expression then shifted to a bit seriousness as he spoke,

"Now that I am capable of protecting myself, I want you guys to fully focus on improving your cultivation. We may be strong here but in the Realm of Gods, we are among the weakest for now. And I do not want to let the world know about you guys. I plan to use you to turn the fate of the universe itself. And for my plan to work, I want you to grow stronger."

"Here, take these array formations, these are not powered yet, but you know how to use them, they are the only Divine Origin Prototypes I have created and would increase the density of energy even more." said Alex as he handed the array formations he made on the stone leaves

"Now, go back inside the Shadow Domain."

"As you wish, My Liege!"

"As you wish, My Liege!"

"As you wish, My Liege!"

And all three of them returned to the Shadow Realm.

(A.N: I know you might be feeling that why aren't the shadows getting importance and stuff. Trust me, I am cooking something and all of them will shine in glory in the near future.)

"Now, let's end my closed door cultivation and descend the mountain as an overpowered protagonist."

"But, where should I go? Which heroine do I want to ban-- Ahem! court first?"

"No, fuck, I mean which place could be a good start for me?"

"I guess, I should go to Floating Cloud City first, after all, it contains 50kg of the Purple Veined Divine Crystal in it's backyard basically. And also, I need to check and see whether or not the plot has started yet and if it has, what's the progress going on. Moreover, I can't just let Scum Che live."

"So, let's get going now."

And Alex started to ascend from the ground at a very fast pace and shot to the sky, but suddenly he stopped,

"But where exactly is the Floating Cloud City?" muttered Alex with a dumb expression on his face.

"Whatever, I will find out by asking someone along the way."

And Alex, shot into a random direction in the sky.

A few hours later, 

Alex was floating above a city, the hometown of the protagonist and the cold heroine named Xia Qingyue.

"I really shouldn't have set out in a random direction. Turns out I was going in the completely opposite direction of the Floating Cloud City. Thank goodness that I found that farmer, the guy helped me out a bit. Well, I didn't take his help for free though, I scared away all the beasts nearby his farm, hah! so kind of me, lol."

"Anyways, so how should I approach the situation for now? I have thought of a couple of scenarios along the way, but I am still not certain about anything for now."

"Hmm...it's evening already, I should just go ahead and extract the Divine Crystals first.

And Alex went to the mountain area in the backside of the Floating Cloud City. He had already hidden his presence as to not alert any of the cultivators inside the Floating Cloud City.

Within a few seconds, Alex reached the mountain area and soon spread out his senses and tried to search for any signs of the crystals. Within a few minutes, Alex found out something within the ground. 

He went near the place where he felt the sensation and used telekinesis to remove the stones and dirt from there. 

And soon, something shined a bit and on removing more of the obstacles, it was the Purple Veined Divine Crystals.

"Bingo!!!"

Alex started to gather all of the amount that was present in there. It was supposed to be 50kg according to the novel. 

Alex had no way of knowing about that so he just collected all of them and stored them inside the his inventory.

"Hmm, now I need a place to sleep. Poor me, I don't have any money on me so I guess I will just sleep in the mountains. Not that I don't have money on me, this loot-- I mean collection of resources is enough for me to buy this entire empire, but the shopkeepers won't have any change for it."

"So, I guess, this is goodnight then."
