Annihilation: T2

The alien machines, otherwise known as T2s arrived earth to destroy the human technology. They were sent by the professed progenitors who claimed that the human technology was interfering with their conducts. The government went huff and puff to blow down the machines and restore orders, but lost everything to the fiery balls, T2s. Amongst these citizens was a professor who claimed to have a solution to the problem and could stop human beings from being annihilated. Like you would guess, the government wouldn't take his words. He left the urban areas with followers his movement had earned him. The Professor and his followers kept traveling as far as possible from the urban areas. In their search, they met the Curtish people, uncivilized folks, who were having problems with Manganis, evil apes. The professor professed to have a solution to their problems too but demanded a favor. Can the humankind survive without technology? How far can the Curtish people go pleasing the urban folks? Will the apes really take a bargain? Will the two species of humankind live together in peace or prey on each other's weaknesses?

32 - The Professor's Sheeps Migrate from Rhodes Island to a Jungle

Rhodes Island. The Professor's Sheeps.

"It's now up to us to choose what is life and what is not. Wisdom doesn't reside in the strength of our thoughts but how alive they are. Would we have to stress it over and over again how suicidal it is outside there in the cities? Of course I'm sure that many of you who used to have live there and migrated here can tell the horrific tale. As well as those who have siblings and quite the numbers of families there. It is because you do not trust how well and how much the safehouses of your government will save you. The efficiency has not been proven. Not even by those who created them. If I say that you've chosen the right path by coming to meet the Professor on the Rhodes Island, I would seem egoistic. Far be it, let us fight for our lives. Only those who stick to the plans and instructions would have all the course to be alive. For the new ones who recently joined, be sure to go by what the populace say because they are inspired by my words. That we do not have a cure does not mean we do not have a choice."

"No cure?"

Someone from the crowd called. Some few men beside the bounty bearded fellow who had interrupted the Professor covered his mouth and tucked his body under the weight of all those around him.

No one would argue with the fact that sooner or later, the fellow would gasp for hair in vain and would suffocate to death.

Of course the Professor had not asked those fellows to kill or harm others and definitely he wouldn't see everything happening.

Only when he got to know what happened, he would lash out punishments - heavy ones - on the culprits.

The Professor continued,

"T2 is the name of the alien machines once again and they have been sent simply to carry out a simple task: destroy all technological products and those in their ways. These machines were not only programmed, they were aliens converted into machines of their own will. Few things could be done to have them in their old state again. "

The professor blew his nose off the phlegm and continued.

You could tell from the way the people were behaving. Some were even willing to lick, suck and take in his phlegm; the mucus.

"Rhodes Island is no longer safe. Many know about it and are coming in with several technological products. There are a certain numbers of products which would drive the T2s here and destroy us all. And I'm sure we do not want that. Hence, we leave the Rhodes Island. The Means of transportation won't be by ships or ferries. Twould only be by canoes with paddles. And we all know that we can't get that many canoes for the tens of thousands here. Therefore, some would have to swim."

He paused for some whiles and shook his head in appreciation of the patience of the audience standing under the rage of the sassy sun. He concluded,

"Watch out for predators. If you survive the waters you've survived for life. We migrate to either a desert, jungle or forest. Whichever is the first we see. We'll have companies. Fed them the gospel and stay alive."

The Professor quit talking and headed for his own canoe with those surrounding him. Those close to being his friends.

He got on while the populace waited. Then the drama began.

Many wanted to get on the canoes but there were certain numbers of people a typical canoe can take.

And imagine, just fifty canoes were there at that moment.

They all were at the bank of the lake that would take them to the other end of the island.

Many had removed their clothes for the swimming expedition while some had retreated to make canoes for themselves.

Some definitely would return to the city to sieve their chances of getting admitted into the safehouses.

The struggles were at the prime and only the determined would survive.
