Dominique's POV
I didn't want to worry Griffin, but I had been utterly terrified that he was going to die. That creature had bitten him several times, and I just got lucky that I was in position to decapitate it before it killed him outright. I prayed and prayed to the Moon Goddess to save him, and again, I got lucky that she answered me.
Despite the terror of wondering whether Griffin was going to make it, the act of helping to heal him felt satisfying. When I saw the poison spreading toward his heart immediately, my training kicked in automatically. I elevated the affected areas and tied them off, gently, with strips of cloth I tore off my shirt. It worked even better than I anticipated, and I watched as the tendrils crept back to the original wound, keeping his vital organs safe.
