Calm down

"Woah Annie, your powers, they are back" said Maddie as she smiled happily and she looked at Annie, her powers were back, if that wasn't clear from the way that she was speaking, and her glowing eyes, and the way that she took care of all those rogues in an instant, then Maddie did not know what was.

"Annie" called Matt as for some reason he felt like Annie was not herself, she was strange he could feel it.

"Umm are her eyes supposed to be glowing purple like that?" asked Ollie as Annie could not see clearly and she could not hear them at all, their voices all came out muffled, and through her eyes, they looked like dark silhouettes in a purple space.

"She's not responding to us, Curtis, is she okay?" asked Matt as he looked at Curtis in worry and Curtis looked at him.

Annie turned around as her eyes caught the eternal springs and she lifted her hand in that direction as in the same moment a purple barrier covered the springs.

"Umm Curtis, I don't think that she can hear us, do something" said Maddie as now she was worried.

"Annie, Annie look over here" called Curtis as Annie could hear his voice and she turned to look at him with her eyes still glowing.

"Annie are you in there?" asked Curtis as Annie nodded and Curtis sighed in relief.

"Annie, you need to calm down" said Curtis.

"How can I calm down Curtis? How can I? when they all need to pay, they need to pay" said Annie as her voice came out as a shaking echo.

"Annie, you need to calm down, no one will hurt you here, there is no one here except us" said Curtis as he needed her to calm down, she was angry right now, and he could feel it.

"No, don't tell me to calm down, don't" said Annie again.

"What's wrong with her?" asked Maddie in worry as she looked at Curtis.

"She's angry, in rage, furious" replied Curtis.

"Why?" asked Matt.

"She must have seen something for her to get like this, but we have to find a way to calm her down, or else she will explode with the kind of strong emotion that she is feeling right now" said Curtis as Maddie, Matt and Ollie all looked worried.

"Annie" called Ollie.

"Annie it's your friends, Ollie, Matt and Maddie" said Ollie.

"She can't hear you clearly" said Curtis as Annie looked around at them.

"Annie, come on you have to snap out of it, this isn't you" said Maddie as Annie looked at her.

"Curtis I don't think it's working what do we do?" asked Maddie as suddenly they started to feel a great heat around them.

"I think she's overheating" said Ollie.

"Annie, you have to relax" said Matt as he walked over to Annie as he tried to touch her but she moved away.

"I don't think you should try that, she might think that you are an enemy" said Curtis.

"Annie, can you please calm down, there are no enemies here" said Curtis.

"I can't calm down Curtis, they need to pay all of them for killing innocent people, they need to pay" said Annie as her voice was laced with more anger.

"Annie, calm down, we are your friends, if you don't calm down, you are going to end up destroying everyone and everything" said Curtis as he tried to walk closer to Annie and she moved back.

"No Curtis, don't come near me, you only want to stop me" said Annie.

"Annie, that's not you talking, that's your anger talking, that's not you, the people that you say they need to pay, they also have families just like you do, they have friends, they don't deserve to die now one deserves to die" said Curtis as Annie looked at him with a contemplating gaze.

"You know it's true Annie, and you know more than anyone that being blamed for something that you didn't do isn't fair" said Curtis.

"Don't let your strong emotions blind you, you know more than anyone else that no one deserves to be treated unfairly or die" said Curtis.

"You gave Maddie a second chance, you give everyone a second chance, so please don't be like this" said Curtis as Annie looked at him.

"Annie, you are the nicest, sweetest, kindest person that I know, and I don't like this Annie, Annie please come back to us" said Maddie as Annie frowned at her as she looked at her, and in the same moment, her eyes started to loose their purple colour as they switched from purple to green, until her eyes remained green as she just felt so tired and she almost fell down as Matt caught her.

"Annie are you alright?" asked Matt as he looked down at Annie in worry as she nodded her head.

"I'm fine, I just feel so dizzy" said Annie as she took a deep breath as she opened her eyes and she closed them back again, everything was just so bright.

