Compared to what was happening now, what they did before seemed trivial.
Una and Tracy exchanged a glance, nodding slightly.
"Alright, we'll part ways here!"
"Poppy, since you decided to leave us, be careful when we meet again!"
"Goodbye!"
Tracy and Una left the room. The remaining six women exchanged glances and hurried to follow, leaving Poppy alone in the room.
She went to close the front door and then walked to the bedroom door. Upon opening it, she saw a woman standing outside, who recoiled in fright when Poppy opened the door abruptly.
She hastily said, "I'm also a victim! I live next door. I was abducted by men outside, and they killed my husband."
Poppy remained expressionless, coldly saying, "Go back to your own home."
"Yes, yes!" The woman inside quickly ran to the front door, opened it, and went back to her adjacent home.
Poppy closed the door, sat down, and finally relaxed her expression. She took out a photo featuring two people who seemed to be sisters.
The older one looked to be around 20, while the younger one was about 16. Both were smiling sweetly and looked genuinely happy. She held the photo to her chest, "Little sister, hang in there. I will find you!"
Meanwhile, Tracy and Una, with the six women, arrived at the underground garage. Using a flashlight, they found their way to the exit leading to Building 8.
"It's so darn cold!" Someone complained.
Una chuckled, "Once we're inside the villa, we won't feel cold anymore."
"Mhm!" The women nodded in agreement, their anticipation palpable.
Despite the limited space and darkness, they managed to find the way to the villa's entrance within a few minutes. They had prepared, opening their umbrellas for cover. Vigilance was essential, especially since they were there to harm others. They knocked on the door.
Leading the group was Patricia, also the most beautiful among the eight. If they were to lure Eugene to open, it would be best to send the most beautiful girl forward. Unfortunately, Poppy had "left the group." If she were there, who would believe a man could resist?
"What do you want?" A man's voice came from a speaker.
Patricia twisted her hips, put on a smile, and cooed, "Big brother, didn't you say if we accompany you, you'll give us food? Hehe, all of us want to accompany you!"
Eugene, watching through his surveillance, saw everything clearly. There were eight of them, all women, but their quality varied. Especially the overweight woman, was she serious? Would anyone even pay her to stand on the streets?
And wait, what was that? Eugene spotted the gun the overweight woman was hiding!
They thought Eugene only had one surveillance system, unaware there were three with infrared imaging, positioned at different locations. Were they here to rob his villa?
How did a women's group suddenly appear in the neighborhood?
He thought of the earlier noises and sirens… were these eight women involved?
Fine, since they delivered themselves to his doorstep, he'd deal with them all at once. Otherwise, scattering eight women around the neighborhood would be troublesome.
"Come in," Eugene turned off the surveillance and called Cathy and the other three women over. He didn't want them to see him using his dimensional powers.
Cathy felt a bit uneasy, asking, "Why? Now that there are newcomers, you're sidelining us?"
Eugene chuckled, "These newcomers are not to be trifled with; they have guns!"
Guns!
Cathy and her group were taken aback. Isabel quickly said, "Let's ignore them; they can't get in anyway!"
"Right, right!" The three women echoed.
The villa was well-equipped and safe, so why engage with armed individuals?
Ignoring them, Eugene had the group hide behind a screen. He turned off the lights. With a press of a button on his remote, the iron gate slowly opened.
Outside, the eight women hesitated upon seeing the dark interior. Why was it pitch black? Was Eugene already aware of their intentions?
But the moment the door opened, warm air flowed out, bringing a comforting feeling that words couldn't describe. They couldn't help but step inside.
Then, one by one, they mysteriously vanished without making a sound.
The darkness was too intense, and the people behind didn't notice that the person in front had disappeared until five people were missing.
Tracy happened to shine her flashlight and was startled to a stop.
Where are they?
Where are the people in front?
How come not a single shadow is visible?
"Patricia! Heloise!" she shouted loudly, but her voice was trembling.
At her shout, Una and another woman stopped as well, shining their flashlights all around the house, searching for the five missing companions.
However... nothing!
At this moment, all three women panicked.
The darkness, combined with the unknown, created a strong sense of fear.
Just then, a figure emerged from the darkness, illuminated by the flashlight.
Almost simultaneously, Tracy and Una raised their guns and pulled the trigger at the figure.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
In the darkness, with each shot fired, a flash of light burst forth. Shockingly, Tracy and Una fired several shots but were startled to find the figure still standing!
"You're terrible shots!" Eugene laughed.
Was it really that Una and Tracy were such bad shots?
No, it was because Eugene had opened a spatial door on the iron gate, and all the bullets fired at him were stored in another dimension.
So, it was odd for even one bullet to hit Eugene.
They didn't even hit the house; otherwise, the bullets hitting the walls or tables would have made noise.
But Tracy and the others were too terrified to think about this. They were trembling, finding it hard to breathe.
Eugene couldn't take any risks. Seeing the women hesitating and unsure if their guns were empty, he decided not to advance but turned on his high-powered flashlight, shining it at the women.
Swoosh! Several bullets silently shot out from the other dimension.
Given the short distance between the spatial door and the women, Eugene's accuracy was unquestionable.
Bang! Bang! Bang! The three women were shot in the forehead and fell backward.
Thus, all eight were eliminated.
Eugene approached, collecting the bodies and guns, then went outside to dispose of all eight women's corpses.
He returned to the villa, locked the door, and turned on the lights.
Only then did Cathy cautiously peek out from behind the screen, her face filled with fear.
Guns!
Who wouldn't be afraid?
No matter how tough you are, you're vulnerable before a gun.
"Those... those people?" Cathy asked shakily.
"Dealt with. The bodies are all outside," Eugene casually replied, but his brow furrowed.
He had checked; four of the eight women had tattoos. They couldn't be police officers. Combined with the police sirens, he guessed these eight women had obtained guns and a police car from a police station.
But since he hadn't seen the car, he might be wrong. The guns the women had weren't from a police station but stolen from a prison.
This meant ordinary people could easily get firearms now.
This was a huge problem!
With control over another dimension and bullets inside, Eugene was invincible head-on.
But what if someone ambushed him from behind?
There's no way to guard against that!
"From now on, I must be extra cautious when going out."
"Thankfully, the car is bulletproof... Next time, I need to get a bulletproof vest and a riot helmet from the police station!"
Eugene reminded himself to be vigilant; having control over another dimension didn't make him a superhero.
Enough thinking, it's late, time to sleep!
Another night passed, and it was the 20th day since the apocalypse began.
20 days!
Eugene looked at the gradually brightening window and couldn't help but sigh.
