Village and its Rules

× AN. This chapter is just going to be the rules of the village and things like how to get entry into the village. Also I'm going to be switching between Lillian's pov and Ariel's pov a lot, maybe every other chapter ×

[Lillian pov]

Today Ariel came back with another group of girls, as usual they looked scared and they couldn't talk. Ariel gave me their names and I registered them and gave them name tags. When I finished explaining to them where they're at and giving them a tour I left to check on my son.

There are no men in the village the only guys are boys that where born in the village. Ariel developed multiple systems one of them is for people to come in and out of the village.

1. You can leave if you want to but you can only come back three times.

2. If you want to bring someone into the village they have to be approved by Ariel.

3. You can only be permitted into the village if you are registered as a villager or if you're accompanied by Ariel.

4. You can't tell anyone about the existence of the village.

No one breaks the rules because Ariel is the one who saved all of us, and life in our village is better than the life we used to live. She respects our wishes as well and allows for us to leave at any time as well.

Ariel also has a system for food and we don't use money because it's irrelevant, except for things that need to be delt with outside of the village.

1. Everyone without a job is required to help with gardening at least once a week.

2. A quarter of the food will be stored for a later time such as winter.

3. You may take what you need for dinner but leave some for others.

4. Fishing is only allowed once every two weeks. In winter it's allowed three times a week.

5. Hunting is permitted as long as it's not too close to the village.

There's also a school where Ariel teaches the kids two times a week, because she doesn't live with us the classes are long, but the kids learn a lot so there are no problems.
