Chapter 93: The Truth

After the Contest the entire WordBagon Team were standing on the stage waiting for their prize.

The crowd was cheering for them like there was no tomorrow especially the students of Class L-1.

"Way to go Arthurrr!!!." Blake yelled.

"Congratulations guys!!!." Luck yelled.

As they all received their medals, they were then given a huge trophy made of gold, They all placed their hands on the trophy and raised it high with their smiles on their face.

After the whole awarding ceremony the three teams from different schools were in the gym as they held a party to celebrate the event, it was already night time and everyone was there.

Anastasia was snuggling Dorothy like crazy while Arthur and Raelynn were laughing.

"Congratulations Dorothy!!! I knew you guys would win!!." Anastasia said.

"Th-Thanks Anastasia.."

Gray was simply asleep on the bench while Zack and May were talking outside, Patrisha was with Saya and Carla as they were eating different kinds of food.

Alex, Jazmyn and Abbigail were with the other student council members from different schools to celebrate on their own.

Carla approaches both Dorothy and Arthur holding her cellphone saying,

"My King, Dorothy your Father has requested both your presence immediately.."

"Alright.. You and the others stay here and enjoy the party alright me and Dorothy will catch up." Arthur said.

As Arthur and Dorothy left to head to their room they pass by to Atalanta and Aiden who were patrolling the area.

"Congratulations both of you." Atalante said.

"Yeah! That was an awesome fight!." Aiden said while raising his fists high.

"Thanks you two.." Arthur said.

"Can you guys make it to the party?."

Both Atalante and Aiden's face turned into sorrow as they replied,

"Unfortunately no, someone's gotta keep you all safe right?."

"Yeah.. don't worry we'll hold our own party some time now."

Arthur and Dorothy looked at each other and smiled.

"We'd both like that."

Both Arthur and Dorothy proceed to head to their rooms where Louise and Arthur's Father is waiting.

While inside their rooms Anna was pouting because she couldn't go to the party.

"Hmph.. I wanna go to Mama and Papa's party!!."

"Ekkk!?." Louise reacted.

"You were like that you know."

"Shut up Father!."

A knock on the door calms Anna down and she rushes towards and opens it seeing both Arthur and Dorothy.

She jumps into their arms yelling "Mamaaaa!! Papaaaaa!!." as they both caught her.

"Good, now that everyone's here.. may you two take a seat."

Both Arthur and Dorothy took their seats while Anna was being carried by Louise, Anna twirled her hair around playing around with it while Louise simply smiled looking at the young girl she was carrying.

"What I'm about to tell you involves your parents.."

[Parents? does he know about my Parents as well?] Dorothy wondered.

"Yes Dorothy.. I knew your Family..I wasn't really sure about you at first but now I'm certain.. You're Ian Ritsu's Daughter aren't you?."

"How did you..."

She was stunned to hear Arthur's Father have some connection to her Father, she couldn't say anything and was quiet afterwards.

"And this involves your Mother.."

As Arthur's heartbeats were getting faster and heavier all of a sudden, his mind was aching in pain from something he doesn't know.

"What do you mean Father... ngghh! Isn't Mother out on a journey?..."

He never gave him a reply and was simply silent, He stared into Arthur's eyes with no hesitation and said.

"Do it."

A hand was felt on top of his head, as he turns up and sees Louise with tears on her face flowing downwards continuously.

"What does Father mean Louis----nghhh!!!!?!??!?."

A tremendous pain coming from his head, it wasn't stopping by the minute and Dorothy reacted to Arthur's scream.

"W-What are you doing Louise!?."

"We're returning something we took from him years ago."

Louise lets go while Anna was clinging to her tightly.. but the pain never ended there.. afterwards Arthur was on the floor dealing with the pain he's experiencing.

It felt like a sudden boulder was being on top of his head accompanied with needles prickling him.

"You need to stop this! Louise! Father!." Dorothy exclaimed.

