I also do hope to increase my skills as a writer as I go on so please leave criticism! As of right now, chapters will be monthly. Could change in the future…

The Possibility of Impossible

The bloodcurdling screams of innocent lives being ended echoed throughout the entire island as the Tower began to unleash Hell onto Earth. In the span of thirty minutes, Eyon already had destruction that cost up to millions, fire spread throughout the city, and casualties well in the hundreds. Police officers, firefighters, and paramedics were scurrying around the city to help. And during those thirty minutes, Katsuki was trying his best to save as many people as possible by leading them to safety. However, he could only do so much when he lacks the key component to fight back against a Colossus.

"Ah…" Katsuki placed himself in front of a young boy that he's currently trying to save when he got deserted by his own parents… And standing right in front of them is a Colossus.

The Colossus resembles a tree monster with hard skin, branches with leaves protruding out of its head, sunset orange eyes, and a tail that splits at the end, its height is roughly fourteen feet high (~420cm) and it crawls on all four like the majority of Colossus.

"Run!!" Katsuki shouted to the young boy, and he did just that. Despite him running away, the Colossus seemed to be fixated on Katsuki, never shifting its hungry eyes.

"…What do I do now against something like this?" Katsuki thought to himself as he stood his ground before the Colossus.

Making a split second decision, Katsuki decides to run away, the Colossus chasing soon after, and he seems to be running faster than he ever did. This did surprise him for a second but he shrugged it off as his life is in danger.

BOOM!!

Another Colossus crashes through a building to cut off Katsuki's route of escape.

"Shit!!" He screamed out.

Running into a nearby alleyway, the two Colossus chase after their prey who's playing a game of cat and mouse.

A shadow casts over Katsuki, causing him to instinctively look up, and on the rooftops is a bird like creature trying to fit its beak into the alleyway, but luckily the beak seems to be too small to reach him.

"Damnit! Damnit!" Katsuki shouted to himself as he finally reached the open street to see blood, burning vehicles, buildings that are temporarily housing Colossus, body parts scattered throughout the street, and in the distance is the thing behind it all, the Tower. This grotesque scene almost causes Katsuki to throw up, but he doesn't have time for that. He has to run.

Taking no moment to hesitate, he continues to sprint down the bloodied road with several Colossus hunting down their next meal. In front of Katsuki is a downward slope that has yet to reveal the other side, leaving a bit of hope that maybe something is on the other side.

Then it was instantly crushed. An unknown goo made Katsuki slip and he snowballed down the hill.

CRASH!!

Katsuki slams into an abandoned car, breaking a good amount of bones, and leaving the car caved in so it looks like the car is hugging him. He almost lost consciousness for a second, but got brought back when he heard a roar. "My whole body… It hurts… How am I still…?" Katsuki's inner thoughts is cut off when he sees a shadow standing in front of him.

"Hey! I found another a Human!" The male shouted.

His eyes still barely opening, Katsuki can only make out shapes and colors. His head felt like it was on a roller coaster going at the speed of light, his body didn't want to respond to him, and he could barely speak.

Another shape entered his line of sight, this one being a bit smaller, then approached him.

"I know you… You're from the other day." The shape said, the figure having a familiar voice. Soon Katsuki's vision returned to him and he saw the face of the unknown figure. It was the Slayer that saved him a few days ago. How could he forget her? Even if everyone did, he wouldn't. She saved his life from certain death.

"Y…You're…" Katsuki's raspy voice got drowned out by the deafening roars from the Colossus as they circled around Ash, Emilia, and Katsuki.

"Don't use too much strength. I'm gonna try to save you." Emilia said softly to an exhausted Katsuki.

She walks away from Katsuki then disappears. Suddenly, all of the Colossus dropped dead, their blood painting the nearby buildings dark red. Katsuki watched in amazement as the Slayers killed the Colossus with such speed and finesse that not some Slayers are capable of achieving.

Appearing in front of Katsuki, Emilia bends down to Katsuki, "Come on." She then helps Katsuki lift himself up and she tries to lead him away from the corpses of the Colossus.

