Chapter 49: Encounter Of The Evil

"What?" Elena couldn't believe what she heard.

After a long time, it happened again.

"Believe us, milady! He was worse than before!" One woman exclaimed as she trembled in the sudden reminiscent of that horrible memory. It was oddly vivid.

One woman tried comforting her by embracing her and shoving her in her arms. "It's true, milady. Ambroz was worse than before. He had horns and scales. I thought it was long forgotten about how he was misunderstood as a pervert imbecile, but what was that? What sort of a being was it? What creature touches the soul of that man?" She panicked as she stroked the hair of the one woman.

Elena was speechless. How should she explain? That Ambroz was back to his curse? She long did plan out for a time like this to happen. But, there is this feeling of sudden anxiousness. As if something was blocking her.

Blocking her from her spells.

"You ought to not panic. What you saw should be left in a sheer silence for now." She advised and went on with a bunch of books. Gave it a read.

"And then what, milady? Let that man shred into something treacherous? We were just too young back then but now that our old folks have told us about him. Our kindness is forsaken. Death is a scary one." She almost cried when uttering those words. "Milady, are we going to die?"

Elena looked at her and was instantly worried. "No, we are not going to die. Even if there is always an occurrence such as this, you should rely on us. Whether living or dying, it's not now, ladies. Not in our era." She exclaimed and opened one of her books. Inflicted her hand within the chapters of it trying to find something. "You should head home and rest. Ambroz will be fine, he will be f—" before Elena could ever finish her sentence, a loud roaring noise from afar was heard along with an explosion.

The women who are with her widened their eyes in terror as they roam their heads above trying to process if what they heard was true. And to comprehend it to their hearing was just another roar, this time it was more ravaging and full of wrath.

The first thing that went on with Elena's head was her daughters then the people. She did not panic ad the calmness in her manner is confusing the women.

"Go! Go tell the people to abandon their houses. Remember the other route to Ganord's village? Head here first!" She instructed them with emphasis.

The women left without hesitation and followed as she said. She then head to their dwelling, which was the hut beside her current place. Seeing how her daughters panic, she is afraid of what will happen if she steps on the wrong path of her decisions.

"What was that, mother? What were those cacophony?" Lyzelle then asked with worry in her eyes.

Elena used her spells with her pale fingers, she touch Lyzelle's forehead and with that spell was the magic to explain what was happening and what will they do.

Lyzelle then reacted as air puffed out of her mouth. Her eyes turned fearless and serious. She knew what was happening. Every inch of knowledge was also copied into her mind by her mother.

Elena had to do it. If not, then who would know about the future.

Lyzelle turn her gaze to her child that was newly born and kiss it on the forehead. Whispering something such as, "Mother loves you."

Elena waited for her and while she did, somehow there was a bit of doubt in her heart. She knows about Ambroz turning into a dragon would soon be promised in the world again. But, with friends and evildoers reviving one by one? They were far, still, but the tension was near.

Lyzelle went closer to her. Soon after Zynthia appeared.

"Mother, there are humongous ships coming towards the land. What shall we do? And, Ambroz... He..." She almost panicked but remained her posture.

"I know what he is, darling, you need to be strong. We all have to."

"But, what is your plan mother? Father is already helping the people get out of the village. Some of the are on the run, what about us? Mother, you have never told us anything about our strengths. The cursed creature and all of the other things. What do we have to do?" Zynthia arched her brows and displayed her palms as if conveying her emotions to it.

"Mother, I have only peak at one of your books. Sought through and attempted to understand it. Usual turn of events and I have come to know it. I did not think about it, but what is our purpose?" Lyzelle seconded to Zynthia's motion.

On the other hand, Elena. Instead of worrying and being afraid like how she did a while back. She plastered a smile and gather her daughters in her arms. "Our purpose, we have all along been doing it. It's to cure people and cure the world. We all have a place to fall into, but this world is too beautiful to be cruel. We, as descendants of the flawless creations. We shall fix it. No matter what." With her eyes closed, she lit up the light back to her heart.