They simply ignored her while staring unto Arthur below on the ground screaming from the intense pain.

"If you won't listen to what I say..."

Dorothy's mana suddenly increased a hundred fold and Arthur's Father reacted to it skyrocketing.

"Then I'm going to have to make you both stop!!!."

Dorothy summoned every weapon and arranged them in the air, from spears to swords, to arrows everything was there appearing one by one.

"Forgive me you two.." Dorothy uttered.

Anna leaps out from Louise's hands and runs away towards Dorothy's side as she then launches all the weapons she conjured up towards Louise to stop what she's doing.

A Sword merely stopped every weapon in it's tracks..

"Wha??." Dorothy reacted.

"Calm down Dorothy.."

"Calm down!? Your son is in pain and you want me to calm down!!!!."

She fired another batch as Arthur's Father merely deflected all of them in one strike.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!." Arthur reacted.

Arthur was barely keeping his sanity together as his mind was revealing a hidden memory within.. he was getting fragments at first... a hand on the ground in a pool of blood... someone hugging them tightly.. these were things he knew but never wondered what those were.. A dream? A fragment of something that should've been there? He never was curious about those.

"I love you Arthur.. please survive.."

He heard a voice.. a motherly voice..

Tears were starting to flow from his eyes not from the pain but because of what he was experiencing..

"That's it!!." Dorothy yelled.

She then conjures up a ton of staffs and casts a spell.. She was then stopped by Anna.. who was now on the verge of crying..

"Please stopp Mama..."

The girl beside her said.. all Dorothy could do was stare unto the little girl she and Arthur were taking care of as she was in tears.

The staffs disappear one by one as Dorothy was on her knees hugging her tightly while tears were flowing down her cheek.

"Arthur.. you have to survive.. protect your sister... and liv---.."

As Arthur calmed down now.. as the pain finally subsided.. his thoughts were now clear and his memory finally returned.

"Father.. was that true..." Arthur uttered.

"Yes.. it was.. That was a memory of what happened a few years ago.." He replied.

"All this time.. you've been telling me lies about Mom!?."

His voice wasn't the same cheerful tone this time it was filled with rage and was very deep, his eyes were somewhat confused what to believe.

While Dorothy and Anna were still confused as to what's happening..

"A few years ago.. a skilled Assassin entered the house.. and was looking for you.. at that time It was only you and your Mother there.. while me and Louise were out buying food for dinner.."

Dorothy and Anna were listening closely while Arthur was in front of his Father looking down containing his rage as he listened.

"When we came back the Assassin was barely standing while your Mother suffered a critical injury.. her vitals were hit and blood was everywhere.. and it wasn't even the Assassin's blood that was everywhere.. it was hers.. I went out with everything I had and killed the Assassin while Louise was hugging you very tightly.. Your Mother was on the verge of death while you were watching.."

"So I traded off my legs for more power.. I sold off my desire to walk in order to save your Mother.."

Obtaining Mana have many ways.. training.. some are gifted from the start and blessed with an amount.. and casting something from your body is one of them.

"I tried every healing spell I know.. but apparently the dagger your Mother was stabbed with was meant for you.. an un healable weapon.. I lost both of my legs and my wife.. but before she died she told us to take her memories from you.. you were still a kid then and we weren't really sure if you would handle it.. you and your Mother were so close after all.."

"So we took away your memories of her.. and you continued living your life believing your Mother went on a journey.. we never wanted to result to that, but your Mother wanted you to live a life without knowing death."

"It's alright Father.. I understand.." Arthur replied.

As he then was about to walk outside his room "That's not all my boy.." His Father wanted to say something to him.

"You and Dorothy are this generations Ruler and Servant Classes."

They were both shocked to hear this.. but for Dorothy she already knew that from the start.. there were times when these two fought together not as a Swordsman and Mage class but as the Ruler and Servant, but Arthur never even realized it..

Sanity even told them that once but Arthur chose not to believe him then.

