Chapter 26
Nara's voice hardened, each word laced with cold fury. "She shouldn't be breathing, Olivia. We took care of her. How the hell did she survive?"
"I don't know," Olivia hissed, glancing toward her door as if Rachel might be listening. "But she's here, and she's not the same. She looked at me, Nara. She knows."
There was a pause, and Olivia could almost see Nara's mind working, calculating the next move. Nara had always been the stronger one, the one who acted without hesitation, and Olivia relied on that now. They were in this together, and Nara always had a plan.
"We can't let her talk," Nara said finally, her voice dripping with menace. "If Antonio finds out what we did, it's over for both of us. You need to keep an eye on her. Find out what she wants. And if she tries to say anything, you shut her down."
