Chapter 7: Resolved

After getting what she was after, Dorothy was heading towards the Hospital to give the antidote to the doctor to cure Patrisha.

Arthur was already at their classroom sitting at his chair "So, Dorothy is still absent today huh?." Febby asked.

Febby just arrived at the classroom and was worried about Dorothy too, Arthur was then thinking in his mind,

[I can't tell them Dorothy is missing.. soo I'm going to use this method..]

"Yeah.. Well she's been sick since after the whole activity.. and I just received a message from her that she's staying right now at her parent's house.. so don't worry I'm sure she'll be okay once she gets enough rest."

Arthur managed to give a good excuse for Dorothy's whereabouts but on his mind he was really worried about her.

"I hope so too.. I hope she feels better soon." Febby replied.

Febby goes to hear seat while Arthur stares into the window and says to himself,

"Yeah.. I hope so too."

~ Meanwhile in the city ~

"Aiden, anything over there?."

Atalanta was in an alleyway looking the entity since yesterday, She and Aiden have been searching but they haven't found anything as of yet.

"Nope, nothing here Sis." He replied as he was heard slurping on something.

Atalanta heard noise for an alleyway, and not cars noises, but children playing, shouting, dogs barking, sounds you wouldn't usually hear in an alleyway.

"Stop calling me Sis, and are you at the park!?." She asked.

She clenches her fists as she becomes slowly frustrated over what Aiden is currently doing.

"N-NO I'm at an alleyway that some kids are randomly crossing by." Aiden said as he takes another slurp at his ice cream.

Atalante then ends the call and calms herself, releasing all her anger and frustration, she nocks her bow aiming at the sky saying,

"To both divines I offer this."

and fires her arrow which lands on Aiden's ice cream leaving the cone untouched Aiden shortly after was in tears crying in the middle of the park while all the kids around stared at him while parents grabbed their children and left the park as the weeping man rolls on the ground.

Dorothy ran and ran until she could get to the hospital and as she knew it she was grabbed by a few thugs in an alleyway.

"Hey there little girl, you seemed to be in a hurry."

He then shows his pocket knife and threatens her

"I don't have time for this, Explooooosioooonn!!." Dorothy yelled.

"What the?." Atalanta reacted from the explosion.

From a far Atalanta saw the explosion occurred and decided to check it out, Once she arrived at the scene, her eyes widened, her facial expressions filled with shock as she says,

"What the?."

She saw all the thugs in random places, Atalante then grabs her comm and calls Aiden.

"I need your help over here." Atalante said as she ends the call.

Due to the explosion a huge crater was made and that was what Atalante was so shock about, to who could have the firepower to launch an explosion so huge yet didn't do that much of the area but the alleyway.

A few hours have passed and Dorothy already arrived at the hospital, exhausted from running she went directly to the doctor and said,

"Doctor, I found the antidote!."

She then hands over the vial to the doctor.

"Now all we need now is to inject it in her and she'll be fine in no time." The doctor said.

As he smiles and give Dorothy a pat on the shoulder and says,

"You've done well in helping your friend, Ms. Ritsu you can rest now."

"Thank you so mu--." Dorothy then passes out on the doctors couch.

"Oh dear, Nurse." The doctor called.

"Yes doc?." "Take her to one of our vacant rooms please she's needs to rest for today."

He then proceeds to go outside and heads to Patrisha's room to inject the antidote in her.

"Yes Doc.".

~ A Day has passed ~

Dorothy was slowly waking up, "Ms. Ritsu." a feint voice calling her as she tries to wake up, but due to her efforts on getting the antidote she has depleted all her mana, and is tired physically from running around without rest.

"Ms. Ritsu."

"Ms. Ritsu."

"Ms. Ritsu."

After hearing her name for the fourth time now she was now fully awake, but she wasn't concerning for herself in fact the first thing she asked upon waking up was,

"Doctor, is Patrisha fine now?."

"I admire that you care more about your friend than yourself, but once in a while if you can't help yourself you can't help others."

"I know." Dorothy replied.

Her thoughts were dwelling on Arthur at this moment, she was thinking about what he was doing right now, he wanted to see his smile again.

"Oh by the way! you were unconscious for a day and just woke up now." the doctor said as he goes outside.

