Chapter 11: I'd Win

Three months later,

Alex could still be seen cultivating near the waterfall that Beru had once found for him. But this time, there wasn't any of his shadow soldiers guarding him. Well, the reason for that was pretty simple actually and was visible when anyone looked at Alex.

Around Alex's Body, a dark purplish Aura was exploding, threatening to turn anyone or anything it touched to cosmic dust.

The aura surged once more and turned to become more violent with each passing minute. As a few minutes passed, the aura that was as violent as an exploding star in the outer space became as serine as the water flowing in a river.

Ding! You have reached the 1st Level of the Emperor Profound Realm!

As soon as the notification rang out, Alex opened his eyes. His eyes did not give the feeling of an overexcited teenager, but rather that of a calm old man who had gathered a lot of knowledge in his lifetime.

Alex felt his aura and a smile tugged at the corner of his lips. 

"It's been three months and I have finally reached the Emperor Profound Realm. I could have gone even further beyond in my cultivation realm if I had not been studying and practicing the the stuff I had learnt. That consumed a lot of my time, but is also the reason that I was able to reach this realm in 3 months even though I cultivated for only 4-5 hours a day."

"The Sovereign Grade Energy Gathering Array is really effective. It basically reduced the time taken for gathering the external energy to be absorbed by multiple times as well as it increased the density of energy in my locality as well."

Alex had completed the Array Formation Book till Divine Extinction Grade within the first 52 days. He had been studying for around 16 hours a day. Initially, he planned to study for at max 4-5 hours as above that was beyond his limit.

But as he studied, he found himself so indulged in the knowledge he was gaining that he gave more and more time to learning it. He was able to do it because there wasn't any instagram nor webnovel for him to waste most of his time.

Anyways, continuing on, Alex after Alex had completed the Array Formations till Divine Extinction Grade, he started to practice the knowledge he had acquired and oh boy at that time did he understand that knowledge inside the mind did not mean actual experience.

In the beginning he failed to figure out about how to make the Energy nodes get in sync with each other and this only increased with the higher grade of Arrays that he continued to build, as the higher the grade of an array the more energy nodes it had.

As Alex continued to gain mastery over his array formation arts, he encountered another problem and that was the problem about the energy requirements for a specific grade of an array.

You see, the name of the grades being similar to that of the cultivation realms isn't just a joke or something done on a whim, no, but rather it specifies the amount needed to operate a specific array. 

Even though Alex was able to build arrays of higher grade, he was not able to make them work as they needed continuous supply of energy. The energy may be from either a cultivator or from other sources that contain refined profound energy.

But there are always a few exceptions in it, just like chemistry, the only difference is that Alex never understood chemistry.

The exceptions here were few types of arrays that did not need any pure energy sources in continuous supply. For example, the energy gathering array, all it needed was a certain amount of energy to start, it was just like you feed a car enough petrol to start once and the engine won't stop even when the supply was cut. It will work as long as the energy nodes were in perfect sync.

And since Alex did not have energy levels of Sovereign Profound Realm, he simply asked Igris to do it.

Oh!, and speaking of Igris, all three shadows of Alex's very small shadow army had been continuously cultivating inside the Shadow Domain without having to guard him for the last month, before that they were taking shifts of eight hours each for guarding our protagonist.

After being done with the practicing of Array Formations, he just shifted all of his focus to his cultivation and spent some of his time to study the other fields from the Book of Cultivation.

Alex called out his system panel, "System"

"Great, now I am strong enough to fuck with plot and take on any being on this planet. I want my first actual fight to be with someone experienced and someone evil. I am practically invincible due to my physique. I don't have any battle experience but fighting with someone who is revered as a strong being on this planet will be cool for my first fight of my life."

"I do have a few suggestions in my mind but, I am still confused about whom to choose. Well, I will figure out who's gonna be my first chicken dinner in this world."

Alex closed his eyes as he continued to speak.

"I do not even want to have mock battles with my shadows either, I will learn through the fight itself. It maybe overconfident of me to feel this way.."

And Alex opened his eyes once again and spoke with utter confidence as he continued with a smirk on his face,

"...I'd Win!"
