"NO!" Kael's tiny fists pounded the floor as he sobbed uncontrollably. "I'll kill you! I'll kill you all!"
"YOU BASTARD!!!!", Kael roared. "I WILL KILL YOU!!"
Kael's heart burned with a new emotion—rage. He clenched his fists, his tiny body trembling with anger and sorrow. He would make this man pay. He would avenge his parents even if it was the last thing he did.
The assassin, a towering figure cloaked in darkness, watched him with cold, indifferent eyes. "Pathetic," he muttered, sheathing his bloodied blade. "You're coming with me."
Kael's mind raced, filled with the skills and techniques from his past life. He knew he was at a severe disadvantage—his body was that of a mere child. But he had to try. He couldn't let his parents' deaths be in vain.
With a surge of adrenaline, Kael launched himself at the assassin. His movements were clumsy, but his intent was lethal. He aimed for the assassin's throat, but his tiny hands were easily swatted away.
"Is that all you've got?" the assassin taunted, a cruel smile playing on his lips.
Kael growled, his eyes burning with hatred. He tried again, this time aiming for the assassin's eyes. But once more, he was effortlessly deflected.
The assassin grabbed Kael by the throat and lifted him off the ground. "You're nothing but a child," he sneered. "Do you really think you can fight me?"
Kael gasped for air, his vision blurring. But he refused to give up. With the last of his strength, he kicked the assassin in the groin. The assassin grunted, dropping Kael to the floor.
Kael scrambled to his feet, his breath coming in ragged gasps. He searched the room for anything he could use as a weapon. His eyes landed on a small, ornate dagger on the table. He lunged for it, gripping it tightly in his small hands.
The assassin recovered quickly, his expression one of annoyance. "You're persistent, I'll give you that," he said, drawing his sword. "But it ends here."
Kael's heart raced as the assassin advanced on him. He knew he stood little chance, but he refused to back down. He dodged the assassin's first swing, the blade whistling past his ear. He countered with the dagger, aiming for the assassin's abdomen. But his movements were slow, and the assassin easily sidestepped the attack.
The assassin struck Kael across the face, sending him crashing to the floor. Pain exploded in his head, but he forced himself to get up. He couldn't afford to stay down.
"Impressive," the assassin said, almost begrudgingly. "Most would have given up by now."
Kael spat out a mouthful of blood, his vision swimming. He held the dagger in front of him, his hands shaking. "I will... kill you," he rasped, his voice filled with unwavering determination.
The assassin laughed, a cold, mirthless sound. "You're welcome to try."
Kael's mind flashed through his training, recalling every technique, every strategy. He knew he needed to get inside the assassin's guard. He feigned a stumble, luring the assassin closer. When the assassin moved in for the kill, Kael sprang up, driving the dagger towards the assassin's heart.
But the assassin was too fast. He caught Kael's wrist and twisted it, forcing the dagger from his grasp. Kael cried out in pain, but he didn't stop. He headbutted the assassin, aiming for the nose. The assassin reeled back, more out of surprise than pain.
Kael saw his chance and tackled the assassin, his small fists pounding against the assassin's chest. It was a desperate, futile effort, but Kael's rage fueled him. He would not let this man win.
The assassin recovered quickly, slamming Kael to the ground. He pinned Kael's arms above his head, his grip like iron. "Enough of this," he growled. "You're coming with me, whether you like it or not."
Kael struggled, his vision blurring from the pain. But something inside him refused to give up. He recalled his mother's words. The tales of the Brave Knight who used his holy spirit to defeat the enemies of the empire. He recalled his father's lesson how a spirit resides in one's soul and how to release it but his father always warned him that spirits should only be awakened after the age of 8.
But he had no choice. Kael closed his eyes and tried feeling his spirit. He saw black miasma around his heart. Feeling a connection Kael touched the miasma. He felt a surge of power, a dark, primal force awakening within him. The room seemed to grow darker, the shadows deepening around him.
The assassin's eyes widened in shock. "What... what is this?" he stammered, his grip loosening.
Kael felt the power growing, coursing through his veins. He focused on the assassin, his rage and pain fueling the dark energy within him. "I'll... kill you," he whispered, his voice echoing with an otherworldly resonance.
The shadows around Kael began to swirl, coalescing into a dark, menacing form. The assassin stumbled back, fear etched across his face. "This... this is impossible," he muttered.
Kael's body was enveloped in darkness, the shadows merging with him. He felt a presence within him, a being of pure shadow and power. It whispered to him, offering its strength.
Kael didn't hesitate. He embraced the shadow, letting it merge with his very essence. His body was lifted off the ground, the dark energy swirling around him like a storm. His eyes glowed with a malevolent light, and his aura radiated pure, unbridled power.
The assassin stared in horror, his sword falling from his trembling hands. "No... this can't be..." he whispered, his voice shaking.
