Escape The Castle

Bloodied bodies lay in a large white Hall shrouded in darkness, and two Angels stood in the middle.

Lyris and Valia hide behind a pillar together; Lyris whispers

"Don't make a sound. We'll remain here till the two leave."

Valia nods

One of the angels kicks a body.

"She will be here soon if we don't kill every human and find the princess."

His nose wrinkled.

"I fear for our lives, let's move"

main glances at him and mumbles

"It's all Seraphina's fault; if she had been so idiotic, our extermination of humans would have been much cleaner."

"Don't talk about her like that! She's amazing. Yes, she may have threatened these mortals, but she's a great woman."

Lyris furrows his brow

'Seraphina seems to be an outlier among these angels, probably because of her compassion for humans. I should thank her.'

The angel snapped back, "Fool! You may love the bitch, but she loves humans, not angels, and even if she did love angels, she's our princess, you'd have no chance! Now, start moving. We have humans to kill. "

Xain tightened his fist, and the two walked out of the room.

Lyris and Valia stopped hiding. Valia asked

"So they're angels; what's that?"

Lyris replied

"I've heard a little about them, but all I can tell you now is that they're a threat."

Valia bends down and closes one of the dead soldier's eyes

"They said it's Seraphina's fault. I wonder what she did?"

Lyris looks at his hands and replies

"I know what she did. Look at your hands and concentrate on it."

She looks at him skeptically, inspects her hands, and then her eyes widen

"Wha-whats this! You see this lyris."

Lyris smiles and replies

"No, I do not see it, but I know her gift to us. It's meant to strengthen us, but I still have no clue how it works."

Valia pokes at the air with an astonished expression, her mouth hanging open

"Omg! So I can get as strong as my brother like this!"

Lyris smirks and replies

"My guess is you can get even stronger than the angels and even beyond that."

Valia has a wide grin on her face as she continues to poke the air

Lyris chuckles and added

"You'll have time to look at it later; let's escape first."

Valia ignored him and mumbled

"This changes everything! Usually, women are always weaker than men, but with this, everything changes. Thank you, Seraphina!"

Valia stands, and with a goofy grin, she added

"Follow me, weakling!"

Valia stands tall, puffs her chest out with pride, and leads the way

Lyris rolls his eyes and follows

They walk through an entranceway and find themselves in the shadows, behind a large pillar in a spacious throne room. The walkway up to the throne was littered with bodies of soldiers and angels with thick golden armor and a helmet that hid their faces.

Valia furrowed her brow and curled her lip.

"They defiled fathers throne room."

Lyris shushed her, placing his hand over her mouth and whispering In her ear

"Don't you see the angels there? We cannot be found."

Valia, wide-eyed, nods

Lyris removes his hands from her mouth and looks at the giant door at the end of the room open

'Somebody is coming.'

The door is pushed open, and a winged army, full of angels, white three-headed wyverns, lions with wings, and many more, all led by a woman who had white hair, red eyes, black eyelids, black full lips; she was beautiful,

she wore a white dress with black accents and white roses; she four enormous, beautiful black wings, 2 of which were blinding white, and the other two were as dark as an endless void. She had a suffocating aura that caused lyris and Valia to sweat.

In front of Seraphina, she no longer had her gorgeous wings; instead, her back was bathed with blood, and so was her dress. She is chained by the neck and crawled forward

'Seraphina, how could they…'

Lyris whispers to Valia,

"Look, the one crawling, that's Seraphina."

Valia flinched at the gruesome sight but stayed quiet.

The woman leading the army slowly walked towards the throne, making sure to step on the heads of the bodies on the way.

"Where is the king and his family?!"

No one answered; she twisted her lips and rolled her eyes. She tightened her grip on the chain and yanked Seraphina, throwing her on her back

"Was this also your fault, sister?"

Seraphina coughed blood and smiled, her teeth covered in blood

"Raziel, my puerile sister, you are hopeless."

Raziel screeched, "You never deserved anything Father gave you. You're a disgrace to the family!"

She stomped on Seraphina's face multiple times

Lyris watches this gruesome event and whispers

"I know it is stupid, but I want to save her."

Valia replied

"Me too."

Seraphina moaned and yelled

"I do not regret my actions, sister. I will protect our creator's creation at all costs!"

Raziel crouches near Seraphina and faces her, shouting

"The creators are gone! We rule ourselves now, and humans are ours to destroy, don't you understand, sister?"

Seraphina spits blood at her

And gets rewarded with a slap to the face

Raziel yells

"Take this disgrace of a princess away!"

Raziel's face glows, and the blood burns and turns into steam

. The armored angel takes Seraphina and walks her away, heading towards lyris and Valia.

She walks up the many steps, her army following behind

Raziel points at an angel

"Take two knights we took hostage and find the king and the rest of his family now!"

The angel quickly left the throne room in search of 2 knights

Raziel sat in the throne that was not hers and crossed her legs

She points at an angel and demands

"Find the cutest human man we took hostage and put him in the largest room in my new castle."

The angel bowed and left the throne room

Raziel smiled and demanded

"My army, go finish off the rest of the kingdom."

They all turn and march out of the throne room.

Lyris and Valia see an angel and Seraphina walking towards them

'Perfect'

Lyris pulls Valia to the other side of the pillar and whispers

'We must kill that angel, and I'll get him from behind.'

They wait for the angel and Seraphina to move closer, and then lyris comes out of hiding and stabs the angel in the head, blood gushing out.

A voice is heard in his head

(50 celestial gained)

Seraphina, confused, turns around, and her jaw drops at the sight of Lyris

"Lyris, how?"

Lyris silenced her by covering her mouth and whispers

"Let us escape this castle first."

He places her arm over his shoulder

"Valia, where do we go?"

Valia's jaw dropped as well, surprised by his swiftness

"Um, the closest exit is those big doors at the end of the throne room."

All three look at the door and shake their head.