And then at that moment, everything was alright.

"No matter what happens tonight, it is all for the purpose of our existence."

Not long after, Bergen, Ganord, and Hayden appeared behind them. The embrace was broken and split to all of them. All of them accepted that fight as they surround each other.

Bergen looked at his wife and was so proud of her. She never regretted loving this being, never once never will. Her kindness served as a personality, her love was his hope, and her beauty was his abstract mind drowning into. Nevertheless, he would die for her and with her.

Ganord and Hayden did not know about what of a strong bond the family had. However, they never fail to also come to love that mystery bond. It was that bond that brought them together.

Hayden looked at Lyzelle in the eyes as she did the same. Lyzelle smiled softly, there were trembling to it but was bright and raw, striking his heart.

"Won't you stay with me, My love?" Lyzelle asked.

"I will, whenever and wherever." He replied and kissed the woman on the forehead.

Upon this sweet moment, a loud bang rendered the surface and the people who were still there made a huge fuss as they panicked, trying to get out of the house.

Lyzelle instinctively went back inside the hut and collected her son, she carried him with gentleness and was particularly careful. Then she heads out.

Elena then instructed, "Lyzelle and Zynthia, my dear, go with the people. Head to the other side and to Ganord's land. It is less penetrated and would not be easily found. I will fix this." She then turns to her husband Bergen. "My love, follow them and guide them out."

Bergen made a firm decision, looking at Ganord, and Ganord just nodded. "My love, I will stay with you. Even after saying lovely thoughts about our purpose. Do you truly think I would leave you behind? This is not just your fight. This is ours."

"But—"

"No buts, mother. I now understand who I truly am and it is not only to cure but to fix this world. So, I shall stay and be with this feud. Not only as your eldest but as a white witch." Lyzelle exclaimed and handled her son to Zynthia who looked confused then. Hayden pressed his eyes close as he tapped his chest trying to calm it.

Elena sighed. Well, she can not persuade someone who's persistent.

"W-wait, sister, if you'll stay. Then I should too!" Zynthia contradicted.

Lyzelle shush-ed her and pointed at her son. "No, sister. If someone has to go with them, it's you. After all, you will lead these people with Ganord by your side."

"How about my purpose as a white witch?" She asked.

"Dear, you already are doing that purpose by helping the people find their path towards safety. For now, you should go, we don't have enough time." Elena persuaded her.

Zynthia continuously shook her head. Tears came down from her eyes. She knows where this is going and it is shattering her heart. There is no way she can leave them here for so many years. She just can't. Her emotions and mind are not letting her.

Elena hugged her. "Don't cry, you will always have us till then."

Lyzelle hugged her as well. "Take good care of my son, sister. From now on, you are his loving mother. I both love you very much."

"Now go. Find the freedom within our tribe."

Since Zynthia was still struggling. As she cried, her husband, Ganord held her and they both strayed away.

It was hard but they all knew it was to be done. Lyzelle looked at her mother. "Let's go do that purpose, mother."

Ravyn was on edge as she was standing on the ship. Mad furious looking at the land that was the whole reason for her body to be frozen still for years, decades, and centuries. Now she's back and thriving.

Her hatred and treacherous laugh blurted out all of a sudden as she instructed Novak's men to attack the land with their weapons and the explosions she made only for this day to arrive so fast.

"Get that blades rolling and attack! Why are you men just standing there while gripping your useless junks!" She shouted and veins started bulging on her neck and head.

The men were terrified but one had to stand up. "We're not taking orders from you. You're not our master. You should be thankful you're in this ship or that flesh of yours will still be drowning on that foul ocean!"

And she snapped, "What did you say?"

All of them took a step back and whispered at each other's ears how no one has to speak up.