Kael's aura exploded, the sheer force of it shattering the windows and tearing the room apart. The assassin was thrown against the wall, his eyes wide with terror.
Kael hovered in the air, the shadows swirling around him like a living, breathing entity. He felt invincible, his power overwhelming. He looked down at the assassin, his expression one of cold, unyielding hatred.
"This is the end," Kael said, his voice echoing with the power of the shadow. "You will pay for what you've done."
The assassin tried to speak, but no words came out. He was paralyzed with fear, his body trembling uncontrollably. Liquid flowing between his legs was spreading in the room.
Kael raised his hand, the shadows coalescing into a spear of pure darkness. He aimed it at the assassin, his eyes burning with fury. "Die," he whispered.
But before he could unleash the final blow, his vision blurred, and his body felt heavy. The power was overwhelming, too much for his young body to handle. He felt himself losing consciousness, the shadows retreating.
"No... not now..." Kael thought, his mind screaming in frustration. He tried to hold onto the power, but it slipped through his fingers like sand.
The last thing he saw was the assassin's terrified face as the shadows dissipated. Kael's body fell to the ground, his vision fading to black. The power of the shadow spirit had saved him, but it had also drained him completely.
As he slipped into unconsciousness, Kael vowed that he would master this power. He would grow stronger, and he would have his revenge. The shadows were his to command, and with them, he would destroy all who stood in his way.
The room was left in ruins, the echoes of Kael's awakening lingering in the air. The assassin, though terrified, managed to crawl away, his mind reeling from what he had witnessed. He knew that this child was no ordinary boy. He was a force to be reckoned with, a being of darkness and power.
Kael's journey was just beginning. He had awakened something within him, something that would change his fate forever. The shadows had chosen him, and with their power, he would rise above his enemies and claim his vengeance.
The night was silent, the air heavy with the remnants of the dark energy. Kael lay unconscious, his small body exhausted from the ordeal. But even in his unconscious state.
The assassin, beaten and terrified, stumbled to his feet. He looked down at Kael's unconscious form, a sinister grin spreading across his face. "Well, well," he muttered, his voice dripping with malice. "Looks like I've found myself a treasure."
He kicked Kael's limp body, eliciting a weak groan from the child. "A kid with an awakened elemental spirit," he mused, kicking Kael again. "You'll fetch a high price, little one."
Kael, still unconscious, muttered softly, "Mom... Dad..."
The assassin laughed, a chilling sound that echoed through the ruined room. He continued to kick Kael, venting his frustration and delighting in the boy's suffering. "Cry all you want. No one's coming to save you."
Satisfied with his brutal display, the assassin grabbed Kael by the collar and dragged him towards the door. "Let's go, brat," he sneered. "I've got plans for you."
Kael's small body was dragged across the piss-soaked floor, his mind drifting in and out of consciousness. His vision was blurred, his head throbbing with pain. The echoes of his parents' dying words haunted him, mingling with the cruel laughter of the assassin.
As they exited the estate, the cool night air hit Kael's face, offering a brief moment of clarity. He tried to fight back, his limbs weakly flailing, but the assassin's grip was unrelenting.
"Is it done sir assassin?" Kael heard a familiar voice. He ran through his memories to remember the person.
"Captain Aser?" The man heard Kael turned to Kael and started kicking him in the guts.
PAH PAH
"You little shit! How dare you, a fake noble call me a true noble." the man continued hitting Kael.
HA HA HA
The assassin laughed, a cold, mirthless sound. "Dear client, you are hurting my merchandise. You regained your consciousness? You truly are unique." Assassin licked his lips while looking at Kael.
"Ah sorry sir assassin. Here this is the rest of the money you were promised. And did this brat piss himself? " the man pinching his nostrils hurriedly gave a pouch to the assassin.
"Wh-why?" Kael asked the Aser.
PAH PAH
"You brat! You ask me why? Haha How could we not when the woman the Count was eyeing on gets married to a fake noble? He had to die. He was only left to live for a few years due to the new emperor. A filthy peasant dares to get in the way of a noble?" the man sneered.
"Hi hu" Aser heard Kael muttering something.
Aser subconsciously came close to hear what he was saying.
SLASH
Blood dripped from Aser's face. "Huh?" Aser touched his face and looked at his bloodied hand with confusion. He looked at Kael with a bloody smile on his face. He looked at the weapon in his hand.
'A tooth?'
Kael broke his canine tooth to scar Aser's face. Aser full of rage unsheathed his sword ready to slice Kael.
HA HA HA HA HA
"Oh boy I never had this much fun in a long time." Assassin looked at Kael and then unleashed his aura at Aser warning him.
"Then we will be leaving my dear client." Hearing this Aser quickly asked the soldiers to open the gates.
Kael looked at his house with tears welling up his eyes. He swore to be back. He swore to kill everyone involved. He will dye the kingdom in blood if it is for the vengeance.
"I will be back mum." Kael muttered and fell unconscious.
