Advent of Astral Part 39: Mentorship

Astral would have given Adam his address. Showing up the estate was massive, plenty of land and a house the size of a school. Adam would have walked to the entry way as the doors flew open. He was startled as a bright haired girl looked at him.

"HI, you must be Adam!" She would yell as his ears would ring from the volume. She would notice him clutching his ears, "I am sorry, I still am not finely tuned, come this way." Motioning with her hands to have him follow her. He would reach his hand out as she grabbed it and pulled him along.

He would stumble along as the lady became clear, she was seemingly too fluid with her movement, it felt mechanical to a point as her hair felt too styled and pointed all over the place, her bright colors highlighted by a soft green glow from the inside of her legs and arms.

He wondered what she could be if not human. Entering a large open library Astral would be waiting at a full sized table. "Now look Astrid that's not a way to play with the guests."

"Sorry, you have to tamper with my volume settings a bit, however, his eardrums burst from me." Astral looked over not surprised at his creation. Adam clueless on what was being said, just lightheaded from his ears bleeding.

"C'mon lemme patch you up." Astral would point to the chair in front of him as Adam sat down confused but getting there. Astral would look into his ear and place something inside, suddenly every sound came flooding back.

"Now how is that? Not only will it suppress all volumes to whispers outside of direct speech." Astral would walk over to the other side of Adam as he became more confused.

"You should read all of these papers first, knowing you, it'll click and we can get asking questions." Astral would hand Adam a folder full of notes. "Once you join me, there is no going back."

Adam nodded as he seem to lost his voice as Astrid would plug herself in to a computer and manually turned herself down. She still felt too loud and would just work on learning sign language as Astral just redirected her vocal powers.

He was in awe of all of the situations that Astral has been in, it hasn't been just him. There were others as well. Adam understood it all and looked over to the man he looked up to forever. "So what is my ability then, I am not freaky athletic and never have been, I can't absorb power like you two."

"Your choice, dig deep inside of yourself and realize what you want to do." Astral would hand over a notebook as Adam drew up a flurry of sketches, ranging from all sorts of animals and weapons.

He would rip them out and toss them all over the place as they came to life, Astrid would be wrestling a lion as Astral shooed some birds out the window. Adam would look around and see the havoc he caused.

He would just sit back. "Sit." Adam would demand and whistle all of the drawings obeyed him. Astral would be impressed as Astrid tossed her arms up, she had the lion pinned. Adam would be proud of himself as was Astral.

"Your other ability is a special knack from the looks of it," Astral would state. "You naturally catch on quickly. I credit that to your genome as well." Adam would nod in agreement.

Astral smiled as each of them had an unique ability to them. All three of them had a different useful skill. All three of them had something that make them tick as well. He would sit back and get lost in his thoughts as Adam spoke up.

"So, where are the other two at? Your reports do mention the doctor and the carebear." Astral would glare over at Adam, who felt like he would shrink on the spot.

"Those are my personal papers, do not tell her the codename bestowed on her." Astral would walk over and grab the papers, putting them safely in the pocket dimension. "The two of them are out getting groceries."

Adam would be frightened but shivering in place. "Wow." all Adam could muster out of his mouth was the sound of shock. Astral however would look at his phone, Sending a text to Jaimie who wasn't driving.

'Lol, this child is neato, Adam will be a great addition to our lil crew.' Astral would put his phone away as Astrid walked in. She had a worried expression on her face. Astral and Adam both were puzzled.

"Astrid sweetie, did you break something?" Astral would ask, trying to soothe her as Astrid nodded no. Adam would be in the background sketching up a notebook, looking to the desk seeing sketchbooks piled up.

"I didn't break it, the government did. Our SUV is totaled." Astrals' look from caring turned into the same worried look. "Jaimie and Anders are fully healthy but surrounded." In a blur Astral seemed to vanish as Astrid would look over. "Whatcha drawing?"

"As many things as possible. So many ideas are filling my head and I will move as fast as I can." Adam spoke as he didn't realize Astral left. He would make simple sketches from throwing stars and spears to more detailed pictures of ninja's and samurai's.

Astrid would beep and bop around not having many worries, Astral would save the day. She would head to the garage and look up at a mech. "Don't you worry, we will be united soon enough." She would plug in a cord inside the cabin and work on the programming and motion of the mech, especially the programmed eyes.

Adam would peek up from his notebook and realize there was no one around. "Where did everyone go?" Adam would turn his head before grabbing the next sketchbook and working on filling it up.

He wouldn't think Astral would mind, after all if Astral needs these he can just get him more, or better ones to make up for it. Looking into the sketchbook he saw it full from the idea's Astral had for many projects.
