Chapter 50: Surprise

It was a Saturday morning, Arthur was simply waiting for Dorothy to get dressed already in the living room while Anna was on the floor coloring something.

She was humming a tune Dorothy would sing to her right before bed, he smiles upon seeing her hum while coloring at the same time he tried to peek at what she's coloring.

When she turns around and lets out a shriek that made Arthur's ears bled he backed away saying,

"Okay! Okay! I won't look, why can't I look?."

Anna: You just can't Papa!

with nothing else to do but wait he tried to peek once again, Anna didn't even needed to look and know what he's doing, she lets out a sigh and stands up.

She was in attack mode as she showed her sharp nails and her sharp teeth Arthur was slowly backing away saying,

"Okay! Okay! I'm going."

Dorothy then comes out of the room as Anna was so filled with joy to see her Mama, she took her colored output and shown it to her, meanwhile Arthur was at the corner sitting mumbling to himself,

"Why can't I see *Sniff* *Sniff*."

Dorothy: Arthur, I'm ready now.

He's fully recovered from his moping time and filled with joy he grabbed her arm as she says,

"Saya, we'll be going now please take care of the room and Anna for us, Thanks!."

Dorothy: No! wait Arthur!!

as they got out they could hear her punching Arthur really hard, meanwhile Saya says to Anna,

"That's basically normal."

Dorothy enters the room once again as before she closes the door Arthur was outside unconscious sitting on a chair.

Dorothy: Anna be kind to Saya okay, you have to listen to her the same way you listen to us okay.

She nodded and gave her a smile as Dorothy gave her a kiss on the forehead and went to the door.

Dorothy: Well see you later Anna, Saya don't burn yourself from overcharging.

Anna: Don't worry Mama, I'll help keep an eye on her too.

Saya reacted out of concern but waved goodbye to Dorothy as she left She then turned to Anna and asked,

"You wanna eat something?."

Anna: *Nods* Please make spaghetti!

Arthur and Dorothy were at the street heading towards their destination, the streets were crowded with people, cars passing by the minute, a few heroes walking around the area it was another busy day in the Kingdom of Arondight.

He notices someone familiar in the crowd as he walks towards her Dorothy brows furrowed,

"Where is he going?."

She follows him either way, Once Arthur grabbed the person, she turned around and he was glad,

"Liz can we um talk for a bit?."

She was shocked and embarrassed at the same time as she was thinking of something else of what he meant.

He then notices a few of the citizens looking afraid of what's behind him, some were running away from the area, he then hears a terrifying voice [A-R-T-H-U-R] He felt a shiver towards his whole body as he slowly turns around and sees Dorothy walking towards him furious,

As she takes one step it would leave cracks on the ground, Her eyes with the intent to kill, her hands producing cracking sounds, she tilts her head,

"Would you care to explain what this is going on about."

Arthur: Wait! You don't get i--!.

Dorothy: I don't get it? I'm going to kill you right now Arthur and tell Anna you had an accident.

Arthur: That's a bit too much Dorothy and ... Would you care to listen to what I have to say!?.

Not listening to a word he says, she plunges towards Arthur, instead of dodging he leapt and caught her mid air as he whispers to her ear,

"Calm yourself Dorothy, she was the one who saved Anna a few days ago."

As she realizes and gets a good look at the person who saved her daughter, she was shocked and said to herself [Impossible] while Arthur replied,

"I know, but I wanna thank her for what she did for our little girl, don't you wanna too?."

They land on the ground safely, Dorothy gets down and bows her head to Liz,

"Can we go somewhere else?."

As Dorothy and Arthur looked around them and they were the center of attraction to the people, their faces became as bright red as a tomato.

Dorothy, Arthur and Liz went to a restaurant that just opened a few days ago while they were ordering, they weren't aware that Dorothy have met some of the people who were already eating there,

They enter the restaurant and Dorothy's first look managed spot a group of people she's faced before.

"Hey Leader, Frenda says going to need new equipment."

Their leader looked the other way as Kix was confused he looked at Frenda who was sitting next to her and did the same thing, Kix and Bones turned around and at the entrance they saw Dorothy and ducked both their heads, She basically still remembers them from the time at the Darkness organization factory that one night.

They were all looking the other ways or simply hiding their faces by using the food menu.

Arthur and Liz passes by as Dorothy stops at Gwyn and her team's table, She then lets out a sigh and says,

"And what do you want?."

Dorothy: Nothing, bye.

She then left as Gwyn was confused Kix who was hiding his face then says,

"What was her deal?."

Frenda: Idiot, consider her showing us mercy

Frenda points out at the window as Kix turns around and sees a bunch of Heroes outside.

