The confessions:

🥀 Please don't take anything Characters say personal. 🖤

You were standing next to Satoru, watching as Utahime ran toward him, her eyes sparkling with excitement. Without hesitation, she wrapped her arms around him, hugging him as if he was someone she'd been waiting to hold for years. The sight burned at your chest, but it wasn't just jealousy—it was confusion and disbelief. Your best friend, Utahime, was hugging your fiancé like he was her own. You stood frozen for a moment before your voice broke the silence.

"What is going on between you two?" You asked, your voice trembling with uncertainty.

Utahime pulled away from Satoru, her lips curling into a smug smile as she turned to face you. "Can't you see?" she said, almost as if she were pitying your ignorance. "I'm here hugging my man."

"Your man?" The words left your mouth in a disbelieving whisper. You felt the rush of heat in your face as doubt clouded your thoughts. "Why? You don't believe he's mine? Let me prove it to you then."

Utahime stepped closer to Satoru and gently cupped his face in her hands, her fingers trailing over his jaw as she smiled seductively. Without another word, she leaned in and kissed him. The kiss was long and intense, and you could see how Satoru's body stiffened. He didn't pull away, though. Instead, his lips responded, pressing back into her kiss like it was nothing more than a casual greeting.

Your breath caught in your throat. "Utahime!" You shouted her name, the fire in your chest growing hotter. You couldn't believe what you were seeing.

Utahime slowly pulled away from the kiss, her lips still glistening. She turned back to you with an expression of mock sympathy. "What? Now that you know what's mine, keep your distance from Satoru Gojo."

A sense of weakness washed over you, and your legs felt like they were about to give out. You clutched the side of the arcade machine for support, but the weight of betrayal was too much to bear. "But... he's my fiancé," you choked out, your voice barely a whisper, full of hurt and confusion.

"Yeah, but does he really love you?" Utahime taunted, her eyes gleaming with arrogance. "You're only engaged because your parents set it up, and you know it. It's not about love; it's about business. And that's something I'm not gonna let slide. Satoru is mine."

The words hit you like a slap to the face. You thought back to everything Utahime had ever said about Satoru, about how she'd once had a small crush on him when you were kids, but that was years ago. She never mentioned anything recent. Your heart pounded painfully in your chest.

"Utahime," you said quietly, your voice breaking. "You're my best friend. How could you do this to me?"

"Oh, please." She scoffed, rolling her eyes and stepping closer, crossing her arms over her chest. "Stop being such a drama queen. Let me tell you why I did it." She tilted her head, watching you with an almost sadistic grin. "I've told you for years that I liked him. But when I overheard your parents talking about that stupid arranged marriage thing at your cousin's birthday party, I knew I had to act fast. So, I went to Satoru and told him how I felt. I didn't care if he rejected me—I had to at least try. And guess what? I got him."

You were in shock, your heart heavy with the realization that she had been lying to you all this time. "But... you know that... this isn't my choice, right? That I have no choice but to marry him?" you said, your voice rising, the emotions overwhelming you.

Utahime's smirk only widened. "Well, that's not my problem," she snapped, uncaring. "I did what I had to do. I couldn't just sit by and watch you two end up together, not when I know I'm the one who really belongs with him. You really think he's yours?" she scoffed. "You're clueless."

You felt a sharp pang of guilt in your chest. The weight of everything she said hit harder than anything you'd felt before. "But... you're my best friend. How could you—"

"Save it," Utahime cut you off, her voice dripping with mockery. "I'm not here for your pity party. You love my man, right? Or maybe you just wanted to keep him because your parents made you think it's your destiny."

Your world felt like it was crumbling. "He's supposed to be my man!" you yelled, frustration and pain rising in your throat.

"No," Utahime said, her voice sharp and final. "He's mine. Always has been."

Satoru, who had been silent behind Utahime the entire time, suddenly spoke up. "Alright, alright," he said, holding up a hand as if to stop the argument. "We could talk this out—"

"Wait, how did this even happen?" you asked, turning to Satoru, your voice desperate. You needed to know. "What happened between you two? It's hard to believe..."

Satoru smiled, a cocky grin on his face. "It's been going on for about four years now. Our anniversary's coming up soon," he added with a wink toward Utahime, who blew him a kiss in return.

"Yeah," he continued, clearly enjoying the situation. "Utahime came to me at that party, confessed, and I rejected her. But she kept at it. I thought she was cute, so I was like, 'Why not?' cause she had curves and was attractive. And here we are." He kissed Utahime's cheek, his words casual and carefree.

Utahime smirked and clapped her hands, looking at you with glee. "Cute, right?" she mocked. "I got him. You can't do anything about it."

Satoru leaned in closer, his gaze drifting over to you. "Unlike her," he said, his words cold. "You seem... innocent, too innocent. You're too pure for me." He chuckled, eyeing your body with obvious disdain. "A real shame, huh? You seem virgin."

The compliment of being called a virgin that is an insult these days stung, but it wasn't as sharp as the betrayal. Everything in your body felt like it was unraveling. You couldn't take it anymore. Without thinking, you walked out the arcade, pulling out your phone and called an Uber, desperate to leave the scene. But before you could get far, Satoru was at your side, grabbing your wrist to stop you.

"Come on, now," he said, trying to soften his tone. "You're pretty too, okay?"

You jerked your wrist away from him, tears already welling in your eyes. "That's not what this is about. I'm hurt. Betrayed. I never thought I'd find myself in this situation, especially with my best friend."

Satoru's face twisted with guilt as you began to break down in front of him, your chest heaving with emotion. "Look, I didn't—"

"You don't need to comfort me," you snapped, pushing him away. "I don't need your fake sympathy."

Back inside the arcade, Utahime was leaning against the table, crossing her arms and watching you through the glass, oblivious to the chaos outside.

Satoru, still worried about you getting into a random car, grabbed your phone and slipped it into his pocket. Without asking, he pulled you into his car, slamming the door shut after you. "I'm driving you home," he said, his voice filled with frustration and something else—guilt?

You didn't respond, staring out the window as he started the engine. The ride was silent, your heart still burning with the betrayal from both your best friend and the man you were supposed to marry. The good thing is that they confessed the truth to you, but in the worst way possible.
