Chapter 20 - Blood Bath

The Orcs were approaching, Kiel wielded the "Standard Miao Dao(E)" in his right hand and the "Basic SwordMage Blade(E)" on his left.

He casted "Basic Mana Sword(C)" and "Basic Mana Armor(C)", his bonus regen from the Blade and Necklace will be able to offset its consumption.

Kiel stood in front of Thorgen, staring the Orcs down.

Without looking at Thorgen, Kiel said:

"Watch carefully, old man. This is what SwordMages are capable of."

He lifted his right hand with the sword, and hooked his fingers while smirking at the Orcs.

The leader of the orc stood up to his full height at 4.5 m tall then grunted.

Immediately all hell broke loose. All 19 other Orcs swarmed him.

Weaving through 5 spears each coming from different directions, Kiel rushed past the spearheads and stabbed through the eyes of the Orc Hunter in front of him with his sword.

"Orc Hunter killed, 80 experience gained."

With the blade on his left hand he blocked a slash from his left, and Kiel leaped up trusting his "Sixth Sense(C)" just in time to avoid a slash that would have cut both his legs off.

Kiel pivoted his body and kicked the dead body in front of him away to block some of the Orcs coming at him. Freeing his sword from the Orc's skull in the process.

Jumping back, he landed on both feet firmly, fully displaying "Superior Balance(D)".

He ducked then he drove his left blade up and slashed the throat of the Orc on his left.

With a side step, he rushed into the dead zone of another Orc with a spear on his right and stabbed through its chest.

"Orc Hunter killed, 80 experience gained."

"Orc Hunter killed, 80 experience gained."

Both Orcs died at about the same time

Kiel then raised his leg and did a fireman kick to push the body away.

Kiel lifted his blade just in time to block a slash aiming at his neck and followed through with a stab from his sword to the Orc's neck who sneaked up behind him.

"Orc Hunter killed, 80 experience gained."

Tilting his head to dodge another spear aimed at his head, Kiel closed in on the Orc Hunter and used his blade to send the head flying.

Following through by using his sword to stab through the heart of another Orc behind the one he had just decapitated at the expense of a ferocious stab at his waist.

The attack failed to dig deep but it had left a large gash on his waist. Without "Steel Skin" stacked with "Mana Armour" Kiel would have been split into two.

Immediately after he cast a "Basic Water Bullet" through an Orc Hunters right eye to pulverize it's brain.

"Orc Hunter killed, 80 experience gained."

Then used a "Basic Vine Whip" to entangle everyone around him.

While everyone was trapped he struck and killed another Orc Hunter.

"Orc Hunter killed, 80 experience gained."

Being low leveled, the vines could not hold the Orcs for long and they started to break out of the trap.

Kiel cast "Instant Step" and appeared behind the puzzled Orcs, managing to easily decapitate 2 of them. One with his sword on his right and another with the blade on his left before rushing forth for another kill.

"Orc Hunter killed, 80 experience gained."

However, the leader of the Orc Hunter who towered above the rest had actually moved in front of him and stopped his crossed sword and blade that was about to cut another Orc's neck.

There was a sudden WHOOSH and Kiel was sent flying with a kick, he fell and rolled on the ground.

Kiel knew he was in a bad position, he needed to get up on his feet immediately or he would be dead.

He kept trying to avoid the attacks coming towards him and he started to pick up injuries.

Before long, Kiel was bleeding and covered in wounds. 

Just then, Kiel found an opening and rolled to an empty spot. Just as he leapt up to get to a standing position a net came down and trapped him.

It was exasperating.

He saw the last 2 spearmen thrust their spears towards his vital points and 3 sabers came down to slash at his neck, torso and waist.

Out of options, he risked his last drop of mana to cast "Instant Step(S)" he had been saving up.

As he appeared behind the furthest Orc. He slashed both weapons down, hoping to score 2 more kills.

Alas, he only got 1 of the Orcs,

3 Minutes till sunset. A series of prompts were heard.

"Mana Points not enough; "Basic Mana Armour(C)" Deactivated."

"Orc Scout killed, 55 experience gained."

He called up his status and saw that his health and mana regeneration just ticked.

Having no time to hesitate, he rushed forward casting "Basic Vine Whip(C)" to tangle up the escaped Orc Scout and recast "Basic Mana Armour(C)".

He walked up the Orc and easily killed the struggling Orc with a slice of its throat, sending its head rolling down the floor.

"Orc Scout killed, 55 experience gained."

"Level Up. You are now level 11.

Kiel smiled, his calculation wasn't off, he had hope. He now had full Health Points and Mana Points. 

Some deeper wounds on his body were already closing.

12 Orcs down, 8 to go and had just fully recovered and became a bit more powerful.

Grinning, Kiel looked up at the Orcs.

His grinning bloodied visage, standing between 2 decapitated bodies was terrifying to say the least, even some of the Orcs could be seen gulping in fear.

Seeing a man so badly injured and was about to die then instantly made full recovery was despairing.

As Kiel steps towards them, he could see they falter.

Kiel's grin was wider and with a bloodied face. He had crawled out of a pool of blood. It simply looked eerie even by the Orc's standard.

Kiel looked like he had just crawled out of a bloodbath.