"What do you mean a day? there's no way I wok--EHHHHHHH!!?!?!?!!."

She indeed has been unconscious for a day now, that makes it her third day she was absent for school, The doctor then came back to tell her one more thing.

"Your friend is now in recovery and the poison is now gone, but she'll still be out in a day or two but she'll be fine."

Dorothy then bowed her head and said,

"Thank you so very much."

"You're Welcome now Ms. Ritsu, and I'm glad your friend's feeling alright now." the doctor said and shortly after left the room.

But in the end Dorothy couldn't bring herself to see Patrisha at that very moment, so she stayed there for hours and hours until she decided to go and see her.

It was already noon at precisely 2:30 P.M. Dorothy slowly entered Patrsiha's room and saw her still unconscious.

She went inside, but out of reflexes a few people entered the room and she quickly casted her invisibility spell and the few people who entered Patrisha's room where her classmates including Arthur, as Dorothy saw Arthur's worried look she quickly decided to stay in the room but still kept her invisibility.

"Patrisha, it's us your friends, your classmates." Gray said as he grabbed Patrisha's hand.

It was a touching moment until..

"Hehehehehe I'm touching her hand Hehehehe--."

As Febby punched Gray for ruining the moment, He was then out of commission and was laying on the floor.

"Please stay strong Patrisha, we'll all be waiting for you at the classroom like we always do." Lisa said as she was in tears.

(Lisa is Patrisha's close friend in the classroom)

"Keep going strong Patrisha." Luck said as he placed some flowers on her drawer.

While Dorothy was at the corner of the room simply listening to them as she was at the corner, A few minutes later and a few of them already went home.

"Well I have to go now Arthur, see you tomorrow Patrisha we'll be seeing you in class soon okay." Gray said as he went outside the room.

"You know I'm pretty sure Dorothy has been visiting you Patrisha."

As Arthur said this Dorothy was shock, her eyes widened after hearing that, her heart was beating fast for a reason.

"She's the most concerned one out of all of us in the classroom, so please stay strong and once you've recovered come back to the classroom I'm sure Dorothy would be the one to hug you first than anyone else."

[W-What is he saying all of a sudden??]

Her eyes then change reaction as she sees Arthur on the verge of crying..

"I m-m-miss you Dorothy." He uttered.

[What? What's going on right now?]

As the doctor entered the room Dorothy whispered carefully,

"Please don't tell him about me."

As the doctor saw Arthur next to Patrisha, he then realized this is the boy Dorothy likes (the doctor heard it from Sara who called him right after Dorothy left the convenience store).

"Your friend there's gonna be alright, I've treated her the best I can." the doctor said as he greetes Arthur with a smile.

"Thank you.... by the way Doctor."

"She'll probably wake up in a few days or so but just give her time I promise you she'll be waking up."

"Hey doc, has a girl named Dorothy ever came here?."

Dorothy's heart was even beating faster than ever, she was clearly flustered all over but at the same time her facial expressions turned from embarrassed to nervous as the doctor was staring at her direction.

"Erm.. something wrong doc?."

"No.. I'm afraid I haven't seen anyone else entering here besides you lot today or the other days as well." the doctor said.

"Oh I see, Thank you for everything you have done for her doctor." Arthur said.

He stands up and prepares to go home as he was hoping he would've seen Dorothy here.

"Once again Thank you very much Doctor." Arthur said.

"It's my job, now go home now It's going to get late." the doctor said, as Arthur waved goodbye and went outside.

"He's a good kid you know." the doctor said.

"Yeah, I know." She replied.

instead of going home she then heads towards Patrisha's side and held her hand.

"You're not going to go home?." the doctor asked.

"I'll stay here for tonight, I'll go home tomorrow."

"Alright then here have a blanket." the doctor said as he left the room.

So after that, a day has passed, Patrisha still hasn't woken up and Dorothy left at 3:55 in the afternoon and went to the field at school to walk around to think about things starting from now on.

[I wonder.. If I never transferred here.. would Patrisha have gotten hurt? would that really happen if I weren't here?]

She was walking alone in the field, kicking small rocks as she walks, while focusing on her regrets.

"Heyyy Dorotthhyyy!.".

She heard a familiar voice from a far, her eyes widened and sheds a tear.
