Kai is back

The base is amazed with the high quality products sold at the location where the previous homeless people are living. The twins decided to build three large stores for the vegetables harvested from the villa area at the most prosperous shopping center and meat processing facilities in the shelter. The meat is from the animal shelter in the villa area and the occasional hunting teams will bring their catch and receive payment.

The Twins are aware that Kai has several factories in his space one of them makes clothes from the materials harvested in the space. These will not be ruined inside their space no matter how long they are kept.

This provided another way of making income for the residents of the shelter. This impressed a lot of people. But others thought the twins are wasting money playing good Samaritans.

It has been a long time and the people are finally able to buy fresh meat cans which are being manufactured in the factory inside the shelter. The people are surprised because there is no one who works in the factory that they now but the factory is always operational. They don't know that the work is being done by robots.

The products are stocked in moderation which makes the public frustrated because purchasing priority is given to the residents and those working in the territory. There is also an unfair discount for these two groups which doesn't extend to the rest of the public.

Some of the hardworking people from the shelter who are healthy enough are transferred to live in the flats inside the territory so they can work in the glass houses and work on rebuilding the villa area that was destroyed during the attack. This opened up space in the shelter to house new people from the streets.

Even though new people are put into the territory, they are not aware that the place is under surveillance by the management of the Villa area. If they make any suspicious moves it will be recorded and sent to the monitoring station headed by Ye Ling.

This transfer system allows those who had previously only required some nourishment so they can hold a job to get a place in the villa area. This system allows the twins to help those in need inside the shelter while getting a stream of workers for the villa area.

A few months of this program many moved out of the shelter because it did not allow people to just live there if they are healthy enough to work. If they are able to work and rent outside where they will choose their own time they move out of the shelter. Many of those truly in need of help are able to get space in the shelter.

Another good thing about the program is that inside the shelter, the residents are very safe. Be it from the bullying or from each other. Those who enjoy hurting other people are thrown out of the shelter they will then be banned from ever living in the shelter.

"I would like to thank you and your master for providing shelter to the poor people. Your actions have saved a lot of lives." The base leader said to the two people who showed no expressions to his gratitude.

"I heard you are in charge while Kai is away, can you confirm the truth to this?" He asked her with a serious face. He finds it alarming that he can not see through the girl even though she is as young as Kai. This leads him to conclude that Kai may be keeping talented individuals around him.

"I have authority to make decisions. Is there something I may assist you with?" She spoke neither humble nor arrogant. Seated in front of the base leader while her large brother stood behind her. There is only two of them in front of bim but he feels as though he is facing the might of an army.

"I would like to buy a Payne battery from you. I am aware the Wang family had kept a considerable amount of such supplies and now the place is under your control." He probed them with a gaze but the twins are not easy to read.

Ye Ling is very beautiful with long lustrous brown hair reaching her waist and a tall height. Not to mention her absolutely perfect figure. She has a pair of big breasts and a slim waist, and round buttocks. The long legs wearing heels and black stockings makes her look classy.

The bisexual base leader kept swallowing. Her deep brown skin seems flawless as it looks to be imbued with some type of magic making him hallucinate its texture on his lips as he imagines kissing every inch of her body. She honestly seems beautiful but his favorite part is her eyes.

Those large brown eyes with a light shade of color making them look like a pair of glistening brown gems. He suddenly wants to seem them soften but only for him. He has never felt such intense romantic feelings for another human being. As the most promising Yan clan leader he has seen many women and men but this attraction feels soul deep.

"They may have anticipated the outcome of their betrayal because we found nothing in their storages. It was as if the entire place had been recently cleaned out." Ye Ling said pulling the man out of his stupor.

"Do you speak the truth?" He frowned slightly finding himself lacking in self discipline today. He just hopes they didn't notice anything just now.

"I speak the truth." She assured looking at him with eyes devoid of emotions. She reminds him of that playful and cold Kai teenager.

"Did Kai approve the decision for the purchase of that land and subsequent construction?" He raised an eyebrow. He hoped to throw her off guard once to compensate himself for the internal struggle a moment ago.

"Is there a reason you called me here today base leader?" She looked straight at him with a stern gaze. She must feel like he is wasting her time. The woman is managing one of the largest territories in the central base not to mention the several glass houses, the small army under her command and now she has to deal with the shelter and several other projects in the upper east shopping region.

"Yes of course. I want to ask what are your intentions with the previous residential area of the Wang family, specifically the flats that can house 15 thousand people?" Yan asked her subconsciously releasing a subtle pressure making Ye Ling frown.

"I can not make any decisions about housing people because my master doesn't like people in general." She answered without changing her tone.

"But you have already put many people in the several villas that were previously un occupied." He says with a challenging tone.

"That area is with in my control. Besides, the people who live there are my own employees and their stay is not necessarily permanent. I need them to restore the damaged area and they need a safe place to sleep." She reasoned.

He looked at her relaxed expression even when he had released a good amount of pressure. She felt it and didn't like it but she didn't confront him about his action. He became curious about her strength but decided ignore that for now.

