Sensei 30: Bright Hope Under A Thick Blanket Of Despair

[ ~ Chapter • Start ~ ]

"Guhaa-!?" Kouki coughed out in pain just as when he was about to attack the woman in front of them, aka. the one who commanded the monsters. He was punched on the gut by a humanoid mana beast that was as tall as him before he was kicked away to the direction near his classmates while his Limit Break skill was forced off.

They have defeated several tens of monsters already for a while now with a lot of effort to even defeat the strongest ones.

And now, there's powerful humanoid mama beasts that looked straight out of a Sentai show!

Endou, who didn't waste any time, had slipped out of the group without being seen and ran away, hoping to gain reinforcements by convincing the others from above.

Despair was engulfing the group, as they were now forced to split up when a massive snake tried to devour them. In fact, Meld had to make a great sacrifice just to save Kouki, the Hero. Even though he was only knocked unconscious with

The students then held their ground, hoping that somehow, someone might save them while some of them were feeling like they wanted to surrender already to save their own lives in despair and hopelessness.

And then the attacks stopped after a few minutes. Most of the weapons that the students had were broken by the strange humanoid mana beasts, and the students, specifically Kaori and Suzu have successfully made several layers of barriers that surrounded their classmates.

The red haired demon then glared towards the students as she approached them whilst the students all either glared towards her in anger or in fear.

"Hmph. You sound strong, yet here you are, struggling hopelessly like anyone with crippling anxiety. Hahahaha! Oh man, that was just a joke. Anyway, here's a deal: Give up and surrender yourselves to us, or just die here and rot until only your bones remain. If you do surrender, you'll enjoy a life with limited freedom." The woman spoke condescendingly, before offering her hand towards the students.

The students and knights that heard this had tensed, even Kouki had tensed the most, with his grip on his Divine Sword becoming tighter as he pointed it towards the red haired woman whilst kneeling down and grabbing his stomach inside the barrier his classmates made. He believed he was right, of course. Even with the injuries that were currently being healed by Kaori, he wasn't sure if he could actually win this.

No, he needed to get up and fight, for his classmates and mostly for his childhood friend, Kaori. All of them needed him right now, if he dies, then humanity will definitely fall!

He would never give up right here.

However, it seems like most of his classmates were arguing if they should just surrender or not, turning the atmosphere into a more chaotic one.

Eri Nakamura wasn't sure if she would be fine right now, but the chaos that erupted all around her made her eyes widen in silence.

".... I..... No... It's just like that time....." Eri muttered as she started reminiscing her past. The chaos that happened was too similar to when her drunk former "parents" shouted to each other for a long time and she just observed and listened.

"Hey! Our lives are at stake here! What else can we do now?!" One of the students shouted to his classmate, who harshly replied.

"And we're just going to betray the ones who summoned us?! This world's humanity's lives are at stake here!"

Eri knew they were all going to die anyway. If they surrendered, then they'll just be slaves, something she started to completely dislike. She accepted that only a bad end will come for them anyways.

".... Sensei, I want to feel that warmth again." Without realizing, her head had lowered down enough for her glasses to fall down to the rocky ground and have the glass crack on impact and revealed a melancholic expression.

She looked around, and saw that Kouki shouted something to the woman that commanded those mana beasts and recklessly ran outside the barrier.

".... What a foolish, hopeless idiot." Her one-sided vision of Kouki had already been removed under "that" event. Therefore, she was just indifferent towards the "Hero".

Kouki gained a new powerup, yet as expected, it was just purely hopeless as he was outnumbered by the amount of intelligent man beasts who used a spell to immediately break the powerup Kouki Amanogawa has.

And then, he was slammed to the ground with his back facing the ceiling of this Labyrinth's floor.

"Lousy fucker. Beat the shit out of him, break him apart, and then make him realize that all he has done was for naught!" The red haired demon commanded as she crossed her arms under her breasts, all whilst shaking her head in utter disappointment.

A few humanoid mana beasts gathered around Kouki as he began to be ruthlessly kicked, pummeled, and beaten down on the ground without giving him time to catch a break.

All while he screamed in agony as his armor started to be dented, bruises started forming around his body, and his bones were at the verge of breaking. His classmates were unable to help as other mana beasts started to attack the barrier Kaori and Suzu made.

That was until several arcs of energy hit the mana beasts that were starting to attack them and even Kouki, making them explode.

The red haired demon, the mana beasts, and the students (except Kouki, who was in a state of pain) looked towards direction where the blast came from.

Several figures, seven of them then appeared out from the shadows where the Hero Party came from as each of them looked really familiar.

"They're...." One of the students spoke out in a daze, a little stunned by the figures' appearances.

"Taeko-san? Aikawa-san? There's even Yukitoshi-san there, but what happened to them?!" The former boy who was now a Loli, named Daisuke Hiyama shouted out, pointing at their figures that have changed since the last time they saw each other.

For once, Shimizu Yukitoshi no longer has eyebags and his skin has become less pale, Noboru also became a little more muscular in shape, while the girls have gained a growth spurt on their assets.

However, something was on their hands that eerily looked like Transformation Devices.

"Everyone. Let's do this." Shimizu spoke, as his group of transforming teenagers nodded in unison.

The red haired demon, Cattleya even took note of the said artifacts, feeling something strange from them as the male students put the said artifacts on their waists.

{ Driver Set! } A voice was heard towards those artifacts that the male students had as they became buckle belts.

"What are you doing!? Stop them before something bad happens!" Cattleya commanded when the students started posing, as the fastest of the mana beasts started to immediately try to approach the teenagers.

Yet....

"Henshin!" The male students shouted as their belts activated by sending out a cyclone forwards and began forming their full body armor in under an entire second, blowing away the mana beasts that came too close.

The girls twirled their transformation devices a few times before raising them up together in the air, and then yelled.

"Jewel Open!"

And that is how Cattleya started to feel that she's going to have a bad time.