"H-Hey, I have a question, when you get better of course, but how'd you-" Emilia got cut off by a presence that she never felt before. It was so strong that it felt like she was being strangled. Her body became stiff, her heart felt like it was being tugged, and the voice of a male spoke to her and Katsuki.

"I was told there were Slayers who would give a challenge…" The man said in utter disappointment.

Emilia sets down Katsuki safely and she turns around to face the man who spoke. Expecting to see a normal man, she was met with a man who held the decapitated head of Ash that's dripping with blood. Tossing the head aside, the man tears off the sleeves of the three piece suit he's wearing to feel the hot air of Eyon against his arms.

"D-Damnit… What the hell do I do…?" Emilia thought to herself, her legs shaking.

Despite being scared to death, Emilia still held onto her all black sword with an undying grip in case the man who stood before her attacked.

"Get up, boy." The man's voice came from behind her.

All the hairs on Emilia's body stood up when she heard his voice come from behind her. She couldn't stop thinking about how fast he is. He was just in front of her not even a second ago.

"I can't…" Katsuki weakly said to the man who glared down at him.

Realizing the man has his attention towards Katsuki, Emilia uses this as a chance to strike. Going straight for the neck, Emilia's blade clashed with his seemingly impenetrable neck. If she had describe the feeling, it was as if she was trying to slash a copper knife against diamond with as much force as possible.

"I felt hesitation in your blade, Slayer. Is that common?" The man asked, his monotone voice giving Emilia a slight edge of anxiety.

Before she knew it, an unbearable pain came from her stomach that was made possible by the man's unrelenting fist and she got sent back flying. He moved too fast for her to react; His strength is unbelievable; And his demeanor intimidating her.

Crashing into several buildings, Emilia found herself barely conscious in a work office where a surviving citizen just so happened to be hiding at.

"A-Are you a Slayer!?" The man shouted in desperation.

"Y-Yes… Now leave…" She mumbled as she groggily stood back up, her injuries not being severe, but also not minor.

"H-Help me! Get me outta here!! Please!!" He pleaded to the Slayer.

"I will… Just leave before he-"

"Use your abilities before you die, Slayer." The man demanded as he appeared in front of Emilia, grabbing her hair, lifting her up with ease, and repeatedly punches her in the face until she finally had to resort to her trump card.

"How did-"

Before the man could finish his sentence, Emilia rams her head against his. Releasing his grip on her, he stumbles backward, holding his head. Wasting no time, Emilia charges at her opponent at full speed with her sword ready to cut him down. With a full power swing that made contact with the man, everything within the vicinity got blown away by her immense strength. Luckily, the random citizen who unfortunately got stuck in between their fight survived…

His shattered bones regenerated, his internal bleeding stopped, his vision became clear, his stamina slowly recovered, and his strength came back. Not even he himself could believe or explain what had just happened. Can that even happen? He was sure that he would stay in the hospital for months after this but it seems not.

"Wow! Will you be alright?"

The man's ecstatic voice made Katsuki look up to see his face, locking eyes with the clean shaven man.

"…Y-Yeah…" Katsuki hesitated.

"You should get out of here. The Warden might just kill you if you don't."

As the man spoke to the sitting up Katsuki, Katsuki saw a similar pendant that Emilia bears around her neck. It then became obvious of who this strange man is. He's a Slayer. Without saying anything else, the Slayer walked away, leaving Katsuki to stare at his backside.

Was he staring out of admiration? Jealousy? Or was it that Katsuki was angry due to the Slayer turning his back towards him? It could've been a mix of all of them.

BOOM!

BOOM!!!

Off in the distance were explosions strong enough that shook the ground for several miles while also destroying a good majority of the city. Was this Emilia and the recently introduced Slayer fighting that unknown man who is currently trying to kill Emilia? Or was it Emilia herself revealing her true power? Whatever it was, Katsuki didn't want to be near it… But he did at the same time. If there was someone to save, he's willing to try, even if his life is at stake.

All he had to do is take those few steps forward that were the size of the sea. Building up all the courage and strength in his body, he took that first step. As for the second step forward… It never happened. His entire body collapsed and slammed onto the pavement. The last thing he ever heard was a voice that called out to him by his name. As for who it belonged to, he did not know.