"I am afraid that many people have their eyes on that property. It will be best if you can make a decision about it soon because many families are looking at this as an opportunity to expand their power by upgrading the housing they provide to their men which will attract more talent." He explained but Ye Ling just scoffed.

"We can not afford to have another Wang family incident. They can forget about moving into the Villa area, I am confident that my master will not allow them to move in." She said making him feel uncomfortable with her obvious tenderness as she calls Kai her master.

"Perhaps you don't understand the situation. They have all filed a petition to force Kai to either move out of the base or allow some people to move in that area. It is very selfish to have a perfectly good property be empty when many families are staying in the halls outside in such cold weather." Yan said manking her realize this is a somewhat difficult situation. Seeing her apprehensive gaze, he pushed further.

"The only reason they have not united against you is because I managed to hold them back for a while. But I can not hold them back indefinitely." He said but he could see the ridicule on her face.

"The only reason they haven't attacked is because they will be wiped out just like the last foolish group who tried their hand." She said coolly. Her words are full of confidence.

"Be that as it may, I advise you and your people to make a decision for Kai if he is not out in the next three days." He said sharply.

"With all due respect base leader. I have built a shelter that is home to thousands of homeless people while providing them with free food and clothing. I am not going to do something like that in my master's territory without his permission. If someone wants to attack, it will be best if they do it because my mind is not going to change." She made a strong statement without blinking.

Yan frowned seeing the woman not taking his words to heart. "Yes, you did a very good thing. But then you turned and kicked out thousands of families replacing the previous homeless people with new ones. Not to mention the large number of orphans you created with the last massacre in your territory." Yan said in frustration.

"The shelter has plenty of space for the needy but most of these people don't want to stay at a place built by the same people who slaughtered their guardians. This can not be blamed on me and my people." She said lightly.

"Perhaps there is a solution, you can donate and I can house them for the time being." The base leader offered a solution but Ye Ling shook her head.

"I may not be doing enough good deeds myself but if someone is getting something from me they should know where it is coming from. They can either accept my hand outs or refuse them." She said firmly.

"I understand. There is just a lot of people dying outside these days if this continues we will be halved by the the next few weeks. The other families are blaming you guys for the sudden increase in deaths since most of them were expelled from the villa area." Yan said.

"I suppose chasing people out of their residence doesn't come close to letting over a dozen thousand blood thirsty zombies feast on innocent people so they can be reduced in numbers." Ye Ling said sarcastically making Yan very uncomfortable.

A while back, the same people who are complaining about her killing and evicting people from their homes allowed zombies to eat the low class base citizens in the base so they can reduce population. It's funny she is being judged by such people.

"Like I said, I have plenty of space it is them who are stubborn and prefer death to living." Ye Ling said in response.

"If there is nothing else, I will take my leave." She stood up and left followed closely by her silent brother who hadn't said anything the entire meeting.

"How long do you think it has been?" Kai asked Phil as he looked at the batches of new model smart bracelets he had the factory mass produce after upgrading the size of items that can be teleported using the bracelet.

He had come out of seclusion after reaching the seventh layer of foundation establishment realm. He wanted to use his strength in combat before continuing to raise it.

Kai then battled the robots in the training chamber for a long time while improving the smart bracelets teleportation function up to the last step and now the production is complete. He feels very accomplished.

The bracelet now has a separate space dimension that can store items. Just like in the games, each stored item can be displayed on the monitoring screen and their names will be displayed. Kai found out this can be done with the recent chip that he developed after he equipment his brain with the liquid chip.

The space in the bracelet is not a magical item but is constructed using the space compact he managed to provide after performing hundreds of thousands of calculations with the help of Phil. Not only can he use this formula in the chip of the bracelet but it can be attached in other items such as jewelry but he will need spirit power to command the items and to enter and exit the space items.

This is something that requires a space stone a carving machine that can process each stone and activate space and allow it to hold items. The stone needs to recognize an owner by bonding with a person using mental waves. Each stone has its won mental waves and depending on the size and age, it will accept or repel a bond with an individual.

This led Kai to study the spirit energy to determine what are the requirements for a stone to accept a bond. The older a stone is the more powerful and the bigger the space. Some new born stones can also be extremely powerful if they were formed closer to the space vein in the ground.

Kai also realized many people have mental or spirit power but are not farming with how to make use of it while others have very weak mental force they wouldn't be able to awaken a super power or be able to use a space item without receiving external help.

"It is 13 months outside and a four years and a few months inside sir." Phil answered his question seeing him come out of his musings.

The twins are growing normally and can talk now. This is also another reason he came out of closed door cultivation. He didn't want the kids growing into adults inside the space. Vania is a sweet girl with bright curious feline eyes that pulls at the heart strings.

The boy Nate is very lovely with his chubby chicks and his large brown eyes he loves rolling at his sister. He is like a little man pretending to be grown up. The twins are an important part of Kai's life because he too was discarded by his biological family. He loves them and they adore their father.

