"Here dad, this is the fake blood" said Matt as he handed Lucas a cup and he handed one to Henry as well.

"Tell us how It tastes in comparison to normal blood, and also if you feel any side effects your Majesty" said Ollie.

Now that Annie thought about it, she did not think that it was a good idea to test this fake blood of theirs on two grown royal vampires for that matter, but well it was too late to stop them now, they had both already drank the blood.

"So…?" asked Maddie as she looked at Lucas and Henry who both looked at each other.

"Well it tastes, like blood, or I mean, the last time I tasted blood it does taste like it" said Lucas as he nodded his head and Ollie smiled, that was mission successful wasn't it.

"Grandfather" said Matt as he looked at Henry, he needed a second opinion.

"Well it tastes like practically nothing to me" said Henry as he laughed.

"I think that's because of your age father, it does have a subtle taste" said Lucas.

"You may be right my boy" said Lucas as he smiled and he nodded.

"And does it make you feel energetic or satisfied?" asked Maddie as they got the taste down, now they needed to make sure that it was actual able to serve its purpose, which was to provide energy to vampires.

"Well it does taste refreshing that's for sure, but I feel no major different, maybe because I am a mature vampire, and I also don't crave for blood" said Lucas as Henry nodded, he felt the same, over the years he had lost the taste for it, It was unnecessary in this day and age, it was only because Evie needed to drink it since she was young, and this was her first craving experience.

Usually with the little ones, they would be fed blood when they were born, but Evie wasn't and hence her excess thirst for it.

"Well that answers one question" said Maddie.

"But most importantly, do you feel any different? Like any side effects?" asked Annie as Lucas and Henry both looked at her.

"Well no, none that I can feel" said Lucas.

"I just feel the same way I feel when I drink blood" said Henry in a simple tone.

"So that means that we were successful right?" asked Maddie.

"No, not yet, we need to test it on one more vampire" said Ollie as everyone looked at him.

"Jacob can come and confirm what we are saying" said Lucas.

"I will go and call him then" said Matt as he walked out of the lab.

"I mean with the two feedbacks we received, I think that the fake blood Is fine" said Maddie.

"We still need to test it Maddie, Evie isn't a mature vampire, she might get some side effects if she drinks this blood and we are not sure of what it does" said Annie as Ollie agreed with her and so did Curtis.

"Annie is right, we just want to make sure that we avoid any unnecessary problems" said Curtis as Maddie knew that they were all right.

"So?" asked Matt as everyone looked at Jacob as he drank the fake blood.

"I mean, it tastes like normal animal blood" said Jacob.

"With a hint of deer, right?" asked Lucas.

"Yes, a hint of deer, but then again, that might just be the smell" said Jacob as he laughed.

"That should be because we used the components from deer blood, but we didn't think that you would notice" said Maddie as Lucas, Henry and Jacob laughed.

"No we can notice Maddie, it's a vampire's nose, we can tell what type of blood we are drinking from the smell" said Jacob as he laughed.

"Well let's just hope that Evie doesn't smell anything, or else, she won't drink it" said Lucas as he laughed.

"So no side effects?" asked Annie as Jacob looked at her and he shook his head.

"None" replied Jacob.

"So mission accomplished?" asked Maddie as she looked at Annie.

"Mission accomplished" said Annie as she laughed.

"You know, honestly, I was waiting for this to fail, but since we are successful, I feel happy" said Maddie as everyone laughed.

"What?" asked Maddie.

"I don't get why everyone is laughing, I only spoke the truth" said Maddie.

"And that's why we are laughing dear, you always say what is on your mind" said Henry as he laughed, he just loved these children, they were so creative, he in his many years, had never thought of something like fake blood, but they did think about it, and they actually created something very advanced that could change the future of the realm drastically.

"Well we should get this to Evie, she's the one very eager to see if it actually works" said Annie as she laughed.

"Yes, we should go to her, before she goes overboard again" said Maddie as she laughed.

"*Ugh*" said Evie as she groaned, she just felt so hungry, she felt like she was losing her sanity little by little, she could hear her stomach rumbling.

Filling her stomach with water did not help at all, if anything, it made her feel even more thirsty and even more hungry, she could not take it anymore.

Evie closed her eyes as she heard the door to the room open and she sniffed as she could smell Matt's scent, which was weird, this was the first time that her sense of smell was so strong.

"Matt??" asked Evie as she continued to close her eyes.

"Yes Evie, It's me, how do you feel?" asked Matt.

"Terrible, on the verge of losing my sanity, please tell me that you, Annie, Maddie, Curtis and Prince Oliver are here with good news" said Evie as she could smell the rest of them as they entered into the room as well.

"Well we do" said Matt as he looked at Annie who handed him a clear plastic bag that had the clear fake blood in it.

"Evie, you have to open your eyes and drink this" said Matt as Evie groaned.

"Is it the fake blood?" asked Evie.

"Yes it is" said Matt as Evie felt a bit relieved, she was right close to blood, and yes, she could not smell the blood at all.

"Is it red?" asked Evie.

"No Evie it's not" said Matt.

"Then what colour is it?" asked Evie.

"Open your eyes Evie and look for yourself" said Matt as Evie opened her eyes and he handed her the clear bag as she looked at it with doubt.

"Are you sure that this is blood and just not water?" asked Evie.

"It's blood Evie, now please drink it" said Maddie with a smile.

"Why is it in a bag?" asked Evie.

"Because dad said it would help your fangs have something to sink into so they can be controlled, now are you going to drink it or not?" asked Matt as he could tell that Evie started to look paler than usual.

"Alright fine, here goes nothing" said Evie as she used her fangs to poke the bag as she sucked the fake blood in the bag and she sucked it dry as she suddenly felt instantly better and her eyes shimmered red for a while before they returned to blue once again.

"So how do you feel now?" asked Curtis.

"Better!" said Evie.

"I mean way much better, seriously better" said Evie as she got out of bed and Matt sighed in relief and so did Annie and Maddie.

Evie looked instantly better, her skin was no longer pale, and she looked like she had energy.

"It actually worked, although it tasted like nothing at all, even water has a taste and this thing doesn't" said Evie.

"Well we worked specifically on that" said Ollie as he smiled.

"Oh you guys are the best, thank you for doing this for me, I knew that I could count on you guys" said Evie as she smiled, she just felt so much better, so full of energy that she could climb up the tallest tree right now, and best of all, her fangs were gone once again.

"You are welcome Evie" said Annie as she smiled.

"We didn't like seeing you like that" said Maddie as she smiled.

"Besides, this was a nice challenge" said Ollie as he smiled.

"Curtis, I think that we should make many batches of the blood, you know, just in case you need to drink more" said Ollie.

"I agree" said Curtis.

"Well that should be later, I am tired, so tired" said Maddie.

"Same here" said Annie as she laughed.

"Oh you guys, thank you so much, so much" said Evie as she hugged Annie, Maddie, and then Matt and Ollie, and finally Curtis.

"You are welcome Evie, you know that we all care about you" said Matt as he smiled, he was just glad that she was back to her usual fun loving self.
