Chapter 46 - Choosing Path

Xue Er looked at Kiel with gratitude, she finally had something to eat.

Soeyoon look at Kiel suspiciously, why did he seemed to know this, and asked:

"Master, what else can we do?"

Kiel blankly looked at her and shrugged:

"To be honest, I don't know why don't you try?"

"System, I want a quiver full of arrows."

The system ignored her and nothing happened.

Xue Er in turn tried:

"System, I want cupcakes,"

Nothing happened.

"Try to be specific, as in type and quantity?"

Kiel encouraged.

Xue Er nodded and tried again:

"System, I want 5 strawberry cupcakes,"

5 strawberry cupcakes appeared in front of her with a burst of sparkles and the cupcakes looked so good.

Soeyoon pouted:

"Why are Master's and Bing Xue's requests fulfilled but mine rejected?"

Kiel put on a contemplating looks then say:

"Try asking for your favourite drink."

Soeyoon obliged:

"System, I want a bottle of chilled Riesling"

A burst of sparkle and the chilled bottle of Riesling appeared in front of her.

The crowd surrounding them were in uproar and everyone started to shout for food and drink items.

The hall was soon filled with glowing flashes of light and soon the smell of food and drinks started to spread everywhere.

The sound of people feasting surrounded them and the mood on the whole floor became joyful and happy.

Many of them even raised a toast to Kiel thanking him for his discovery.

Then he made a show to try to put one of the cupcakes into his ring.

He then shook his head and said:

"Nothing can be brought to the next level either."

Following that, he looked at he tried another prompt:

"System, clean me up and help me put on a suit of Basic Leather Armour"

Kiel was immediately covered by a burst of black colour glows and when the light faded away, he was completely cleaned and was covered in a handsome suit of leather armour.

The crowd who had been paying attention to him was in uproar.

Kiel made a show to called up his status windows, he nodded and said:

"Food and items with (N/A) grades are allowed. Anything else is not. I guess basic food, drinks and basic equipment are given freely."

The girls who were already half naked immediately echoed:

"System, clean me up and help me put on a suit of Basic Leather Armour"

Both girls were covered with black glow and when the light faded the blood and soot disappeaered from their faces.

Their messy hair that was covered in mud and blood were now clean, smooth and glossy.

On top of that, both girls' bodies were covered by basic leather armour which hugged their every curve.

The girls were natural beauties gifted with more than enough curves both top and bottom.

Kiel was thanking God for his luck. They were HIS!!!

As Kiel's eyes traced along the curves, Kiel's imagination ran wild and almost had a nosebleed.

He quickly calmed himself down and adjusted his breathing.

Soon everyone was also glowing with black light and now the hall was filled with humans in black leather armours.

Soeyoon looked at her outfit which was similar to everyone and was upset.

"Are there other choices?"

She looked at Kiel with her puppy eyes.

"I don't know. Go and try."

She nodded and thinking carefully, she said:

"System, can you change the basic leather armour to basic white robe?"

Soeyoon was covered with a white glow and the black leather armour was replaced by a white robe.

'Damn' Kiel exclaimed, this sexy girl just turned into an Angel.

That pristine white robe hugging that body with such a small waist further pushing out those curves at the front and back.

Kiel could feel something primal stir within him and he immediately took a deep breath to calm himself down.

Pity that those were not practical and might attract more troubles than it was worth.

"You need to change into something practical. 

Those robes will only be a burden when you are going through bushes or mud, climbing trees or mountains, going through rain or swimming in rivers or seas. That will only weigh you down."

From the corner of his eyes he could see that Bing Xue had wanted to change her leather armour for the beautiful robes too but hearing his comments, she exhaled and looked dejected.

Watching Soeyoon pout, Kiel could barely resist pouncing on her.

He put on a firm face and threatened;

"If your outfit became a burden and slowed you down later, don't expect me to help. I will just watch on as you die."

Reluctantly Soeyoon changed back to the sexy "Basic Leather Armour(N/A)".

Looking around he could see that all the men in the hall were glaring daggers at him. Kiel met those gaze head on, challenging them and those men decided to cower.

Kiel had the girls seated and started to grill them to guide them step by step to determine their future path.

"Enough fooling around, Xue Er, answer me honestly and truthfully, we need to find something that would fit you perfectly. Don't worry, there are no bad classes, only lazy and stupid bastards."

Xue Er nodded and looked at Kiel with eyes full of expectations. 

Struggling to hold back his urges, he continued. 

"Do you prefer to fight, support people from the back or make things away from dangers?"

"Fight." she answered confidently

"Melee or Range?"

"Tried melee, not really for me, Range I suppose,"

Nodding, Kiel continued:

"Do you prefer to cast spells, lay traps or use range weapons,"

"You can cast spells?"

"Yes, but don't let that affect your choices," Kiel affirmed.

"I have "Advanced Spell Casting(A)" from that Orb in Level one, I think I should focus on this"

She explained, referring to her status window.

"Up to you, so?"

"Range, Spell Casting" 

"Great. Your first choice will be a mage. Next subclass or hidden class will be up to your luck."

Looking at Soeyoon, Kiel then asked:

"What about you?"

Soeyoon bit her lips and contemplated, then explained:

"I want to fight, I like to stand at the front, 

I don't like to stand in the background or make things.

I prefer to fight in range and am practised in archery.

But I'm having problems getting my arrows to penetrate monsters' hide sometimes."

It was Kiel's turn to be silent. He thought about this problem too when he saw the bow and arrow in her status page.

In the past there had been archers but they weren't very successful. 

Against his initial decision of not influencing their choice, he explained:

"Like in games, there should be better bows and arrows in the future, 

but going down this path will leave you dependent on constantly trying to get better bows and arrows to accommodate your strength and stronger monsters.

You might even have to craft them yourself with materials on hand.

From what I know arrows are consumables and they might break when hitting targets.

I suggest you think very carefully if you want to choose this.

Maintaining this class will take up a lot of your time, effort and resources.

Personally, I believe that developing yourself and improving your own strength will be the best route as no one will be able to take that away from you.

Ideally you should not be too reliant on equipment.

Otherwise, the moment you lose them, you become vulnerable.

But again, that was my opinion, your are free to have yours"

To drive the point home, Kiel casted "Basic Fire Blast(D)" on his left hand controlling the fireball to stay in his palm and turned his fingers on his right hand to a sword shape then casted "Basic Mana Sword(C)".

"Decide carefully."
