On the fifth day of the 10000th cycle since the founding of the intergalactic republic, a human boy was sentenced to cerebral incarceration. This was according to the laws of the Appal, a race of spherical-bodied creatures with bipedal features, long necks, and singular eyes. The Apeal were a slave race of Delino, humanoid creatures that closely resembled humans but had reptilian scales on their backs and forelimbs, and four joints on their hindlimbs. In their juvenile form, they looked like humans.

The boy was accused of defiling the royal princess of the Delino race. He pleaded innocent, but according to the galactic law, the accused must pass through the hands of the victim race's laws unless the issues pertain to racial threats.

"What do you have to say for yourself?" the head judge of the council asked the boy.

The boy looked up, then faced back down. "Hmm, so you accept that you defiled the royal princess?" the judge asked.

"What? No, I didn't," the boy replied.

"So it wasn't you with the princess at the sacred grounds where you two climbed atop the statue tree?" the judge asked.

The boy looked down, unsure of what to say.

"I assume I am correct," said the judge.

The boy looked up and replied, "Yes, and what of it?" The crowd gasped in response. "What's wrong with climbing a tree?" the boy continued.

"Nothing," said another judge, "but the issue is what you did. You took a fruit from the tree, divided it into two, and ate one half, then gave the other half to the princess, which in our culture means intimacy." The boy looked down, feeling the gravity of the situation. "The council has decided to strip you of your being," the judge concluded.

As guards approach him and take him away his mother comes close but gets pushed away the boy gets strapped onto a table face down as needles go into him. A girl with silver hair runs into the chamber but gets held back as the boy's mother is stopped from going into the chamber tears stream down her face as the girl the boy takes a last look at the two as the abys takes over
