03. The new treatment

''Aisa. I had the strangest dream ever in my life. You know I like playing games and at first, I thought I had this dream because of my gaming. But however, I look it is not.'' She sighed as Aida stared at her.

''Mother, breathe in and calm down.'' Emma sometime hyperventilates when she becomes overly excited. ''Now tell me your dream... slowlyyy.''

''I... Even I feel that dream is too crazy but it feels so real.'' She started using her hands to explain the meaning.

Suddenly she turned to Aisa with a face full of determination as she nibbled on her lip. She breathed deeply as she spilled the unbelievable words. ''I dreamed about Zombie Apocalypse.''

Aisa just blinked at her. Emma got worried that the child didn't understand so she slowly took her hands and looked at her eyes while saying it again.

''I, your mother, have dreamed that zombie apocalypse will start in three months.''

Aisa nodded and then blinked at her and then smiled. ''Mother is worried about that?''

Emma coudlnt believes how calm this child is. ''Yes.''

Aisa's face just was calm to the point of indifference as she uttered her new sentence. ''I wondered why didn't it start before. With all those sicknesses going around, it is a wonder that it didn't happen a long time ago.''

This fact Emma already knew. It was really a wonder that such a thing didn't happen before.

''I will find save heaven and won't let your father in.'' She straightforwardly blurted it out.

Aisa's face lit up. ''Fine. I even know what to tell him so we don't need to see him for the next three months.''

Emma looked at her and blinked.

''Just tell him you need to take me to some clinics to check new developed medicines and treatments. He will not even try to come near, especially if he has enough money to travel around.''

She went straight to the point knowing that her mother would be hurt. But better one big pain then continuously someone giving you bits of pain until the end of your life.

Emma hugged her daughter and remembered something. ''Actually, they found a new treatment for your sickness. It is indeed still in the testing period but dr. Stavros is sure it will definitely work. I want to make an appointment and start with the treatment as soon as possible.''

Aisa knew that her mother wouldn't even try to give her some strange medicine if she was not sure so she agreed. While she put clothes on Emma called dr. Stavros and made an appointment right away.

Aisa came in prepared and seeing mother's face filled with shine she knew that appointment went well.

Emma changed her clothes into a simple t-shirt and jeans and then she slipped into white sports shoes while she jumped into her car and drove fast to the clinic.

On her way, Emma let the windows down trying to breathe as much fresh air as she could. ''Aisa, let's go to the sea and swim before all this happens.''

Aisa smiled brightly at her. Luckily the summer break started the day before so no one will feel it odd that the two off them just disappeared.

They arrived at teh clinic quite fast and the whole team with dr. Stavros waited for them with a smile.

''You must feel anxious a bit right?'' he trie dto joke with Emma but she was a bag full of jitter as she waited for his conclusion.

''I won't take this long. We have new medicine and we are quite sure it will work. But there is always variable how the body will react to the medicine.'' He took the bottle and took just one pill out of the whole package.

''Just one?'' She felt deflated.

He knew her well and just joked around with her. ''Well it is indeed one, but it is worth tens of millions on the research of material. I think this is the most expensive pill in the world.''

He winked at Aisa and chuckled while looking at the woman that spaced out again.

Emma snapped back and help his hand with a big smile. ''If this works out, I...'' She stopped as he raised his hands.

''Stop. You invested already so much money into this. We are truly grateful and so will be people that will be able to use this medicine to cure this sickness completely.'' They were grateful to this woman as she invested immeasurable wealth only to cure her daughter.

''Don't say it. This will help other people as well. After all, I invested money into this. I might earn some as well.'' Now her fear was gone and she could joke again a little bit.

Soon things will change. She sighed and choose to tell him about his dream. But he just laughed it out and pointed her fear of losing a child.

''People often dream about monsters in times of distress and fear. Just relax. Aisa, come let us use this medicine.'' He slipped the pill into the syringe then infused it with dissolution agents and then when it dissolved gave her shot.

Aisa expected to be painful, but to her wonder, she felt only a slight stitch on her skin and nothing else.

A moment later dr.Stavros blinked at her and with a playful voice, he acted scared. ''So scary. The needle is thaaaat long.''

Actually he used the tiniest needle and his hand was quite skilled so it was no wonder she couldn't feel any pain.

They laughed at his antics for a while, while waiting for she would show any contraindications to the medicine.

Dr.Stavros actually was relieved. No indication of any discomfort was a good starting sign. ''Let her come here in a week and then in a month. If everything goes well after the third shot she will be completely safe.''

They agreed and left his office. Emma smiled brightly and stunned the surrounding people.

Unfortunately for that husband of hers, he never made her happy enough to show her real face. The one of a happy person that shines brightly and makes everyone feel happiness as well...
