Walking through school on a Monday morning is bad enough as it is. A splitting headache on top of that is the last thing I needed today. Even in my light clothes, I feel hot and tired. Tripping over my own feet in the middle of the hallway, I can tell already this will be a bad day. Hoping to lessen how embarrassing tripping over my feet is, I try to catch myself. My arms go through the floor. Huh? Before I can comprehend what's happening, my whole body is gone, and the only thing I feel is the sensation of falling. The sound of my alarm blaring wakes me up. I reach over and turn it off, groaning in protest. Another Monday. I get up and head out of my room, going down stairs. "Morning Mom." I say as I pass by the table. A picture of my late mother sits on the table, with her and my dad at their wedding.
I make myself an omelet for breakfast, before heading out. As soon as I get outside of my house, my head starts hurting like hell, and I barely stop myself from yelling. "The fuck?" The pain doesn't stop, so I take a Naproxen before heading to school. It doesn't help.
When I finally get to school, the pain recedes a little, but I just fight through it and start walking to class. Half way there, I get distracted, and trip over my own feet. Panicking, I throw my arms out, catching myself before I hit the floor. That's what should have happened, anyway.
Before I even know what's happening, my whole body is through the ground, and nothing but darkness surrounds me. I try to yell, but nothing comes out. I can't even move my body. Or feel anything, either. Before I can try to do anything else, I start falling, and a feint light below me is the only thing I can see.
Stone floors hit my face, hard. Groaning in pain, I sit up, getting my bearings. To my left is a roughly made hallway, covered in moss, with torches placed randomly around on the walls. To my right is a dead end. I stand up slowly, only to fall again.
What? I look down at my legs, still covered in my school uniform. Too covered. Rolling the pant legs up, I see my now shorter legs, with no hair on them. The same thing with my arms. I stand up again, careful not to fall this time.
What happened? I was walking to class, and then I fell through the floor! Why? Where am I? I should make sure I'm safe before I do anything- What if I can't get out? The way up is gone- Will I starve down here? There's nothing but moss- What if- What happened to- Am I going to die here?
I take a deep breath and hold it for as long as possible. By the time I have to breath again, my thoughts calm down, and I take stock of the situation. There's nothing I can do to get back right now, from what I can tell.
I still have my clothes from earlier. I didn't have anything on me, since I didn't have my bag on me. If I need to, I can get by by eating moss, but I hope it doesn't come to that. The most important part is probably what happened to my body. Looking down, I try to gauge how tall I am.
I used to be about 5'10, so I would guess about 5'6? 5'7? Not super short, but it'll take some time to get used to, for sure. The next part is the more concerning bit. A very obvious lack of sensation on a lower part, and a new addition higher up. Not large, for sure, but noticeable, to say the least. As I try to figure out what happened, a sudden sound makes my jump.

My only reaction is a blank stare, before I digest all of the information that was just dumped on me. Well, at least I can confirm I was, indeed, turned into a girl. My name is blank, and my age is weird.
[Artifact Collector]? It doesn't sound very good, to be honest. The only thing I know about where I am is a place called the "Dungeon World", which sounds like the name of a bad video game.
My stats are weird too. STR is strength, DEX is dexterity, CON is constitution, MP is, what, magic? Mana points? LK is luck. I don't get why it's at -1 though. INT is intelligence, which is the highest. Makes sense. I always was smart. Like when... When... Huh?
Pulling up nothing, panic resurges again. Why can't I remember anything?- What happened? Where was I? Where did I live?- Who was I?- What is- When did- I know it happened, but when?- What do I know happened?- I still know everything, but why don't I remember any of it?!-
When I finally force my thoughts back together, I find myself sitting in the corner of the dead end, with tears streaming down my face. Taking a breath again, I stand up and pull myself together. I don't have my memories. I still have my knowledge though.
OK! I still have more to get through. I can't do anything about it, so I'll just live through it. The next stat is all question marks. Next, my Class. The first barrage was mostly about my Class. Reselecting. This would suggest I had a Class before. I don't have my memories, but I know that the only Classes on earth were the ones in school.
Earth? When did I start thinking I was in another world? I guess it would make sense, though. I did fall through the floor before I arrived here. Off topic. I can think about that later. It said my Class was overridden, but the override was canceled, which means this is the Class I supposedly had before.
My skills were locked and replaced, but it doesn't say it got rid of them. I might be able to get them back, whatever they are. Taking a steadying breath before I continue, calming down. I can't have a full break down here. I don't have any safety, and it won't help me at all.
OK! Skill descriptions. Vague at best. I might as well test them out. Focusing on the skill, I try to activate [Artifact Location]. I fell a slight tug towards the only way forwards. Should have expected that.
It seems to work more like a crappy navigation, unless there's an Artifact directly in front of me. I can't test [Trap detection] or [Revelation], so I use [Gauge]. It just says target, not that it has to be an Artifact, or a living thing. Sending the skill at a nearby torch, I get a vague feeling about it.
I can tell the fire isn't normal. It seems to use magic instead of fuel, but it still burns oxygen, albeit, a much smaller amount. The fire is about 500 degrees Fahrenheit, or 260 Celsius. Much colder then a normal fire would be.
Next part. I have a curse. I don't know how normal curses are here, but it doesn't sound good, that's for sure.

That's it? Nothing about what it means to "Bond", or what "Activated" means. It hasn't been particularly helpful so far, but this one is by far the worst. Still, nothing I can do about it. Maybe it's because of my Luck?
