Chapter 57: Second Floor

Tazer: Geez what is it with this place having a lot of forests!

Annie: I don't know, but we're almost out, if we could reach the third floor and win the test we could finally go back outside to society!.

In the deep part of the forests villains were on the floor, unconscious, some were dead, some were loosing limbs and legs.

As a girl with black hair as long as her body, covered in blood smiles as she says,

"Looks like they're here."

Tazer and Annie proceeded to enter the forest, it was dark, but not so much that they couldn't see, no that wasn't the case, there were little bits of sunlight that breached the formation of the leaves at least giving anyone inside the forest some light to see.

The best way to survive is walk around the forest and not go through it, but if you want to get out of here you have to take the test that requires you to be in the forest.

Annie skips around as she was enjoying the beautiful scenery like a child on a trip, she was really enjoying herself.

Tazer: You some kid or something? Remember other villains might be here if you've forgotten.

Annie: True, but I have you to protect me right?

Tazer: Tchh [When did this happen?] Anyways just be aware of your surroundings.

Annie: Right, Right.

She climbs up the tree to get a birds eye view as she was curious, her face was at awe to see the scenery meanwhile Tazer turns around and removes his prosthetic arms and places them on the floor.

He ignites his Electrical claws and made his stance, while Annie above noticed Tazer and said to herself [Is there an enemy near by?] She takes a look from where she is from above and remembers,

"Oh wait I can just use my power for this!."

She punches her head gently as she scans the area for any other lifeforms, basically like how a snake would detect it's prey because of heat, that's how Annie detects other people in the area, but her range is quite limited due to how young she still is.

She yells from above to Tazer,

"There are three heading from your right!."

He heard her loud and clear and was simply waiting for them to show up in front of him so he could interrogate and ask for information.

Tazer waited and waited, but no one was coming he takes a look above at Annie and says,

"I thought you said they're coming?."

Annie: They stopped!

Tazer: Ehh!? should've told me that soo---!

Annie: They're coming your way now!

Tazer prepares for the attack from the right, but instead he was hit by a wooden stick from the left, while Annie from above was panicking from what just happened.

Annie: How did she? no one can get past my power unless they're dead!.

Tazer: I'll tear you apart for landing a hit on me!

He again gets hit from the right with a sword made of stone, the pain he felt was increasing, one by one, from the left and right, he'd get hit by the same person, while at Annie's point of view she's seeing a lot of people popping out of nowhere.

(From her point of view she's watching the whole area as if she was a radar, that's what using her power is like, she closes her eyes and focuses, and the next thing she sees is like a radar, it only detects heat, dead things like weapons, or robots don't appear on her power)

Annie: [Why do they keep on popping up!? Where did these people come from!?]

She was slowly loosing focus and panicking from the situation, Tazer couldn't land a hit, for he couldn't have a chance to land one as they kept on hitting him relentlessly with no rest.

Annie then noticed one individual far from the rest as she believes to be the leader she yells back to Tazer about the individual but as she notices on her radar that one is heading towards her,

She turns around and sees it with her eyes, right in front of her was a person who was about to kill her, she averts her eyes from being killed and hears a thunderous explosion, as the branch she was stepping on breaks she falls towards the ground.

And Tazer catches her, all beaten up he still tried to rescue her, he leapt from tree branch to tree branch to escape their mysterious attackers.

Tazer: So where did those *coughs* people come from? you got a clear view from top right? so they had to move from somewhere.

Annie: Well my power lets me see people's heat like a radar, but for some reason those people just came out of nowhere as if it's magic.

Tazer: Power eh? You mean like how a snake sees?

Annie: Yes, but when it's something or someone that is cold it doesn't appear on my radar, Ah yes I remembered! there was someone straight from here who was far from our last position I believe....

Tazer: It's the leader! hang on tight!

While carrying her, Tazer leaps from tree branch to tree branch with more speed than normal while Annie who was using her power couldn't see their attackers anymore but could still see the one individual who they thought to be the leader.

They were getting closer and closer, Annie's eyes widened from the fact the one person they were heading to disappeared from her radar and was behind them all along.

Annie: [Were we heading the wrong way? *nods* I was certain It was right infront of us, How!?]

Tazer stops and catches his breath for a few minutes as he asks,

Tazer: What's wrong? did something happened?

Annie: It disappeared.

Tazer: HUUH!!?!?!?

Annie: I was sure it was front of us but now my radar's telling it was from behind us all along

Tazer: [Hmm could it be possible the enemy knows her power to track other people's temperature? if so] Annie you said it was behind us right?

Annie: *Nods in agreement*

Tazer: Then we'll continue heading to the front

Confused, Tazer picked her up and continued heading towards it's first location which was right in front of them.

Annie which was relying too much on her radar faced a situation new to her that she couldn't control herself from breaking apart.

They were getting closer and closer the last location it was from before it disappeared and was said to be behind them.

Tazer: It was here right?

Annie: Why are yo--!

Tazer: Right!?

Annie: EEEKKKK! Yup just up ahead.

Tazer: *Chuckles* Well then! here we go!!

They enter unto a glade and see a table with an umbrella, with a girl with black hair sitting and waved at their arrival.

They land from the ground and puts her down,

Tazer: Who are you!

She was silent and wasn't paying attention to their arrival what so ever and takes a sip on her cup.

Filled with rage from being ignored Annie grabbed his hand and he calmed down he asked again,

"Who are you?."

2nd: See, if you ask nicely I'm sure people would respond to you. I knew you could do it.

Tazer: Tchh

Annie: Umm excuse me, who are you, and this is the second floor right?

2nd: My Yes this is the second floor, and you're in the presence of the 2nd member of the Executioners squad, the name's Madeline nice to meet you, the test for the second floor begins now.