"That black form you did during the contests were the result of your Servant class appearing.. I merely trained you to be a swordsman class so people wouldn't figure out your identity and your partner agreed."

"Partner?.. What do you mean?." Arthur asked.

"He means me boy.."

A voice echoed from somewhere but they never knew where, they look around the room to look for the source of the voice.

"I'm right here!."

They all look towards Arthur's sword and saw a reflection of a Dragon's face..

"EEEEEEHHHHHHHH!!!?!??!?!." They all reacted.

"F-Father what is this?." Arthur asked.

"That my son is your partner.. A Legendary Dragon.."

Each Servant has their own Legendary animal, Arthur's is the Fifth generation animal, The Dragon, while the other generations involved, Tigers, Serpents, Eagles, Alligators and more..

These animals are what give their hosts more power than usual thus resulting to them forming their new forms like for Arthur when he transforms, a black wing would appear behind him, scaly gauntlets.. etc.

"It's nice to finally be able to talk to my partner.. HAHAHAHA I say there are times when you really go all out huh.."

"You were always there?." Arthur asked.

"Of course, otherwise I'd be a failure of the Legendary animals if I couldn't be there for my contractor."

"But I never made a contract??."

"Well I guess I wouldn't call it a contract either sorry.. think of it more as I chose you to be my host partner." The Dragon said.

"Can you come out of the sword?." Arthur asked.

"Not yet.. even after everything you still need more mana to help me manifest my own body outside the weapon.. but don't worry I have faith in you partner and besides after the last few years of watching over you I know for a fact that you are the best partner to all the humans in the world."

"I'm sorry.. I need some fresh air for a sec.."

Arthur placed the sword down while running off outside, Dorothy shortly followed while his Father told Louise to not go after them.

"They need some time to figure this out.. prep our things we're going home by tomorrow.."

"Father.. are you sure?." Louise asked.

"Are you really sure about this? He could use both your presences you know." The Dragon said.

"He already has someone to keep him company while we're gone.. I appreciate you looking after him."

"No need to thank me.. It's my role to protect my host at all cause."

Outside Arthur went to the now empty field to simply clear out his mind.

"Are you okay?."

A soft voice came from behind, It was Dorothy..

"Well I just now realized my Mother is gone.. My Father and sister kept that from me.. and fed me lies about her being fine.. I'm fine yeah.." He replied.

She gives him a hug while Arthur's tears fell.

"Never trust a man who says their fine.." Dorothy uttered.

"Did you always knew about us?." Arthur asked.

"Yes and I thought you knew as well.."

"Why didn't you tell me then?."

"I didn't want you thinking we were brought together because of our classes.. I didn't want to believe that our feelings for each other were crucial because the the world deemed so.."

Arthur simply smiled and said,

"My feelings for you wasn't something the world gave me.. It was my decision to love you not the world's.. and I'm sure your feelings are as true as mine.. no matter what, it's the way we walk our path is what brought us together not some scripted path the world gave for us.. we walked and built it ourselves.."

"It's funny.. I'm suppose to be comforting you now.. but it kinda looks like the opposite now." Dorothy said.

"Well I did promise I would protect you no matter where you are.."

Under the moonlit sky were two teenagers in love.. but never did they realized what would happen next..

Merlin was out of breath and brought Tazer with him to the WordBagon Academy..

"Why the hell am I here!? Huuuh!?." Tazer reacted.

"Please Tazer I need your help.." Merlin said catching his breath.

"Umm can you give me an explanation as to why I'm here too?."

A feminine girl with a pigtail hairstyle, with a dagger and two pistols on her sash.. It was Liz.

"I don't have much time.. we need to warn them before---!?."

They look above them and see the moon being consumed by Darkness..

"Hey!." Tazer reacted.

"What's that!?." Liz asked.

"We're too late.. Nooo we need to hurry!!" Merlin uttered.

And from a far where six people standing on top of a building overlooking the Academy..

"The Twilight is finally upon us.." Sanity uttered.
