Trust anyone

"You know, the more I see Griselda, the less that I trust her" said Maddie as she looked at Annie.

"And why is that?" asked Annie as she handed Maddie the knife as they were both in the kitchen.

"Well didn't you say that she is a seer, who sees all and knows all right?" asked Maddie.

"Well yes" said Annie as she nodded her head.

"Then that probably means that she has seen everything and she knows everything about us, then if she showed up today at the training grounds, it was not aa coincidence, but she knew that she would find us there at that time" said Maddie.

"Well I didn't think of it like that, and I highly doubt it, I mean why would she want to pretend?" asked Annie.

"Well you tell me, you cannot be sure of anyone" said Maddie in a matter of fact tone as she shook her head and she sighed.

"Well I don't think so, Griselda did tell me that she cannot see the future clearly sometimes, so I don't think that she knows everything like that" said Annie as she shook her head.

"Well alright Annie, whatever you say" said Maddie.

"Do you need help?" asked Annie.

"Nope, I am all good here, why don't you go do something fun?" asked Maddie as she smiled.

"Fun like what?" asked Annie as she smiled.

"I don't know, go talk to Curtis or Matt" said Maddie as she laughed.

"I have everything under control here, so I am fine, you can go" said Maddie as she smiled.

"Well alright, if you say so" said Annie as she smiled and Maddie smiled at her as Annie walked out of the kitchen and she saw Matt sitting alone in the dining room.

"What are you doing?" asked Annie as she smiled and she sat down beside him.

"I'm trying to adjust my hearing" said Matt.

"You can do that?" asked Annie in surprise.

"That's what I am trying to find out, if I will be able to adjust my hearing to pay attention to one thing at a time" said Matt as he looked at Annie and he smiled.

"Is that actually possible?" asked Annie.

"I think that it is, after all my dad has the same hearing that I do, and he doesn't go crazy from all the noise, so he must have some way to adjust his hearing, I'm just trying to figure that out" said Matt.

"Oh well good luck with that, I should go so I don't disturb you" said Annie as she smiled.

"No you can stay" said Matt as he smiled.

"I can?" asked Annie.

"Yes, being alone is boring anyway" said Matt as he laughed and Annie laughed.

"That is true" said Annie.

"I thought you were helping Maddie in the kitchen?" asked Matt.

"Well I was, but she told me that she had everything under control and that I should go and have fun" said Annie as she laughed.

"You know how Maddie is" said Matt as he laughed.

"Yes, so where is Curtis?" asked Annie as she smiled.

"Well he went out, I don't know where to" said Matt.

"Okay, and Prince Oliver?" asked Annie as she smiled.

"I don't know where he is" said Matt as Annie laughed.

"I thought you would, you both seem very close" said Annie as she smiled.

"Are you jealous?" asked Matt as he laughed.

"Oh no, no Matt stop joking, why would I be jealous?" asked Annie as she laughed and Matt laughed.

"Anyway, I was speaking to Prince Oliver, and he sounded really annoyed that we still call him Prince Oliver" said Matt as he laughed.

"Really?" asked Annie in confusion as Matt nodded.

"Oh I do remember that he doesn't want us to call his Prince Oliver, I actually forgot that" said Annie as she laughed.

"Well he's really annoyed about that" said Matt.

"I'm sorry, I didn't know that" said Annie as she laughed.

"Hey you guys" said Ollie as he smiled and he walked into the dining room.

"Hi Ollie" said Annie as she smiled.

"It's Ollie" said Ollie out of instinct as he realized what Annie said.

"Wait, what did you call me?" asked Ollie.

"Ollie??" asked Annie in confusion.

"You called me Ollie, finally" said Ollie as he smiled and he hugged Annie as she laughed and she looked at Matt who was laughing as well.

"Finally, so does that mean that I am finally part of the friend group?" asked Ollie as he stopped hugging Annie."

"Weren't you already part of the friend group?" asked Annie in confusion.

"Yes, I mean, you practically forced yourself into the friend group, not like we mind" said Matt.

"Oh very funny, well now I know that I am truly accepted" said Ollie as he smiled.

"You are silly" said Annie as she laughed and Ollie laughed.

"What going on in here?" asked Maddie as she walked into the dining room.

"Oh Ollie was just telling us something very funny" said Annie as she laughed.

"Ollie??" asked Maddie in nothing but confusion.

"Yes Ollie" said Annie as she nodded her head.

"Who the heck is Ollie?" asked Maddie.

"Umm I'm right here" said Ollie as he spoke up and Maddie looked at him.

"I didn't ask you blondie" said Maddie in annoyance.

"What's going on here? Last time I checked, this blondie was not called that" said Maddie as she looked at Annie and Matt.

"Maddie, can you relax a bit you are making a big deal out of nothing" said Matt.

"No, I am not making a big deal out of nothing" said Maddie as she felt betrayed, she had been gone for like 2 seconds, and when she returned, Ollie had turned her friends against her to be on his side, they were now calling him Ollie?? Like just where did that come from all of a sudden it was so unfair.

"Maddie, relax you are" said Annie.

"I think that we are free to call anyone in the way that we want to address them" said Matt.

"Thank you Matt, you are very right" said Ollie as he agreed and he nodded his head.

"No, this is not right at all, this is nothing but betrayal" said Maddie.

"Maddie, don't be like that" said Annie as she shook her head.

"No Annie, don't you dare say anything, because that's like you being gone for like 2 seconds, and when you return, I am suddenly best friends with someone that we don't even like" said Maddie.

"Maddie, it's not like that at all" said Matt.

"Oh no you stop right there Matt, you are a traitor" said Maddie as Matt sighed, he had tried to make her see reason, but she was just so very stubborn.

"Maddie please don't be like that, it's just a name" said Annie.

"A name which Is like a nickname, can't you see that this is all part of his plan, he wants to be in the friend group no matter what" said Maddie as Annie shook her head.

"You know what, I don't have time for this, I am going to be the mature one here" said Maddie as Ollie scoffed, she was anything but mature.

"Well Blondie, you got what you want, but I will never ever like you, so get that into your head" said Maddie as she looked at Ollie and she scoffed as she walked away.

"She just needs to cool down" said Matt as Annie looked worried.

"I don't know why she sees me as the enemy, we are on the same side after all" said Ollie as he sighed.

"Well Maddie is just like that, and you can't change her mind when she already has an idea in there" said Matt as he replied.

"I just hope that she won't do anything dangerous" said Annie in worry.

"I doubt that she will Annie, Maddie is not that childish, she is actually very responsible, so she will be fine" said Matt.

"I hope so" said Annie as Curtis walked into the room.

"What's going on here, I just saw Maddie, and she looks very upset" said Curtis as he sat down beside Annie.

"Maddie is upset because we called Prince Oliver Ollie" said Annie as he explained and Curtis looked like he had just heard nothing but pure nonsense.

"Wait, let me get this straight, she is angry because you called someone by their name?" asked Curtis as Ollie laughed.

"Well when you put it like that Curtis, it is actually very funny" said Ollie as he laughed.

"Maddie should get over it" said Curtis as he was not about to go and settle some silly dispute between Maddie and Ollie, the both of them just needed to get more serious, they were behaving as if they were children, and that annoyed Curtis a lot.

"Thank you Curtis, at least you are on my side" said Ollie as he smiled.

"I am not on anyone's side" replied Curtis simply as Ollie laughed.