"Well, y-you heard me, I said what I needed to say. Are you deaf or what?" One responded.

"Did you see what I did to your fellow lad? What excruciating pain they must have felt, didn't they? I swallowed their souls, creating a void strength, adding up to my strength so that I could slaughter more of one's kind." As she insanely utter this, her feet was bringing her closer to this man. "Or do you want to feel it yourself?"

The man gulped and glared at her. "W-why s-should you do t-that? E-ever thought if what might master do to you? T'was just your mere luck. You won't ever be able to do i-it."

"Oh, you dare I do, knucklehead." Her eyes widened and tried frightening them.

"Silence," Novak interrupted with his thick but vivid one. "It appears that you remained sanguine on imploring your own orders around my army, Ravyn. Don't you ever forget who clasp you back to the surface? Know your place." He spoke up from the gore of his lungs to the walls of his throat, he does not like someone who goes above him nor someone who thinks as if they are more powerful than him.

"Of course," Ravyn replied as she inflicted grimace on the said men.

Don't think all of you can just do this to me. Wait for my time and all of you men will be crashed into the despair of your deaths.'

Even after Novak address the conflict, the men can still feel the rage haranguing through her head. As if there were black smoke surrounding the woman.

"Now, let us wait for this dragon before we could ever cross their borders. I'm sure their faces would be entertaining to watch." Novak put his hand on each other as the edge of his lips lifted. "Shouldn't it be out knowing you activated the curse again?"

"I did, but this man is persistent. It takes a few jiffies for it to giveup to the form. Still, we need to attack."

"No, we shall wait." He firmly disagrees with her.

Ravyn shook her head in disbelief. Why is this man seems as if he has lost a screw in some part of his brain? He seems to be too threatening and ominous but he actually is just a coward in distress.

"Don't you think those people are probably escaping by now? I don't mean to seem rude to you, but are you sure we should wait? You won't be getting your killing prophecy if you keep on sitting on your chair." She tried to provoke him.

And the man gave her a hard stare. Competitive she is, she never backed off. Instead, Ravyn met those eyes with a blank expression. If this man thinks he is someone who is submissive, she must prove him wrong.

"Very well, then. Let us use your method for starters. If this won't go to plan and if the goddess interferes with it, I dare you won't ever see the prospect of your own wake. Do you understand?" He stood up and pointed at her face.

She seductively held his finger and place it down. "I have my wits for a reason and this goddess won't ever wake up." She conjectured to her own notions.

The last time that the goddess interfere was because her land was destroyed. But, if this land wouldn't go black bath, she reckoned everything will go well, just as she planned.

"I don't like guesses, Ravyn. Gave me a stone answer."

"I assure you she won't. There're white witches upon this land, if that goddess even dares to trust those filthy twats, then she must be on the loose. You should know about this, don't you think? It is a matter of knowledge to settle on your fights. This feud would never be a success if not for me." She then went to the men and started instructing them, ordering about the explosions.

An army of men looked up to Novak for approval, with just one nod they all went moving.

And then there, they dominated the land. One by one with Ravyn's strength, she used her spells to fly them off into the air. With this, they would arrive less long and more strongly. The men were awestruck by the sudden lift of the ship while Novak kept his composure.

"Well aren't you a bunch of youngsters. Now you see what I am capable of. Soon after you'd be thunderstruck by the power I have." She whispered and sneered.

Novak looked at her from behind. 'What an odd woman.'

Elena and Lyzelle saw the huge ship flying towards their village. Still, there were people running around. What's even worse was the dragon almost approaching them. They can feel the strong wind brought by it and the shaking of the ground.

"Mother, is it really the right decision to be standing here? Are we not supposed to be killing them?" Lyzelle asked.

Hayden who was slightly trembling nodded, "More sleek technique, I suppose?"

"We are not here to kill them. That is not our purpose. I know this Ravyn and she has her weakness. We just need to target the weakness. I believe this can still end well." She explained.

