Eventually, Persephone accepted Rael's Gray Crystal and began absorbing it.

A few moments later, some changes seemed to be occurring inside and outside her body, not only did her hair grow by one or two centimeters, but her skin also seemed to be more luscious than before.

'She seems to be undergoing a transformation just like I did, would everyone go through something like this?'

'Or is there a possibility that we would be fundamentally changed after a few more transformations; and lose our humanity?'

Rael was deep in though, barely getting out of his daze when he felt Persephone was in front of him.

She looked different from before, even her aura changed a little, and her appearance too, she was looking more beautiful than ever.

Speechless after hearing Persephone say that, Rael shook his head and started walking forward.

"Let's go already, we don't have time to lose."

Despite the fact that Persephone thought like that, she happily hopped towards Rael with a smile on her face.

"Do we have a direction we should follow, or are we moving aimlessly?" Cutely tilting her head, Persephone asked.

She seemed to think that Rael didn't have a plan.

A few hours later, Rael stopped walking, this was because he spotted something ahead of them.

"What is it? Why did you stop?" Even though she asked that, Persephone was whispering the entire time.

She realized that Rael wouldn't stop just for the sake of it, there must be something ahead that made him do that.

Rael didn't respond back, he only gazed ahead of him, behind a tree, before shouting, "Come out! I can smell you from kilometers!"

"Eww..." Persephone couldn't help but frown in disgust.

'Does Rael have such a sense of smell?'

Pondering for a bit, Persephone wasn't sure about that, so she quickly abandoned that train of thoughts, focusing instead on what unfolded before her eyes.

"Kekeke... What do we have here? A hero and a princess? Brothers, come and take a look at the goods!"

From behind the tree Rael looked at earlier, a burly middle aged man walked out.

He called for his 'brothers', and four other men came out of hiding.

Expecting to see Rael and Persephone beg for mercy or make a run for it, the burly man was surprised to see that they didn't move at all.

In fact, the girl seemed to be smiling in his direction.

'Stupid fools, not taking the chance while you had it. Instead of calling me out, you should've ran away.'

"Big brother, can I have the first taste of the girl?! I promise I won't break her!" One of them who looked to be close to his 20s wore a lustful expression as he said this.

"Haha! The young ones are so excited these days."

"Indeed, little Five is so arrogant. Even last time, it was only after cutting that girl's fingers that he broke her!"

"Bahaha!"

The group made jokes and laughed as they approached the 'frozen from fear' Rael and Persephone.

"Kid, better strip naked and watch as we have our way with your girlfriend."

'Such scums! I guess it's karma that they managed to encounter me and Rael out of everyone out there...'

"I bet this kid will probably like it."

"No! I bet he would even begin to mast-"

The last man couldn't finish his words, he was the closest person to Rael; thus, when his throat was grabbed by him, he couldn't speak anymore.

"Annoying trash..."

Crack!

Suddenly strengthening his grip, Rael found it fairly easy to break the man's neck. With a casual wave of his hand, he tossed the body aside.

Everything happened so quickly and smooth, that they couldn't even react.

The companions of the man stood rooted in their spots, they couldn't believe what they just saw.

"You have big mouths for being such weaklings. Well, you may have some White Crystals on you, so I can forgive your sins after I kill you."

"There's also the Achievement Points!" Persephone kindly reminded Rael, she didn't want to be close to such filthy humans, so she was willing to let Rael do the killing.

"Oh! That's right. Thanks for reminding me this, Perse." Rael was happy, he almost forgot about the Achievement Points that he would receive for killing these guys.

'Guess I'll cement my number one position even further.' Thinking so, Rael prepared to go and kill the four people.

"Wait! Young man... You don't want to do this!"

"That's right! You may be strong, but there are more of us! The result is still unknown, and you may lose your life."

Feeling amused by their pleas, Rael grinned as he shook his head.

"If you don't want to fight, then just let me take your lives." Barely finishing his words, Rael dashed forward, his sword was already equipped as he slashed at the first man that he saw when they got here.

With a swift motion, the man fell down to the ground with a hideous wound that went from his stomach to his face.

Not stopping there, Rael continued and arrived in front of another man, doing the exact same thing.

The other two people, the young man who wanted to have his way with Persephone first, and another tall man; quickly took out their weapons and tried to take Rael by surprise.

'He's dead for sure!' That's what their expressions seemed to say.

Unfortunately, a black shield of chaotic energy appeared at that moment, completely blocking their attacks.

"What?!" They both shouted at the same time, not believing what happened.

Rael was already used to cast Entropic Shield, so he didn't even need to look where to place it; especially since his battle sense was on another level compared to the two people.

Without even a glance, he executed a backward thrust with his sword, piercing the chest of the tall man.

This only left the young man, he was currently trembling after seeing Rael's menacing gaze looking at him.

"You were the most confident person here, where did your arrogance go? I swear that those like you completely disgust me."

Saying so, Rael suddenly smiled wickedly at the young man, giving him goosebumps.

For a while, screams filled that part of the forest, even scaring some powerful beasts into hiding.

When Persephone looked back at Rael, she also shuddered a bit, remembering what he did.

'He tortured that man in unimaginable ways before killing him. Was it because he said those things about me?'

Unknowingly, Rael scored a few more points in Persephone's mind.
