"Sir! We've isolated the building." A soldier stood at attention in front of a white screen. Gun pointed to the sky and fully adorning his military gear, he looked ready to engage in war at a moment's notice.
"That so?" A rough voice snaked its way through the white screen and to the soldiers ears. The soldier could only see his superiors silhouette through the screen, however, the man's silhouette l to him looked imposing. He wasn't tall but he was built like a mountain with broad shoulders and thick arms.
Through the screen he could see the officer's head, it was bald and when the officer turned his head he could make out some sharp and masculine facial features. The officer then pulled away the white screen taking in the air.
He stepped out of the truck, the man had a long coat that hung off his shoulder. He looked like a skinhead, all brawn and not a single ounce of brain in him. "Ain't this just dandy?" The officer stood in front of a massive building, military trucks and personnel crowded all around doing their individual tasks.
"Sir?" The Soldier followed the commanding officer. The soldier knew this officer as a known special general within the special forces division of Korea. No one could tell the man's name but most people called him 'General Storm'.
"Look at all this." The general gestured toward everything, "I gotta manage all of this and this entire district's schools. This is the biggest task i've ever done!"
"Sir, the-" The General merely waved him off before walking toward the gates of the school. Personnel saluated Storm as he went by. The Soldier picked up his speed and ran behind the general.
Once the general reached the gate he paused, most of the military personnel here have already seen it. But the general had just arrived.
"Look at that." The General murmured to himself.
The soldier could only nod in agreement.
"What the hell are we containing here?" General Storm looked at the soldier, his eyes showing a mixture of fear and excitement.
"We don't know, sir." The Soldier shook his head.
They both gazed back at a blue orb. It was explosive, electricity and smoke shooting around it and burnt the ground turning it a charcoal black while it rotated in a context vortex like a gateway to another dimension. It was frightening, it just one day appeared… that same day. Over a million people disappeared from korea.
Most notably all of the people who went to school, including kids as young as 14 disappeared. Entire schools were deserted, while the outside world was none the wiser. That was until the calls came in… about Disappearance and these freaky blue orbs were reported.
The government went into disarray, millions of people disappeared and a blue orb resembling something out of science fiction came out of nowhere. They couldn't explain it… nor could basic science either.
General Storm slowly nodded his head, he was just briefed by the soldier and the scientific expert. "Are we just gonna sit here and wait for them to reappear?"
The scientific expert, a man in his early forties, with slim black hair answered "We already have some conclusions. Most of them… are bad, however, with the lack of knowledge we have on this field. It's better than nothing."
"So?" General Storm looked at the expert.
"We believe that these things took everyone." The scientist was about to continue when General Storm interrupted.
"That's obvious." He spoke with somewhat of a condescending tone.
The scientist coughed before continuing "However, that's all we know for sure… some of are theories range from a portal to it just being a bomb left after whatever thing took them."
"Bomb? Then why are we standing here, shouldn't we evacuate people out?" General storm perked up.
"Those are only theories, General… Besides, reports say that these things are everywhere and given that it's beyond science that bomb could very well be stronger than a nuclear one… Even if we did evacuate we have nowhere to place the people. I've heard the government is attempting to build a massive evacuation bomb shelter on the down low as we conduct experiments... " The scientist explained to the general slowly.
"We've even asked for foreign aid, general." The soldier spoke lowly.
"Foreign aid? How has that come up?" The general sent a glance at the soldier.
"It appears that these things might not be only located in Korea alone… many governments are suspected to have these problems too. Everyone, everywhere… are on the line speaking about a world wide meeting of all the countries." The soldier spoke with a hint of fear in his voice, the situation was serious. If what they were looking at really was a bomb with the capability of a nuclear bomb… then that meant a lot of things would happen. All things he didn't like.
". . ." The General was silent.
"Continue your duties and scientist, i need you to confirm quickly whether that thing is a bomb or not." The General stood up.
The soldier and scientist stood up and saluted before exiting the tent.
The general looked up, at the ceiling of the tent 'I only took a month off…' The Special forces army called him on his month off and he came back quickly… to be met with this.
The General then heard a scream, then he heard more, then the gunshots. Accompanied by a grotesque roar, it was a mixture betweens a lion and a dog's bark making it sound inhuman even for animals and messed up.
The general rushed out of the tent, it was near the front of the gate. He saw the familiar crimson color of blood on the ground, accompanied by the lifeless body of a mutilated soldier. Their neck had been torn apart and their arm had been ripped apart. He looked up, he could see soldiers grabbing their guns and shooting off rounds at massive beasts.
'What the hell…' His gaze swept across the battlefield, he immediately rushed forward, his body leaned forward as he grabbed the gun off the mutilated body. He immediately took aim, the barrel pointed toward one of the massive beasts about to pounce on a soldiers back.
He pressed the trigger, the beast immediately tilted to the side and fell down. Bullet holes puncturing its hide.
"Pull back and regroup!" he shouted, his voice was recognizable and the most authoritative among all the screaming and gunfire it sounded like the voice of god.
Soldiers immediately followed his orders to the tea, while the general paused there. His eyes now focused on the blue orb, well that was if you could call it that anymore.
The blue orb had morphed itself into a cloudy and electrical door that stood about 3 meters tall. The door opened up revealing nothing but the void, but within the void was eyes. The eyes slowly emerged from the void revealing a 2 meter tall pitch black wolf…
"It's not a bomb at least…" The General looked on, he felt his blood pumping. The soldiers were following orders perfectly after they fell back, they had regrouped perfectly. The wolves were organized and once they saw the organized attack they pulled away… and began to hide behind objects brought by the military.
"Come on! Fuck these animals!" He shouted. He led the soldiers in an aggressive counter attack, the massive beasts couldn't hold an inch against gunfire. However, the 2 meter tall wolf did… it broke through their lines using their head as a battering ram and it's tail as a club.
The General aimed his gun at the wolf and fired off his entire magazine into it, but that didn't stop its approach. The wolf rammed into his body, forcefully pushing him into the air before he fell back down to the ground hard.
The wolf stopped after the ram and looked at the general with a sneer on its face.
The General struggled but he eventually stood up, he shouted "Spread out and shoot, stick to your captains. I'll handle this!"
He was injured, he felt a few of his ribs break when the wolf hit him and a few more broke on the way down. However, he felt numb to it all after he fell down. Adrenaline coursed through his veins as a manic surge of strength went through the general's body.
The Gigantic wolf looked at the general, its predator-like eyes narrowed as it stared at him. The wolf was taking the general up on its challenge.
The general shrugged off his coat and pulled out a jagged dagger. He always carried this with him…
The General faced the beast and the wolf lowered down ready to pounce in on the general.
