Chapter 59: Rest and Issues

Annie was having a dream, a dream that she clearly remembers and chooses to forget about it.

There she was with her old teammates, at the bank, the same situation occurred with them being surrounded by the heroes and police,

Juliet: What do we do? if what your sister's saying is true we'll be done for sure.

Annie was staring at herself, and says "Why am I being shown this? What was I suppose to do?"

Aurora: Nothing personal, but we'll use you as bait!

She uttered the words "Stop!." She was positive this was a dream, she slapped herself a couple of times to make sure she wakes up, she pinches her cheek until they were bright red, she bites her arm with the force of never letting it go, tears were flowing down from the pain, she wanted it to stop, but she never woke up, she saw what transpired next.

They continued to tied her up with a bomb and left her in the bank as they drilled a hole on the other side, not understanding her own sister's reasons for leaving her behind, she flailed around like a fish out of the water as she tries to break free.

The present Annie tries to untie her dream self from the bomb and let her free, she was dragged by the moment and actually thought she could do something on her own, her hands slipped right through her past self as she was flailing around and says to herself,

Annie: W-What am I suppose to do!? What do you want me to do!?

She placed both hands on her face, and was about to break.

the timer the bomb was set was almost done, she tried her best on escaping, she thought [This is a joke right!? Sis!? where are you!?].

She stands back up, and says to herself,

Annie: I'm sure, there was a reason why she did it... Yeah.. I'm sure right now they're planning on rescuing me sometime now..

over and over again until the Heroes came and diffused the bomb tied to her.

Time froze, everything was in a standstill, She noticed it just a second now and looks around as her dream self was standing behind her and says,

"W-Why *sniff* would Sis *sniff* do that."

Shocked from making contact with her dream self she backs away from her innocent self uttering the words "No, stay away!"

Dream Annie: Why was I left here to die?

Annie: NO! you weren't!

Dream Annie: This doesn't make sense... why would Si--!

Annie: STOOOOOOOOOOOOPPPPPPP!!!!!!

She finally woke up, she wipes the tears from her eyes and stands up from her bed and looks around, she was ready to hit him if he was listening to her if she was sleep talking.

But no one was around, she lets out a sigh of relief but at the same time felt a strange feeling of uneasiness.

She goes outside the hut and sees Tazer watching at the clay people trying to get out of the forest, they were like mindless zombies, besides the fact they can hit, or use their arms and weapons.

Tazer greets her with a "Good morning." she responds the same, she sits right next beside him as she asks,

Annie: T-Tazer... was I talking in my sleep?

He looks at her with his cold eyes and closes them, lets out a sigh and says,

"No.. you weren't and even if you were I'd probably go sleep outside."

She chuckles out of relief but feels the uneasiness she felt earlier upon realizing he wasn't there with her when she woke up.

Tazer: I wanted revenge you know..

Annie: Huh?

Tazer: I wanted more power so I could prove to my parents that I'm better at something than my brother.

Annie was confused but somehow know's what Tazer is saying relates to how he became a villain and the reasons for him becoming one.

"When I was young, I would always be compared to my big brother, saying "He's always good with this, always good with that" while I was beaten by my Father all because my brother was better than me, they never even gave me a chance to show them that I too can do good like my brother."

Annie sympathizes with him just from listening to his backstory,

"So I tried training by myself in secret, but in the end it was all pointless as my brother would easily beat me... a few days later when I was thrown out of the house for being a nobody like my Father said, I saw a poster that said "Wanna get stronger? just come to the lab at eight street" I was desperate so I went towards it, but never realized what I got into was something larger."

Tazer: I was experimented on for months, I couldn't escape the lab, I was being tracked by them, I didn't know that this would happen, time by time I was starting to forget the reasons why I came here, where I came from.. but all I remembered was that I wanted power to prove something .. but to who was I suppose to prove that from?.

"A few months later someone mysteriously releases us from the custody of those stupid scientists"

Tazer yelled as he shot a burst of electricity and busted down the door.

"Huh!? I'm gonna do what the hell I want!!."

Tazer: I got out, but I couldn't remember how I got there, so I look up the files in the computer while the chaos was happening, I managed to find my folder and everything I lost was there, I remembered why I wanted power, to whom I would prove my worth to, but as I went back at my house..

Their house was burned to the ground, three dead bodies were inside, and what seems to be his older brother's skeleton, was holding Tazer's favorite toy...

Tazer: I lost everything that day.. I walked and walked until some gang tried to kill me.. I then remembered the power I got and used it on them.. I thought I could've ruled the whole kingdom just from the power I gained..

Annie scoffs from what Tazer thought and said "Keep going.. pfft keep going."

Tazer: But as you can see here, I got beaten by someone even stronger than me.. and here I am with a girl I chose to be my partner, the partner I'll be getting out with and hopefully make a fresh start in life.

Annie was shocked to hear him say "make a fresh start" and not go back to being a villain, she asked,

Annie: Fresh start? you're not going to go back doing villainy things?

Tazer: I mean what's the point? I tried being a villain and that failed me, so by doing something new I can see if this is the right path I choose or not, since we all live once, If there is a God then making me survive that battle means I've been given a chance to walk a rig... no not the right path but the only path that I can take.

Annie: Hmmm the only path for me huh?

Meanwhile the 1st, 2nd and 3rd were having a discussion about the 2nd's second round.

1st: Is it really okay 3rd!?

3rd: I don't see why not? just don't over do it 2nd

2nd: Wait! before you go, you can still see their inner thoughts right?

3rd: *silence* yes I still can.

2nd: Any changes?

3rd: The thought he's been carrying with him ever since he met the girl is still accurate, he still wants to protect her.

2nd: and the girl?

3rd: Well she's still having trouble trusting him completely.

1st: Hmmm this could be bad, if those two leave the tower and go their separate ways who knows what will happen to the future.

3rd: That's why the 2nd's plan must go on, or we are all doomed from the future that's about to come.

2nd: Thank you, I'll begin as soon as possible.

3rd: Don't over do it 2nd.

They end the call as the 2nd stares at both Tazer and Annie from a far and reads the information they have on both of them and says to herself,

"Still has trouble trusting people aye?."