Kix: You mean?

Bones: She could've told the heroes about us and boom it'd be over.

Kix: Doesn't matter we can take em dow--!

Frenda places tape all over Kix's mouth to silence him, Bones lets out a sigh of relief and says,

"Thanks Frenda."

Gwyn then says: Let's just enjoy our time here, besides this is the last time I let you pick a restaurant!

as Kix mumbles and becomes sad of his actions, Dorothy caught up to Arthur and Liz who were at the counter, Arthur then notices Dorothy and asks,

"Where have you been?."

"I went to go to the bathroom."

She gave him a smile as a few minutes later they found a table and we're already eating Arthur then says,

"Thank you by the way, for saving our little girl."

Dorothy was busy eating the delicious food while Arthur already started the conversation,

"Oh? It was nothing I just happened to be passing by that time and decided to help."

Dorothy then stares at Liz and says,

"But in the process you got hurt, we're sorry and Thank you very much."

Liz didn't know what to react but continued biting on her burger, Arthur then says,

"You've been helping ever since she came into our lives."

Upon hearing this Dorothy said [What?] as she never heard of it before,

"You were the one who told me to look up about her past right?."

Liz then remembers that time and still continues munching down on her burger, and at the same time Dorothy and Arthur bowed their heads and says at the same time,

"Thank you so much Liz, we can never repay how much you've done for us."

Liz: You're Welcome, but enough thanking me I'm just glad she's safe.

Arthur continued eating while Dorothy was thinking something, She wasn't sure about this yet but she has to because it's for Anna.

"Hey Liz, do you wanna come over to our room and play with Anna for a bit?."

Arthur: That's a great idea! I'm sure Anna would love to see you.

Liz: Oh no, I can't

Dorothy: Please, I'm sure it'll make Anna happy to see you.

She begged for Liz to accept and it looked she had no choice as she herself also wanted to visit Anna at times after they got out from the hospital, Liz was still hesitant as Arthur then says,

"Please Liz, do it for me."

Dorothy: Ehhh?? I never told you that?

Liz was laughing to see them interact with each other so perfectly matched and thought how a life with Arthur would've been for her and says,

"Alright I will."

She was still chuckling as Dorothy was pinching Arthur's leg and by that point he already knew what she would say to him later.

After eating, Dorothy ordered a take out meal just for Saya and Anna back home, and once they were done they pass by Gwyn and her team again but only Dorothy was the one who knew them.

and in that table Kix was already full and asleep, Bones was calculating their total payment, Frenda was building a gadget on the table and Gwyn was simply staring at the window,

As she passes by them, Kix wakes up shocked and confused,

"What!? where am I!?."

Bones: *Sighs* Look what you did

Kix: Sorry

Frenda: Geez how much more damage could you do asleep Kix?

Gywn then stretches her arms and says,

"We have a new mission from Hq."

Bones: Really!?

Frenda: Perfect timing for me to be making new things, what are the details of this mission?

Gwyn: I don't know yet, I'll still get the card from Hq so right after this we'll be going directly to Hq no side quests alright.

as everyone in the table laughed out loud from the way she used side quest as if they were on a medieval adventure Gwyn was frustrated and yelled,

"Shut up!!!!."

Dorothy and Arthur got back to their room and Anna was waiting at the front door for them,

"Welcome Home, Mama, Papa!."

She gives them a hug as Dorothy hands her the box filled with the take out food, Anna was so excited to eat it as Saya takes the box and says,

"You'll eat this at the table."

and walks away, when Anna was about to follow Saya towards the table to eat her lunch Arthur says,

"Anna, someone's here for you."

She was curious to who could be the someone who's here for her, she tilts her head and slowly walks outside the room and sees Liz walking towards her holding a guest pass by the dorms.

With overwhelming joy she rushes towards Liz and gave her a hug, Arthur placed his shoulder over Dorothy's and the two watch as Anna sees Liz again.

Anna: I'm so glad I could see you again Liz.

Liz: Same here, how are you?

Anna: I'm fine, Mama and Papa brought food wanna come eat with us?

Liz: Sure, well I did tell you I know them, right?

Anna: Oh yeah! let's get going!.

She pulls Liz's hand and leads her inside their room, right before Arthur and Dorothy were about to enter the room Carla comes running towards them yelling out,

"My King! My King! I have a letter for you?."

She was clearly exhausted from running as Arthur takes the letter, he takes a look at it and sees the Student Council sign on it.

Arthur himself has heard about the student council in their school, but has never seen one of them yet, He reads the letter and was shock to read what was written on it.

Dorothy: What does it say?

Arthur: They want me at the gym tomorrow.
