Introductions and fast friends

Yuri noticed the girl just looking at her Yuri thought that maybe she didn't trust her. Letting out a sigh Yuri looked at the girl and said. " at least let us get out of this dingy alley."

Hearing this the girl snapped out of her inner turmoil and followed after giving a nod.

As Yuri took the girl's hand and they left the alley she reintroduced herself. "As I said before my name is Yuri I'm actually a member of the Hephaestus famillia. And may I have the pleasure of knowing your name?"

Hearing this the girl thought for a moment before deciding it wouldn't hurt to give the person who helped her her name. "My name is

Ysabelle Cranel. However, I just go by Bell".

Hearing this Yuri blanked for a second before her mind was able to process this info. When her mind caught up she realized that this wasn't the danmachi she was familiar with. In this world, there was no runt white rabbit who try as he might struggled to get strong enough to get the girl. Instead, there was an adorable white rabbit that was a girl.

This made Yuri wonder what other differences there were in this world. Not wanting to seem suspicious due to not responding Yuri continued the conversation. "Bell it's a nice name. So is there anything that brought you to the city?"

Hearing this Bell's cheeks turned red before she answered. "Yes. My grandfather who raised me told me stories of heroes who saved the day and rescued the damsel. He told me one day I would have to find my own hero and told me the most likely place to find such a hero was here where adventurers gather. And a few months back he passed away and I figured it would be best to start my search."

Hearing this Yuri wondered if this Bell had no interest in being an adventurer herself. "So do you just want to have some guy save you and you fall in love and live happily ever after or."

Hearing this Bell shook her head. "No. I want to get strong enough to fight side by side with the person I find who has a heroic spirit."

Yuri was happy to know that this Bell wasn't just a passive waste and nodded in agreement. "Yes, I see it is always good to have your own strength to rely on. Even if you find the person you believe to be the right one he may not be interested in someone who isn't working on bettering themselves."

They continued talking while Yuri didn't forget why she was in the area. She wound up buying Hestia a blue ribbon with gold inlays, Lili she got a new cloak, and Haruhime she got her a new kimono. When she finished making her purchases the two started heading back toward Yuri's home.

As they were walking Bell realized that she didn't know where they were heading. "Where are we going anyway? I just realized that we got to talking and you never told me your destination."

Yuri hearing the question stopped for a moment and realized she hadn't told Bell anything. Realizing this Yuri couldn't help but let out a laugh. "Yeah, I guess I really never said anything did I? Well, to answer your question I was planning on taking you back to my place."

Hearing Yuri's response made Bell stop in her tracks. She turned dark red before saying "I'm sorry I only like you as a friend. I mean don't get me wrong you are extremely pretty and seem really nice. However, I'm not the kind of girl that will do that stuff with someone I just met."

Yuri hearing what the girl just blurted out in the middle of the street stopped. Turning around and looking at Bell she figured she better clear up this misunderstanding fast. "No, I really didn't mean it like that. You see I'm friends with goddess Hestia who at the moment is living with me. She is looking for more famillia members I figured that I could introduce you to her." as Yuri finished she had a pink tinge to her cheeks.

They continued their walk in slightly awkward silence. Both were slightly embarrassed from their previous exchange. After a few minutes, Yuri came to a stop in front of her home. "This is it, this is my house come in, and I will see if everyone else is up."

Yuri opened the door and was immediately slammed into by a black-and-white blur.

After she stopped herself from falling to the ground she looked at what hit her.

Latched around Yuri's waist was a certain energetic goddess looking at her with a pout. Yuri not expecting this welcome was at a loss. "I'm home and I bring gifts."

Hestia had been waiting around the house for Yuri to return. She had unknowingly become fond of the girl who always seemed to bring her joy at every turn. First, it was bringing her famillia members then opening her home to her. Before she realized she had become attached to her.

So when Yuri hadn't come back from her training that first night she had gotten a little anxious. By the time the third night came, she even confronted Hephaestus about her absence. After being told it was to prevent distractions that could hinder her training Hestia folded and decided to wait.

However, after receiving word that the training would conclude last night. She was confused about what was taking Yuri so long to return. So when the girl opened the door without thinking she ran and latched onto the girl. To hide her embarrassment she tried to put on an annoyed look.

" what took you so long Hephaestus told me last night your training would be over."

Hearing this Yuri let out a chuckle before responding. "Well, I kind of figured that with how long I was gone that it was best to bring gifts."

Bell just watched the interaction with an amused smile. She knew that Yuri was part of the Hephaestus famillia however she was so close to another. She also seemed to treat the goddess as a family of sorts.

After calming the over-excited goddess down they entered the house. It wasn't until they were inside that Hestia finally noticed Bell. Looking over at the girl Hestia couldn't contain her curiosity. "Yuri, who is your friend that you brought with you?"

After making introductions Hestia summarized "So this is Bell and after getting her out of a tight spot you brought her here as a prospective member to join my famillia."

Hearing this Yuri confirmed her thoughts. Getting confirmation Hestia agreed after asking Bell a few questions. After settling things, Hestia told Bell that they would perform the ceremony to bestow the falna in a bit. Then turning to Yuri she said, "So what is this about gifts?"

Yuri feeling in a slightly teasing mood stated "Wow what a greedy goddess I have here. I brought her a new famillia member and she wants more. What could be a worthy offering to such a goddess? Could it be animal sacrifice, My firstborn, my body? Oh no, this goddess wants to defile me whatever shall I do?"

Hearing this Hestia turned redder and redder the more Yuri continued. Her innocence showing through. Before Yuri even finished speaking she tried to cover her mouth to stop her. While stuttering out "No I don't need anything else I didn't mean it."

As she looked up at Yuri she noticed the teasing smirk and glint in the girl's eyes. She finally realized she was being teased. With a huff, she turned her head away and pouted out "Mean".

After her teasing, she pulled the gift for Hestia out and handed it to her with a smile. "Here this is for you I hope you like it."

Taking the small box from Yuri she opened the lid and noticed the ribbon inside. She looked at Yuri with a questioning gaze.

Seeing this look Yuri explained "I thought you could use some new ribbons for your hair. When I saw these I thought they would suit you."

Hearing this Hestia gave her thanks and took her hair down and replaced the ribbon immediately. She couldn't contain the smile on her lips and the faint dusting of red on her cheeks.

Seeing how she seemed happy with her gifts Yuri gave a bright smile as she complemented her. "They suit you well I believe I made the right choice in picking it out."

They spent the next hour talking about what happened with Yuri's training, and what Hestia and the girls had been up to while she was gone. It was only then that the other two residents graced them with their presence.

When they came out of their rooms and noticed Yuri was home it was like Deja Vu. As they both seemingly blurred and latched onto the girl who had helped them so much. After giving the girls their gifts which they both seemed to like it was getting close to dinner.

Yuri directed Hestia to take Bell and do the ceremony while she prepared dinner. As they all separated to get things done she could only think it's nice to be home.

Sorry all for the slowed-down updates. however, I don't plan to stop the story anytime soon. but I also don't have as much time at the moment to write. Please be patient with me as I continue to work on the story and as always I hope you enjoy.
