The Wolf of Patch

My Name is Cole Branwen, son of Qrow Branwen and Summer Rose, Older Brother to Ruby rose and this is the story of how we saved the world. Like most stories, it starts at the begining.

My sister and I were children when our lives changed forever. We were at our uncle tai and aunt Raven's house visiting our cousin Yang.

My father, a professional huntsman and a professor at signal academy, comes rushing through the door, tears falling from his face and his weapon in hand.

I went to hug him, but he looked at me and cried more as my sister and I approached him. He knelt down and enveloped us both in a large hug. It wasnt until later that I found out that my mother had been murdered.

My sister was taken in by Tai and Raven, Raven left soon after, leaving Tai to raise both girls.

After 4years, when I had just started school at Beacon academy, My father took me to a secret organization, where I trained to become a true warrior, where I remained for many years, until my initiation. I am now 25 years old

"Where other men blindly follow the truth, Remember" says the elder

"nothing is true."I respond

"Where other men are limited by morality or law, Remember"

"everything is permitted."

"We work in the dark to serve the light." the first elder says

"We are assassins." the other say in unison as I recieve a brand on my left ring finger signifying my allegiance to the creed and protecting the freedom of humanity

My father stood in the corner of the room, sipping on a flask of whiskey. He'd been like this since my mother died.

We left for Vale and Beacon after the ceremony was done. Upon arrival my father goes to a local bar to watch the Vytal Festival and I went to the tallest building which was Beacon tower, and climbed to the top, getting a view of the area. Jumping down from the tower I heard the clang of Sabres and gunfire. following the sound I saw my father fighting an atlas soldier. On the side of the fight I saw my sister Ruby with one Wiess Schnee.

"Kick her butt dad" Ruby said

"show him respect Winter" Said wiess

My father was fighting Winter Schnee, my ex Girlfriend.

She went to charge at him. I jumped in and blocked it, causing my hood to fall off my head. I looked to Ruby who had stars in her eyes. I looked to Winter who got up in anger and softened as she saw my face. After the crowd dispersed and winter and my father were taken to Ozpins office. Ruby rushed to my side as she screamed "BIG BRO" I looked down and saw her clinging to my arm.

"DID YOU MISS ME, DID YOU MISS ME, DID YOU MISS ME"

"Yes I missed you kid" I said as she hugged me.

I follow her to her room and see Yang, she's definitely grown well.

"Damn Cole, look at you" she said as she hugged me. They introduced me to their team mates, Blake Belladonna and Wiess Schnee who I already knew. We talked and caught up.

Later that night I was in the mess hall catching up on some light reading when I saw Winter walk in with out her entourage. She looked at me and motioned for me to fallow her. We walked to the court yard.

"Cole where have you been" she asked as she looked at me, to which a I replied by removing my glove and showing her the brand on my ring finger.

"You're an assassin?" she asked, clearly surprised. I knew she knew, her mother was one of us long ago, before she married Jack.

Winter herself was trained to be one of us, but never went through initiation.

"What are you doing here?" she asked

"Same as you, trying to prevent a disaster"
