Chapter 1: End of semester

'Hey Newt. What's up? Are we going home now? Do you have enough transport? What are you going to have for lunch?' Her excitement could be noted from the way she asked him questions.

It was Bella 'the fatty' as they had nicknamed her but in Newton's eyes, he saw a complete different person whom one could consult, someone to have at a side and just the perfect friend for anyone.

Students were leaving the university as some were from very far places as much as Mombasa which was miles away from Kenyatta University.

'Hey let's not go home right now. Let's do some shopping stuff for our parents btw we won't be able to scrummble for seats.' He told her with a smile on his face.

He, Newton, was a slightly dark skinned person. His teeth perfectly white and had a round face. His eyebrows were bushy that made some People and haters call him a narcissist. He had pink-red lips that made girls to find him charming but he cared less. He was nicknamed 'babyface'

' I think it's a good Idea Newts. Let's go to the mall.' Bella answers him and they leave for the mall. After an hour, they return to the campus while carrying bags of sugar, rice and other basic items easily found at homes.

'The others have left so I guess we can now take our bags and go home.' He says and they park up and head to the matatu station. -matatu in Kenyan language is used to refer to the vans that carry passengers-

The two boarded a matatu that was graffitied and filled with stereo woofers . 'I'll sit at the back. Mind joining me ?' He asked. She said that she would join him. They sat at opposite sides and left a seat between them. Soon the seat was taken and the car took off heading towards Nakuru town.