"And if not, my love?" Bergen asked.

Elena was silenced for a while before she started talking once again. "Then we will do this the hard way."

"Aren't you afraid of what this dragon would do? He's not in his natural self? His head is manipulated. He could kill us all, mother." Cried Lyzelle.

But, Elena was rigid towards her confidence. She was hopeful that her spells won't fail her. She has long reserved her power, since the ornament is now safe under her daughter, Zynthia's hands, she was trusting her so much to the point that she thinks everything would come to its end one day.

"He wouldn't kill us and if he did try to, don't you ever forget to trust my hands. You understand?" She finally answered.

Somehow, Lyzelle calmed down. But then, they felt a huge presence from their back, a huge shadow covered the moonlight and from the looks of it.

"I-it's him," Lyzelle whispered as she shuddered.

"Don't move," Elena advised.

The dragon halted and pulled as much hair as he could before letting out the strongest roar he had. They all received it and after that, they turned to face the angry dragon. Its bright vermillion eyes begged for their presence but the body failed to give in to the emotions.

"Stay behind my back!" Elena shouted.

Bergen and Hayden followed. While Lyzelle stood beside her. "I believe with proper focus, I can also do this, mother."

Elena smiled and made a stance, putting her hand out front and with proper focus, she closed her eyes and whispered gibberish words. "You appalled to this length, your flames would lose their strength!" Uttered inside her head.

The dragon was supposed to throw flames on their flesh but a bright white light flash out of both Elena's and Lyzelle's hands and the flames faded away.

"Now, we shall keep our distance!" Elena shouted to them.

They stepped back while the white witches' hands were still on their move. Ready to block each fire. The dragon placed interest in their being and so it did throw flames over and over again. Then, it decided to fly- stretching its dark wings trying to be one with the air. He was containing the fire formulating inside him and will soon after ready to blow.

Lastly, Ravyn and Novak's army came and they all dropped to the ground like animals who came out of their cage for the first time. They were crazy enough to make horrible noises.

Elena saw Ravyn and her taunting eyes. She was from above the ship and staring at Elena below, standing on the land.

"You shall give up and accept your death! You can never win over us, white filthy creations!" Ravyn exclaimed.

Elena heard it very clearly, her voice filled the horrendous ground. It appears she knows her existence. Elena never thought to see another of their kind. When all she thought was that evil witches in this land were long gone. Her hunches were wrong after all or someone might have called her for this. Right, when Elena was thinking about it, she saw Novak and it all made sense now.

"It's a former disciple from the heavens. He is trying t give in to vengeance. This isn't right, why this land when Aranyani's guarding it? There must be something going on." She said to herself.

"My love, you should focus on our fight right now, don't you think?" Bergen intruded her reveries.

"You're right, pardon me."

The dragon then blasted fire and Elena did the same thing as she did a while back. "You appalled to this length, your flames would lose their strength!"

Ravyn groaned and gripped the grills.

"You should be the one to end and give up, Ravyn. You were just as same as us. We are all creations of the same creator. Dominating the land and doing such an evil thing to people? What is it that you want to achieve?" Elena shouted back.

"Don't you dare speak to me, you know nothing about what I went through! All because of this sorcery I was born with!" Ravyn shouted back.

"It doesn't have to be like this."

"Oh, but it does. And you're too late because this dragon is for us to manipulate. Ruling this land and no one should ever stop us." Ravyn exclaimed and laughed devilishly.

"You can never do that. Aranyani would never approve of your doings. This will soon come to an end." Elena used another of her spells to block another fire.

"Gladly end yours first!" Ravyn retort.

"Quit your blabber and slaughter them already." Novak interfered.

So, Ravyn had to go down and face the woman herself. While the men attacked Hayden and Bergen, along with Lyzelle who was still struggling to focus on her spells, however, it was not a problem as she knows her way around swordsmanship and combat. She mastered it without difficulties occurred.