"Annie, are you sure that you are okay?" asked Maddie.

"Because you are burning up" said Maddie as she felt Annie's temperature on her forehead using the back of her hand.

"I'm fine, right Curtis?" asked Annie as she opened her eyes and she looked at Curtis.

"Yes, she's fine" said Curtis as he replied.

"Here, some water" said Ollie as he threw Maddie, Annie's water bottle as Maddie caught it and she gave it to Annie as Annie gestured that Matt put her down and he did.

"What happened?" asked Annie as she handed her water bottle back to Maddie.

"You were awesome that's what, you singlehandedly defeated thousands of rogues" said Maddie as she was very proud.

"I did?" asked Annie in confusion as Maddie nodded.

"Wait, there were rogues?" asked Annie as it made no sense to her and Ollie, Maddie and Matt nodded.

"But where did they come from?" asked Annie.

"We have no idea" replied Matt.

"I don't remember anything about rogues" said Annie as she shook her head.

"I mean, you went crazy" said Maddie.

"The last thing I remember is drinking the water, and then talking to you, when suddenly everything went blank" said Annie.

"You were in a trance Annie, that's what Curtis said, because out here, you were frozen" said Maddie as Ollie nodded.

"So that's what that was" said Annie as now it made sense why it felt like she was watching through the years, those were memories and she had been in a trance.

"What did you see Annie?" asked Curtis.

"Lots of things, about Azazel, Abraham, the rogues and witches, the vampires" said Annie.

"Wait, you saw rogues?" asked Ollie as Annie nodded, she was trying to remember everything.

"Annie, you don't have to strain yourself right now to remember, we can do that later" said Curtis as Annie nodded.

"Annie, do you feel like you have your powers back?" asked Matt.

"Well I feel drained in a way, but other than that, I feel more or less the same" said Annie.

"Curtis review" said Maddie as she looked at Curtis.

"She has her magic back" replied Curtis.

"Finally, that was obvious, I mean she did cast a barrier spell on the eternal springs" said Maddie.

"I did?" asked Annie in confusion as she looked at the barrier.

"You did, which means your powers are back, and yet for some reason, I can't use my powers, I just tried to, how come you can and I can't?" asked Maddie.

"Because she must have somehow broken the barrier that stops magic on Caligo, meanwhile the rest of us still can't use magic" said Curtis as he explained.

"Well that's just great, we got your powers back, case closed, we are happy, mission accomplished" said Maddie as she felt like she could jump for joy.

"Oh after so long, finally we can get of this mountain to normal ground" said Maddie.

"Umm Maddie, you forget how long it took us to get up here, going back down won't be any easier" said Matt.

"Way to burst my bubble Matt, no I forgot about that" said Maddie as she started to cry internally.

"Wait, to actually test if my powers are back, maybe I should try getting us down" said Annie.

"Good idea Annie" said Ollie as he smiled.

"Which spell should I try?" asked Annie.

"A teleporting spell would be too strenuous" said Curtis.

"A floating spell would be the same" said Maddie.

"How about you use a transporting spell" said Ollie as Annie looked at him.

"Which spell is that?" asked Annie.

"Oh it's easy, you just close your eyes, so that you can focus, think of where you want to go and who you want to take with you" said Ollie as Annie nodded.

"Okay, let me try that" said Annie as she closed her eyes and she focused on going down from the mountain with everyone, and when she opened her eyes again, they were.

"You can't be serious, it's that easy?" asked Maddie as her mouth was wide open when she saw that they were no longer on the mountain, but back down where they started this journey.

"Very easy" said Ollie as he smiled and he looked up as Caligo was covered in mist once again, living up to its name.

"It actually worked, I do have my powers back!" said Annie in a mix of disbelief as she could not wrap her head around this.

"Yes you do, after so long" said Maddie as she smiled and Matt smiled at Annie too.

"Come on let's go, the carriage is over there waiting for us" said Curtis as they all nodded and they followed after him towards the carriage that had been waiting for them for such a long time.