He visits them at least once a day whether they are awake or already asleep. Kai had finished compacting space and then coded the formula into the chip which allowed the bracelets to have space storage on top of the teleportation function.

He can now scan and store a single warehouse with a few hundred square meters into his inventory. The teleportation function can sent three times that amount but it has to be dead Items. But this is only for him he only put a small portion for the public. He will gradually increase it as time goes on.

After finishing the space formula for compacting isolated space he began working on a barrier that is impenetrable. If he success means he will be able to cover his territory with this barrier making it impossible for any harm to come into his home.

Kai had found a way to use the Payne battery and power it with solar energy and zombie cores. As long as enough energy is stored into the batteries, the barrier will always stay up. It took him a long time to manufacture a complete disc that will activate and cover a certain area of effect.

The first to be made was big enough to cover his villa. The next one could possibly cover a small portion of the territory. Kai didn't leave the lab until he made one that can cover half the territory. He already has an Idea of which part of the villa area he is going to cover.

The barrier finished product is a flat disc that will levitate to an ideal location and then axtend a transparent light that will cover an area protecting it from a number of things which includes but is not limited to projectiles.

This barrier can not be deactivated by one person and they need to be at a certain location using a set of codes at the same time. Kai put this protocol in case there are traitors with in his domain.

It will travel deep into the earth and enclose the space inside not allowing anything to pass through. The barrier only becomes visible when something touches it.

The type of light will appear whenever something attempt to pass through. The air and weather conditions are able to pass but it is with in the settings to cut off the outside world completely.

It has a very powerful sensor that can detect abnormalities in the atmosphere this way it can prevent harmful gases from passing through. This level of technology is so advance it can be called magic.

Kai finally came out with a final product which has the cloaking technology inside. When it is in the air, no one will recognize it. This barrier has four gates that can only be opened using a specific key which Kai was able to make. The key has a high functioning chip so he made it into a card.

When Kai came out eager to experiment, he found the Ye twins in a stalemate. "What is going on here?"

"Master."

"Master."

They both became very happy to see him. But the tension in the air made Kai ask his question again bringing them back to the current problem.

"Please stop Ling'er she wants to wage war on all the powerful families in the base." Ye Ling quickly explained. It turns out the families are now preventing the base teams from working with the villa area.

The seven families are not happy with the silence in response to their demands on putting their people in the flat that the Wang family had previously built.

They are using the poor people on the streets helping them to riot and take away the materials brought back by the adventures who had signed a deal with them. I

Kai thought about it for a long time before he made a decision. "You can accept orphans into the territory and turn that place into a boarding school that will teach younglings how to survive in this apocalyptic world." Kai declared.

"Master, that sounds like a huge project who will be responsible for the daily operations of such a place?" She asked with palpitations.

Kai thought about it and then he had an idea. "Where are Paige and Xiao Yue?"

"They now work at the hospital in the administration department." Ye Ling answered.

"Call them back I will have them working in the school from now on." Kai declared.

"Umm... master, Xiao Yue is dating a member of the Wu family. You killed their leader in the first meeting with the base leaders." Ye Ling said. He is in charge of intelligence around the base. Phil sends him information of relevance from the several cameras around the base.

"I see. I will teach you a special technique if you want to hire someone that may betray you. Come with me to the basement." The twins followed him without asking any questions.

Kai taught them a set of runes that will work when they perform a set of hand signals and imbued soul power, a mark will appear and vanish on the skin where that person's heart is. It will then disappear into their heart. If they attempt to violate the agreement, their heart will be squeezed until it shatters.

This is how they will ensure no one harms the school and work only for the benefit of the school after signing the contract. The great thing about this contract is that it will be in effect even if the person is under influence making them unable break their vows. The mind reading skills will not work on people who signed this contract,

He then met with Paige. It has been a long time since he last saw her and her sister. "Kai, you grew a beard." She smiled at him. Her eyes are no longer slightly resentful when they look at him she seems almost at peace.

"You have matured nicely. How are you? The job treating you well I see." He said as a matter of fact.

"I am well. The outside world is chaotic, the fact that I am living this well is unbelievable. I have you to thank for that Kai." She said giving him a beaming.

"Gratitude?" Kai raised an eyebrow.

"I have gotten to see a glimpse of the outside world while working here. People losing limbs, youngsters getting fresh scars every week and children becoming orphaned in a blink of an eye. It really opened my eyes. Anyways why are you here suddenly?" She asked him.

"I would like to offer you a dean's position. The place will be very big in the future so you will have others helping you." He said shocking her.

"Dean?"

"I am opening a school for the orphans. I still just only have a rough idea but you will help me with the rest. My plan is to allow children to continue being children while they train for the outside world in a safe and lively environment." Kai said taking her hand.

"You would trust me with such an important task?" She asked confused.

"My people are mostly fighters. Even though there will be combat training in the school, there will be young babies there and I saw how patient you were with my children. I want you to supervise the entire place and make sure that my objective is accomplished.

"You can trust me." She said with confidence.