"Hmm, now I can murder you at a short distance. Don't you think throwing you now for exile would be more interesting? If you just did not step into this land. None of this could have happened." Ravyn fouled her with such irony to her words.

"I have come here because I know everything that happened. And you along with your mother did the wrong here." Elena contradicted.

"Let's quit it, aye? My mother and I are two separate beings. I was never under her and I will surpass her. Just what I am doing right now."

She began to summon various spells that even Elena herself had a hard time blocking. Indeed, evil sorcery is such an impact not only on humanity but on the heavens. They fought and fought until Novak went down and used his strength to pin down Bergen and Hayden.

However they swing their swords, Novak swiftly avoids them and hits them making that part of their body numb. Novak took odd-looking knives from his long coat and threatened to stab them on either Bergen's neck or Hayden's stomach.

Elena got worried as she saw them struggling. And it was added when Lyzelle was beaten by men from the opposition. She was then held, her hands were gripped from the back.

"Don't you dare touch my daughter!" Elena screamed.

Ravyn laughed as you rejoice in her mad look. "Guess flawless creations aren't that less of a flaw." She sneered. "What are you gonna do? It all ends here now."

Novak stabbed the knife into Hayden's stomach making him vomit blood. Lyzelle witnessed it and she cried while shouting for, "No! No! No!"

Elena widened her eyes in anxiety. She could not keep her calm. And it was only a matter of a second till Novak would pierce Bergen's neck, but instead of struggling. Bergen never did, he even shouted the words that Elena never would have ever thought in that panic state.

"Do it! Do it, Elena, my love!"

Then at that point, Elena flashbacks to the conversation between her and Bergen when they were still on other lands. Way before they even had their daughters. They were new lovers.

It was about a strong spell she could cast for something that she could even fade into this world and go back to her creator. With this spell, she could blow someone as far as she can, stop the current evil sorcery and can also bring along with her— 'people' in this world. Perhaps, one may think it is impossible but it is not for her. Either her strength and power would transfer to somebody, it's her choice. This is risky as one's own life is put to a hurdle of the journey.

But what can she do? This is her purpose. She has to do it or else nothing will happen.

As men kept beating her daughter, Hayden's struggling body and the smile on Bergen's face all put together gave her more strength to continue it.

She has decided.

As she closed her eyes and focused, this is where she built up all of her veins vigor, power, and hidden witchcraft.

"What are you doing?"

She heard Ravyn ask but she did not reply. As she opened her eyes, it was smoky white and no hues were in it.

Ravyn was flabbergasted by it as the whiteness was bright.

Then all of a sudden, a powerful blow was generated. Her voice changed to deep and baritone almost as if it was a God.

"You shall disperse your treachery, fly to the depths of the sea, and thus should follow me. This spell remembers your ears and all is set done. Disappear!"

Those were the exact words she uttered and a bright light came out of her hands. So bright it was blinding. Bergen closed his eyes and accepted the pierce on his neck, Lyzelle gave in to all the beating, and Hayden rested.

And then after that, all went black. Ravyn and Novak were thrown out. As for Elena, Bergen, Lyzelle, and Hayden, their bodies disappeared.

The dragon changed back to its form as a human and Ambroz was back in his cave.

The people who were alive and breathing from another part of the land felt the blow.

Suddenly, Zynthia cried as she held Theon in her arms. Ganord worriedly embrace her, who was also carrying Eliaz- their son.

"Everything is alright, darling." Ganord comforted.

Zynthia shook her head multiple times.

"No, Ganord. They're all gone."

Till then, the night came to dawn as the silence engulf the surrounding. People mourn with the four's death and disappearance (Zynthia shared what she felt within their bond) and all only accepted it as they witness the forest dimmed through the smoke.

A lot has happened, but now, it's up to Zynthia to pursue the aftermath of the future.

END.
