Naruto’s Birthday

Before going to the place where he was supposed to meet Naruto. Ash went to the market and began searching for gifts because today was Naruto's birthday. After looking for some time, he decided to buy a bracelet with a leaf symbol on it.

After buying and paying for the present, Ash headed towards the forest where he and Naruto usually met. He went there and sat under a tree, waiting for Naruto.

After some time, Ash saw Naruto coming towards him. Ash waved towards Naruto and Naruto waved back. But when Naruto came closer to him, he could see bruises on his hands and legs. There was even blood on the corner of his lips.

Considering that Naruto's wounds would always heal pretty quickly, it meant that he had just got these injuries. Ash was upset seeing Naruto's condition and he asked

"Naruto, what happened? Are you alright?". Naruto replied he was fine.

No matter how many times Ash asked Naruto what happened, Naruto always replied "I am fine" with a smile on his face.

Seeing that Naruto was fine, Ash gave Naruto his present. Naruto was very happy at his present and was jumping around in joy. He was holding the box and was laughing happily.

Ash said " Open it". Naruto started looking everywhere and replied " open what ?". Ash said" The box you idiot". Naruto responded with saying " But that will ruin my present". Ash answered " The real present is inside this box". Naruto laughed a little and said " Sorry, this my first time having a birthday present, so I thought this well decorated box was my present." Ash chuckled at his words but inside he was very dejected. He was extremely shocked that this boy has never received a birthday present before. Naruto was still a little reluctant about opening the box and messing up it's packing but, when he opened it and laid eyes to the bracelet, his eyes widened and he asked Ash " Is this for me?".

Ash replied " yes it's for you." Naruto didn't know what to say and after some time said "T-Thank You Ash".

At this Ash got up from his place and hugged Naruto. When Ash hugged Naruto, Naruto started crying loudly.

Ash said " It's alright."

Naruto kept crying and said while crying " I don't know why these villagers hate me. I didn't do anything. They keep calling me demon and other bad words. When I was in the orphanage, they wouldn't give me food for days and will always beat me. And they even kicked me out in the middle of the night. I had to eat from dumpsters and sleep in alleys. And then, old man hokage gave me an apartment. But even now, they come to my apartment and throw stuff from the windows. I would always tell them that I didn't do anything but they would never listen. Today is supposed to be my birthday, but these villagers hunt me this day every year and beat me. I don't know what to do Ash, I don't know what to do".

Naruto was still crying while hugging Ash, but Ash was also crying with Naruto. Naruto was very brave. He did not know how a 5 year old could withstand such treatment from the villagers. He is beaten everyday on his birthday.

Ash wanted to do something for Naruto. Suddenly he had an idea.
